Review 1：No breakfast.
Review 2：Location. Although its not right smack at the more happening area at night, still it is very close to couple of interesting markets and a bus and taxi station, and relatively busy area daytime. Walkable to waterfront. Pretty clean and comfortable, OK with the price that I pay.

Review 12：Location was very central. This is a simple budget hotel, great if you just need to stay one night in Tawau on your way to islands. Make sure you ask for a window room. Some rooms have no window and are a cave.

Review 17：The room smelt of raw sewage, which was so bad that it woke me up several times through the night. We were so jet lagged that I wasn't sure if I was imagining it. When I got up the next morning the room was rancid, and I went outside to complain. I spoke to the manageress and asked her to come and smell the room. Upon going back in it smelt even worse. She refused to do anything about it, laughed in my mothers face when my mother complained, and told us that we should have complained in the middle of the night, and not in the morning. I asked her to speak to the manager and she said no. I said we shouldn't have been put in the room in the first place and she said it was our faults for not complaining sooner. Her customer service skills were appalling to say the least. She refused to even acknowledge that she shouldn't have put us in that room. I strongly advise staying in another hotel if you have the option. As someone who travels a lot, I'm used to all sorts of types of accommodation, and I. Don't mind if it's just a bed to sleep in, but this was just disgusting. I would never stay here again.

Review 19：We were given the room next to reception and staff woke us up with theirchatter at 6am. The sewage stench from the bathroom is quiteoverwhelming. The bed is as hard as concrete and the wifi works so-so.

Review 26：There was only one towel provided in the room. Of course I could have easily asked for another but just used our own. The aircon was a bit noisy and made some strange sounds throughout the night. You have to walk up a flight of stairs. Not such a hardship but for the lame, it might be a concern.

Review 34：No toilet paper. Tiny room. Towels full of holes. Maid barged into the room at 9am while I was still sleeping and instead of apologising just laughed. I checked out and for only a little more spent the next night at the Heritage Hotel which was a thousand times better and is where I'll go again when I return.

Review 36：Walls are made of partition and noise from next door is so loudly heard. Even can hear next room snoring. My room is exactly facing the front desk so could be noisy too. Air-cond aslo noisy maybe need maintenance, but is cold enough. Wifi is always disconnecting and sometimes unable to connect back. Location wise look like situated in a back lane and very dark at night. Otherwise is within few walking distance to eating places.

Review 40：Apart from the guy whom I assume to be a manager, no one else, at least during my stay, understand English.
Review 41：A guy, whom I assume is a manager, is a great help. He patiently answered all my questions and arranged all the fussing transfers I asked for. He even let me use a shower after checking out, as I needed to clean myself after spending a whole day in a rainforest fighting leeches, before boarding a plane back home. The room is small but comfortable and clean enough to get a good rest for a short stay. It is located in the city center and in a walking distance to hawker centers, markets and the water promenade.
Review 42：The guesthouse is on a single floor of a building in the centre of town and it can be a bit noisy if your room is near the reception at the front as people tend to congregate there and chat. The call to prayer from the nearby mosque may bother some. Not us. The confirmation indicates that "free toiletries are provided" but this isn't true - there's a soap dispenser on the wall. That's it! Note - payment accepted by cash only.

Review 128：All rooms are adjacent to the lobby/reception area, which is generally used for socialising (talking, watching tv, movies, singing...) amongst guests and staff. Fine during the day but problematic when it continues until after midnight and starts again by 6am. Walls are paperthin so there really is no blocking out the noise. Not a place to get a restful nights sleep.
