Reviews for Healesville Apartments
Review 1:We arrived late so a continental breakfast bread milk juice good coffee greatly appreciated. We were an older couple traveling with my daughter, husband and 2 small kids so your help in providing a mattress and a travel cot very much appreciated and the fig tree with visiting orange parrots was the icing on the cake
Review 2:Just a few little aspects that are being worked on but there was nothing really that we didn't like.
Review 3:Plenty of space for two mature couples and we enjoyed eating dinner on the balcony in the evening sun
Review 4:Very steep driveway with tricky parking
Review 5:Perfect location close to town Included breakfast was a handy bonus Late spacious apartment with ample room Would have loved to have used the spa bath but ran out of time :(
Review 6:. Whilst I understand we were told check in was 2pm, we arrived in Heallesville at 1pm and had wedding rehearsals. I checked to see if our apartment was ready & it was so I proceeded to put bags inside. Greeted by owner shouting "text message stated 2pm check in". Most hotels/apartments gladly allow guests in early if room is ready! I was rather shocked.
Review 7:Spacious apartment and great location. Welcome breakfast of muesli, juice, fresh baked bread was a lovely surprise.
Review 8:We had no problems. A couple of the cups had tiny chips. Some noise from footsteps upstairs. Maybe some carpet/rugs could cure most of it.
Review 9:Location and space. Bbq. We only stayed 2 nights( for a wedding) , but would have liked to have stayed longer..appreciated the bread, milk, etc.
Review 10:Getting the car out of the (figtree) garage was a bit tight. Some of the tv channels didn't have good reception.
Review 11:Tthe rooms were all of a generous size. The location was very peaceful.
Review 12:Only 1 radio station seemed to work, but it wasn't a big deal because the CD player worked (pretty minor).
Review 13:It was very quiet, had lovely birds visiting us on our balcony, had BBQ facilities. I also left something behind and the owner was very helpful about returning my belongings to me.
Review 14:We actually had an adult son with us, so the third bed was a little small though he had no trouble sleeping. The nights were a bit chilly so lack of power points made it difficult to use the provided heaters
Review 15:We really enjoyed the ambience of the cottage and the garden, particularly the visiting parakeets. the breakfast provisions were delicious and more than adequate.
Review 16:High quality pots/crueset and washing machine/dryer- wonderful ambience and base to stay for awhile... Added extra- bird seed for the birds and fresh bread loaf/milk/juice on arrival.
Review 17:We didn't like the steep tricky driveway, no good reversing down at night, but small gripe for a great apartment.
Review 18:Spacious, comfortable, fireplace, location, self contained
Review 19:Advertising was deemed to deceive. Not up to "Apartment" standard. Door security non-existent. Poor inside lighting. Bathroom cramped with bath, toilet & washing machine. Shower was over a bath that was high to climb into, and there were curtains around bath rather than a screen. Heating in unit was barely adequate. Driveway was narrow & steep. Carrying luggage up steep path & steps was difficult. This appeared to be an old building used for several apartments.
Review 20:WI-Fi, Adequate cooking utensils, Hot water, Birds in garden.
Review 21:Delightful, French provincial style garden apartment with lovely touches such as bread, local jam and plunger coffee for breakfast, and seed for the bird feeder in the garden. Spotlessly clean, ideally located and lovely outlook.
Review 22:It took us a day to heat the apartment..it would have be nice to have it heated in August. Many light globes were out.Had to stuff newspaper into gaps around old balcony door to stop the draft. Bed linen needs updating.
Review 23:Good location...easy walk to shops yet quiet street. Laundry facilities.
Review 24:We stayed on one of the coldest weekends during the 2015 winter, so the heating in this fibro house was limited. The range of cooking and eating utensils was limited. The noise form the adjoining room/ guests can be annoying.
Review 25:The Japanese themed room and amenities were beautiful. The inclusion of fresh local bread and jam for breakfast was a nice touch. The Spa bath looking into the private garden was absolutely beautiful. The electric blanket on the bed was greatly appreciated.
Review 26:The main bed was quite uncomfortable for those used to a firmer mattress.
Review 27:Great location, very warm and cosy for Queenslanders in the middle of a Victorian winter! Good facilities, generous breakfast. Helpful staff.
Review 28:Our stay was too short...
Review 29:An absolutely lovely property with a gourmet breakfast hamper awaiting us. Even the wood was chopped for our fire, no effort required to enjoy the fire with our red wine. thank you.
Review 30:we like everything. the place was comfortable, spotless, perfect location. we would definitely stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends.
Review 31:There was a note on our arrival apologising for damage in the bathroom as they had not had time to get it fixed. The damage looked like it had been there for some time.
Review 32:Great location in centre of town
Review 33:The toilet was always cold, even though we turned on the heating machine. The toilet is located at the entrance walkway of the apartment, away from the main apartment.
