Review 1：Bad service, thermostat didn't work, lights were temperamental, 1 iron in the hotel for guests to use, restaurant was terrible, reception ordered taxi late

Review 3：Pool was just too cold to swim in despite the lateness of the season and great of the day. We both tried countless times but it really wasn't comfortable to get in. The occasional other guests couldn't use it either. Also there was no atmosphere anywhere. No music at the poolside, no drinks service. Even the water cooler in the fitness centre was empty and there were no staff to ask. The breakfast room staff were like ghosts. They cleared the tables silently but didn't appear long enough to ask for anything like more hot water for tea or decent size mugs. The bar area at night was so quiet and felt anti social. I guess if it was a business stay hotel it was appropriate but it didn't really have a holiday feel at all.

Review 18：The unpleasant part of this stay was the restaurant; very small selection (3 options for each category) and very expensive for what you get. Besides the staff in the restaurant is very poor, we were attended by an older fat guy who could bearly speak English and at the end was also rood. He actually insulted me in Italian, as he was not aware I understand the language. That person should not be working there. We didn't say anything but I complained with the guy at reception, which said will inform the manager...We don't recommend the restaurant however, it is better to search for something close by.

Review 19：The hotel is okay basically, location was convenient for our meeting next morning. Room and bathroom were fine, confortable, although only shampoo and shower gel is a bit unusual for a 4 star hotel. Staff at reception helpful, no complains.

Review 41：Charging 8 EUR/Day for Internet access and 5 EUR/Day for a kettle in the room not very understandable based on room prices that they are charging. Hotel restaurant is operated by a different company and their staff is unfriendly and not helpful at all. They do have only one highchair for the babies while there are more than 5 babies in the restaurant almost at anytime. Breakfast is really limited. They do only serve scrambled eggs, If you ask hard boiled or sunny side up; it costs you another 6-8 Euro per egg. I asked for bag of black tea.After 3 more requests within 20 min. They told me , it was out of stock and there was nothing they could do about it even though there is a bar ( operated by them ) and hotel reception 20m away from where the restaurant is and you can find one easily. When I wanted to complain about this to the hotel manager. Reception was informed me that hotel manager was not there for the weekend. Hotel management should re-consider of choice for company that operating the restaurant or not include breakfast in their offers.

Review 42：Location of the hotel is convenient to do daily trips around for other attractions. It has a large outdoor and indoor parking area for cars. Playground outside and playroom inside is quite nice for kids convenience. Hotel staff is friendly & helpful.

Review 43：The hotel sorroundings were not the best if you dont have a car you cant get anywhere walking distance. Breakfast choice was ok. Eggs were not good. Varese is not a city we will visit again, it is rundown.

Review 47：1) Felt like I went to a boarding school.2) Asked for an Iron in my room to press clothes and was informed Ironing was not permitted in the room 3) Was informed that I have to take my clothes to a specific space in the 3rd.floor to Iron clothes. 4) When I asked why it was not permitted in the room, Was informed by Reception that this was the RULE IN ITALY??? 5) When I told them that I was coming from another hotel in ITALY where I ironed my clothes, I was told "When steam comes off the IRON, it will activate the FIRE ALARM sytem" Since I am an Engineer in the same field, I informed them that this is totally not true since I activate such systems. I was finally informed that this is the MANAGEMENT POLICY??? I am writing to the management regarding the same shortly

Review 48：The hotel is a series of missed opportunities. It's mediocre (not really bad), but with that infrastructure (and at that price) it should be great, and that's just not the case. The staff behind the scenes (kitchen, cleaning) cuts quite a few corners, and seem disinterested. Coffee and eggs at breakfast were cold (even when they've just put a fresh can of coffee on the counter), and every other morning, the pastries and bread were stale. The food at the restaurant is bland (which is a pity, because I think they use quality ingredients) and quite expensive (head into town for dinner), and again, sometimes cold already. The cleaning staff will not always replenish the coffeemaking facilities. Wifi isn't free, which it should be in this day and age (probably because in a business hotel, people will buy the vouchers regardless) And while not really a negative, all the lifts have a button for a fifth floor which is plainly not there (it can't be pressed), which is a bit odd.

Review 67：We decided to have a dinner at the hotel the first night. The service was appalling. Our order for drinks has not arrived on two occasions, the meal was overpriced and not very tasty. At the breakfast there was no fresh vegetable and it was not possible to order fried eggs free of charge. There was also only one type of bread left in the morning - the bread basket was not filled up continuously.

Review 74：Nothing worked. Almost no guests, room key cards did not work (twice),room safe did not work, room fridge did not work, etc. etc. Internet wasexpensive, and service was intermittent. The room we were assigned (witha small balcony) overlooked the hotel garbage pickup area. Why wouldthey assign this room when the hotel was almost empty??Service was atrocious. Tried to have dinner in huge (empty - only one table occupied) dining room. Were assigned table next to service desk where people were coming and going to arrange party in another room. Waiter refused to move us. Band started practicing loudly in adjacent room so we left. Room service was expensive, food arrived cold, and food was not what we ordered. DO NOT STAY HERE, this is a conference hotel that does not work for individual guests (and maybe not for conferences either). On checkout I refused to pay for room service dinner and dysfunctional internet. I won the battle after a half hour argument.

Review 75：The only thing I liked was the building and the room. Beautiful, new,modern. But the place is a white elephant with no guests and no service.

Review 76：The location is not practical, and is more that 1km from the center. We ended up having to drive into town. Dinner at the restaurant was quite disappointing - the food was mediocre, oily and was not good value for money. In addtion the restaurant staff was so slow (taking over 20 minutes to bring the check) and did not have the level of professionalism one would expect in a 4 star hotel. I'd recommend the hotel to others but bear in mind the location and avoid the restaurant for dinner.

Review 77：The hotel itself is quite new and we were greeted by very friendly recption staff. The family room was quite spacious, with a wonderful bathroom, kitchenette and separate bedroom. The breakfast (included) was a full hot and cold buffet, with fresh fruit and glutin-free breakast options.
