Review 1：The breakfast was not up to standard. Location is far from the town. Not that much of activities or places to see around the hotel. The staff has an attitude towards guests such as whispering in their own language in the presence of guests as well as cold welcome/treatments.

Review 11：The beach is rubbish. But then all the beaches I saw in Penang are filthy. The petrol smell from the jetskis can get annoying around the pool which is lovely but really does need a good pool man to clean the tiles. Wifi is hit and miss. The drinks prices are more than double the going rate as is the food. But there is a more than excellent cafe/Resturant literally across the Rd. Excellent English breakfast. Best curry I've had for years.

Review 15：The location is great, it is close to the main night market and local/international restaurants. It is in front of the beach and it has a spa, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Right in front passes the tour city bus and taxis are available to go for city tours.

Review 16：The hotel is abt 1hr plus from the airport and the roads to the hotel is long and windy. The cab driver drove like he was on an F1 track. Reached the hotel at about 7pm plus, the hotel lobby looks dark. It had an open concept lobby and there wasnt much lighting. The room felt dark too even though we had all the lights on. The dresser light was faulty, couldn't on but the maintenance guy came by pretty fast to fix it. On 2nd night, the wardrobe light was faulty and flickering. Everytime u open or close the main door or toilet door, the balcony curtains just shakes. I dont even know how that is even possible but it's true. Another thing is the concierge is not well informed. When we enquired about how to get around penang or the hotel shuttle bus or tourist bus or the journey time to get to places in penang, they need to keeping checking with another person and gave very uncertain and unconvincing answers. The hotel is kinda out of the way. Getting to town or tourist attractions can take more than 45min depending on traffic. Be prepare to waste time travelling to ur destination and on cab fare.

Review 17：The nice thing abt the hotel is probably the pool and its right beside the beach.. we pretty much had the pool and the beach to ourselves, probably cause it wasnt the holiday season. There's horse riding, jetski and parasailing at the beach. The room has a balcony, our room had the partial sea view, which was nice. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of variety but it was pretty much the same food daily. Checking in and out was a breeze, not much hassle or fuss. The concierge is helpful only when u need to book a cab. As we tend to book a cab in advance like for the next day or the day we need leave for airport. They remember and follow up with u abt ur cab booking.

Review 18：there were building works on the beach so we can't really walk along the beach. I asked about 'claiming back the GST' for the hotel stay and the receptionist told me we could. However, we found out at the airport that we could not. Staff should 'know' if the information they are giving out is correct.

Review 20：There is a horse riding activity at the beach there.When i asked the guy who lead the horse that whether can take photo with the horse or not.He answered me that i can ride on the horse and take photo but he didnt tell me that i need to pay if he let me to ride on the horse and take photo.So after he helped me to take photo,he asked me to pay and made me feel like i was cheated. Hope u can train the worker well.

Review 21：Nice seaview.Relaxing atmosphere and comfortable foot massage.The malay guy who in charge of the swimming pool and the indian uncle who is in charged of the water activity are very friendly.

Wonderful quiet green area between the pool and beach, peffect for lounging in the sun. Nice internal atrium area of the hotel. There are a few eating options opposite the road of the hotel.

Review 30：The beach has sewage works going on at the moment so constant drilling occurs all day. Behind the hotel is the main road and the sewage plant so a garden view is actually a sewage view. The breakfast restaurant is like a shopping mall canteen, the smells permeate the whole hotel. The Chinese restaurant is awful, do not eat there. The pool is not especially clean and is filled with a lot of kids and people smoking at the bar in the middle. You can't actually find space to swim. Finally the spa is horrendous with rude and aggressive staff. I would recommend finding another hotel.