Review 34:Quiet and peaceful. Apartment was spacious and loved the extra large bed.
Review 35:Needed new Light globes in some lamps Cockroach on fridge Needed to know brand of orange juice ......sugar? Brand of jam
Review 36:Spaciousness and decor View and furniture Magazines Terrace Clean Breakfast items Bed
Review 37:It's a little bit dark in the living room
Review 38:A lot of space inside and outside the apartment. A delicious breakfast basket. Shops and restaurants nearby. A good location from where you can visit the sanctuary and for making wine trips.
Review 39:There isn't a detail that Gaylene has not thought of. My friend and I were surprised and delighted with the gorgeous homey décor, completed with fresh locally baked bread, homemade local jam and fresh tea, coffee, milk, juice, milk and butter all supplied. It was a lovely stay, very convenient to the town and wineries. I would definitely return.
Review 40:Apartment was cold, after difficulty putting on heaters etc. discovered that a window was open until the following morning. This did not help our efforts to heat the apartment.
Review 41:Everything, apart from one thing - cold
Review 42:Could hear the people in the apartment next door. Maybe that was because he was a really loud snorer or the walls were thin!!!!
Review 43:Lots of lovely little touches that made the stay great. Loved the decor, balcony view and the jam for breakfast was delicious!
Review 44:none.
Review 45:fully equipped house. when there, the night was cold but there are heaters in living room, the two bedrooms and the bathroom. thoughtful host who provided bread, jam, muesli, milk and orange juice. also, lots of tea and coffee provided too. we enjoyed our comfortable stay. the house has quite a scenic surrounding and is just a short walk to the shops and restaurant. we recommend this apt to others.
Review 46:I didnt expect to have any foods provided, but i found bottles of milk and orange juice in the fridge, plus a loaf of bread and jam. Very appreciate the kind thought of the owner.
Review 47:Not so much a bad experience, but the single bed could do with a thicker mattress and we were not used to the shower in the beautiful bath, a little small.
Review 48:We found the location the best, just far enough away from the main street, but close enough to everything by foot.
Review 49:loved the loaves of fresh bread & jam, a real country feel apartment with wooden floors, large secure backyard for dogs, comfy bed and a lovely bath to relax in
Review 50:The lighting scheme could be improved in the living dining with a couple of standing lamps.
Review 51:Felt like a private home with everything you would expect. The generosity of the complimentary breakfast supplies was exceptional.
Review 52:Both nights of our stay we had drunken inconsiderate people staying in the adjoining apartment. Loud music and yelling started up at midnight and continued for hours.
Review 53:Great garden apartment centrally located in Healesville. Short walk to shopping area. Easy access to wineries and restaurants in the region if you have a car. The apartment was very pleasant and clean and well appointed. Decorated in a country style. Bread, milk, butter and jam were left for us - thank you! Tea and coffee supplied. Onsite parking. Wifi worked well. Would stay again!
Review 54:The couch was too small for three people but there was room for three people to sleep.
Review 55:Comfortable, clean apartment that is close to the centre of town and the bus stop. The small secluded garden was lovely and we had daily visits from cockatoos and lorikeets. The fresh bread was delicious and the kitchen was well appointed.
Review 56:Driveway is steep and makes exiting difficult when the carpark is full.
Review 57:Great location and spacious apartment. Bed comfortable for a short term stay. Balcony has awesome views and you feel secluded when you're right on the middle of town. Would highly recommend.
Review 58:There was a chipped glass but other than that nothing!
Review 59:Great facilities, all you could want in a 'holiday home', walking distance to everything and the décor was charming.
Review 60:Noises through walls from other rooms. Bathroom very tired. Shower loose as were other fittings. Breakfast too basic could have provided a few eggs. Knives and some kitchen utensils broken.
Review 61:Location. Great bed. Size of apartment. Friendliness of owner.
Review 62:-Extremely steep driveway and tight parking spots -Gate to backyard outdoor space didn't shut at all (no guaranteed privacy in outdoor space) -Blinds didn't block out the morning sun effectively (so you woke up quite early!)
Review 63:-Owner extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming -Location walking distance to shops, supermarket etc -Balcony has a great view of Treetops and fantastic place to have breakfast/BBQ -Quiet and peaceful atmosphere -Tea, coffee, milk, bread and muesli provided on first day -Large, deep spa bath -Apartment was decorated fantastically and had an unconventional (but very convenient) layout
Review 64:The small 2nd bedroom in the Garden Suite was very noisy when next door had their air conditioner going as the noise seemed to travel through the roof space. Their conversation was also audible through the wall - but both were only a problem in this room, not in the rest of the unit.