Review 31：We're do I begin. Pretty much everything in this hotel needs replacing (the safe m, the room door, the balcony floor ect. The staff was rude upon check in and gave us no information about what we could do with the 2 hours they Had us waiting to get our room. The hotel had little to know atmosphere and was a huge and empty. Even getting to the pool was a stupid maze of stairs and lifts most of had shutter halfway down. THE BEACH AREA... Would of been beautiful if they had not been concrete trucks and work men building some kind of large thing attached to the beach, which may I add we did not get told anything of the sort before booking. Even when we asked them to call a taxi to leave they said they could not and we would have to flag one down on the road with our cases! A hotel the size of the bay view should be able to call one taxi shouldn't they?

Review 35：It`s a great place for parents with small children, but as a young couple we felt a bit board sometimes. For New year`s eve there was only a dinner that finished at 10.30 pm, so we had to go to another hotel for a party.

Review 55：staff (room services). During my checkout time everything was ok n they returned my deposit. they did verified during my c.out time (using walkie talkie) and the staff said all ok. Unfortunately after 1 hour after check out the hotel staff called me and requested me to return back to hotel and mentioned I still owed the hotel for RM 40 for the drinks that I took from mini bar. I was explained I did not take anything from mini bar. The staff keep blaming me and said they cannot find the drinks in mini bar. After half an hour another staff called me and mentioned they found empty bottle and canned at my room. I was the last person c.out from my room and I managed to check in mini bar all the bottle and canned was there and I didn't take anything from mini bar. The staff that called me are vey rude and are using the rude words to me as customer. My husband decided to return back to hotel and make clear clarification with the front manager. The manager firstly didn't accept my explanation but finally she accepted. Thanks for the manager. It was a very bad experienced to me and my family.Eventhough my kids like the hotel, but due to this incident I will not recommended this hotel to all.

Review 69：Very dirty, short beach. Beach was fully occupied by dogs and horses!!It was smelly too. Probably from the animals's urine. There was noway to sit on the beach peacefully without the fear of being knockedinto by the horses. Absolutely horrible! All other facilities close at7pm sharp. Ridiculous that we don't have any activities afterdinner. Also we were charged for tennis racket rental. Other hotels westayed in offered the rackets and courts foc.

Review 99：This is the first time I writing the negative comment for the hotel that I booked thru Booking.com. One of the front desk staff (Chinese girl) unfriendly when handling my check in. Firstly she said that the room is not ready yet, after 30 minutes she said they haven't receive my booking (no record in their system). Then I called Booking.com to verify, finally got the room but the room given is at 2nd floor. My booking was the room with partial sea view but the view all blocked by the coconut tree. (can't call it with partial sea view at all) Most disappointed room that I had ever stay...

Review 107：I've told them that I'm going to pay in cash and still they made a pending transaction over my credit card without my permission and still after 2 weeks from check out the transaction is not cancelled. Knowing that they told me that this transaction would be cancelled and fully refunded withing 3 days from check out. When I contacted them they seem to have forgotten about cancelling the transaction and till the moment the problem is not resolved. At the beginning of my stay, I've suffered from a jet lag and everyday I missed the breakfast which I paid extra to get it by the way, and when I tried to explain this to them, they told they have nothing to do. Knowing that I have a little baby boy, who I should wake him up every morning to get his breakfast. Also the room had electricity problems and one time the electricity went out totally and they took about 1 hour to fix it

Review 125：The whole hotel is very dated, though apparently there is some modernising in process. The decor is very 1980s, and the carpet in the bedroom had a damp musty smell. The lobby/bar area is very bar and not a welcoming place to sit, the bar area was mostly completely deserted. The 1st night of my stay there was a big group event outdoors with music playing till about 11.30 (which was fine) and an extremely loud MC blaring through a microphone making it hard to sleep.

Review 126：Good location right on the beach and near restaurants, and not far from Tropical Spice Garden. Staff were polite and helpful. The pool and gardens were pleasant to relax in. My room was big with a seating area, comfy bed and a balcony with a partial view of the sea. Most of the breakfast options are geared to Asian rather than Western tastes, but it was nice to have breakfast on the verandah.