Review 65:Very well appointed, kitchen & bathroom were large & very serviceable as well as attractive rooms. Enjoyed the feathered visitors & the provision of bird seed for them. Being able to sit out on the verandah with a glass of wine was good.
Review 66:The bed was extremely hard!
Review 67:The apartment was in a great location close to the main street of Healesville. It was spacious and well appointed in terms of the kitchen etc although no tissues were provided in the bathroom.
Review 68:We stayed in the Figtree apartment which provided a very spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean home away from home for our 2 night stay – including lovely fresh towels and local soap and the breakfast hamper included very nice local bread and jam. The apartments are a short walk to the pretty main street. The apartment has 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet, however only one of the bathrooms has a shower as the other has a corner spa bath. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend the Healesville Apartments.
Review 69:The bed was very uncomfortable we have stayed here before and the bed was so comfortable this mattress was so hard we both ended up with a sore back
Review 70:The apartment was quite comfortable and plenty of room nice atmosphere
Review 71:Tricky driveway, good we had a small car.
Review 72:Relaxed atmosphere, great view, close to shops, thought of all the little things to make our time there just like home.
Review 73:Shower was great but unfortunately water went everywhere as the shower curtain could not contain the spray. The unit next to us had a very noisy family and we could hear everything that was been said and done but no fault of the owners.
Review 74:Our unit was decorated in a shabby chic style and done well. Unit was one street back from Main Street but was so close to cafes and shops. The cute garden was beautiful and a great touch was the bird seed that was left to feed the birds.
Review 75:The trumpet shower made a bit of a mess ( water on the floor)
Review 76:Beautiful surrounds, lovely apartment and a welcome breakfast hamper. Also a short walk to town and drive to some great wineries
Review 77:The couch in the lounge was very uncomfortable and low. I actually hurt my back twice and I am still suffering.. The fry pan in kitchen made our eggs scrambled instead of fried as they stuck to it. The bed was uncomfortable and made very weird noises every time will rolled over.
Review 78:Loved the apartment, sitting on balcony in the sun relaxing. Presentation was excellent. Loved the fact we arrived and had tea and coffee, milk, bread and orange juice. Dressing gowns were a bonus. Loved the location.
Review 79:The outside table umbrella did not work. TV had poor speakers. Rear courtyard chairs were uncomfortable.
Review 80:Hamper was lovely. Decor was beautiful. Woodfire was good. Spa was great. Washing machine and dryer helpful. Beautiful garden and views. We felt at home.
Review 81:Very close to shops and restaurants. Our apartment had a Japanese theme with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely views across the treetops, and we enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the deck, with plenty to occupy us during the day in the area.
Review 82:Wifi not working even after call to off-site owners. Walking down to the Main Street difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
Review 83:Beautifully appointed cottage with open fireplace and double spa. Great kitchen and laundry facilities and yummy breakfast basket.
Review 84:Small thing.Hose on shower fitting.
Review 85:Location in town.View.Homey feel to well thought out apartment. More of a converted house.Real effort put into little details.Lovely area to explore with our two adult sons on a very special family break.Great place to just hang out.We played cards!!!Eating out at the Healsville Hotel a bonus .
Review 86:not much i didnt like. steep driveway is a bit of a challenge - as was finding the accommodation in the dark as the street number is not very prominent
Review 87:2 separate rooms, close to Healesvillle main street, clean and affordable, cosy, bread and condiments as a welcome basket
Review 88:I bit better lighting going up the stairs at night would be the only thing I would improve on but wasn't a big deal
Review 89:It was ideal for us we were in town for a friends 50th Birthday weekend so the location was great walking distance to everything we needed warm cosy and quite
Review 90:Nothing worth mentioning.
Review 91:The apartment was beautifully decorated with Japanese style furniture and finishes with a lovely outlook and quiet location close to the Main Street and within walking distance of many great food and drink places.
Review 92:Owner has very good taste in decorating the apartment, from furniture to plates, everything is carefully selected. We love the big balcony overlooking mountains. The location is convenient, few minutes drive from town centre.
Review 93:Uncomfortable trundle bed in second bedroom. No tissues provided
Review 94:Very well positioned. Nicely decorated and warm. Great breakfast provided. Great value!
Review 95:It was very cold in the morning. Although the bed has lovely electric blankets and is very snug and there are radiators that can be switched on in the living room and bathroom, it was cold to get out of bed and get started. I decamped to the Innocent Bystander for breakfast in the warm.
Review 96:Clean and comfortable apartments with great location and wonderful views. Love the birdlife in the trees.
Review 97:Tricky parking for Tree Tops Apartment, limited heating, need to be careful with path to front door when wet and only poor lighting.
Review 98:The Japanese theme, view, central location, two outdoor areas.
Review 99:Very welcoming surrounds and facilities; nothing was missing and liaison with Gaylene was efficient and extremely cordial.
