Review 1：Kitchen was lacking in cooking utensils, pots and pans. Windows were not clean, when we opened the window it was full of spider webs. We could not access the balcony from the 2nd bedroom, we asked reception and they said this door had been locked for kids, since we were 4 adults this did not work for us. When we checked in the receptionist was not very welcoming or friendly. Paid extra for parking and WIFI.

Review 3：The lampshades on the bedside lamps were covered in layers of dust. Not great for anyone who suffers from allergies etc. I am assuming that the tiled areas in the apartment were not washed prior to our visit as our feet were dirty from going barefoot in the apartment.

Review 5：Our 2 bedroom apartment for 5 people was nothing like the advertised 2 bedroom apartments... Much, much smaller. Barely room to walk between the sofa & tiny dining table, which was pushed up against the wall, meaning only 3 of the 5 of us could sit at it. (Only 4 seats anyway...) The apartment next door was huge & what we were expecting for the price paid ($455 / night including sofa bed.) The claimed 85m2 is for some 2 bedroom apartments only. Staff apologetic but didn't offer to decrease the rate.

Review 9：The room had a nice decor. There was a little self contained kitchenette that you could cook on a hot plate. Laundry was quaint and luadry products were provided.

Review 10：could do with some serving plates to be included in the crockery - garbage bags to be provided would also be helpful - no problem cleaning up but need bins etc to be able to do so - shortage of toilet paper - and the front blinds in the bedroom could be a dark shade as it is very light very early - not good for sleeping in.

Review 12：However although the location seems good it was really noisy, we had to have the balcony door shut due to the traffic noise and then the fog horns in the morning of the ships leaving the harbour. Plus you have to pay extra for parking and wifi.

Review 19：The one bedroom apartment was the size of a box .it was all in one room.we did not get a bedroom separate from the kitchen.the photos tell us we get a separate room.4 star would be max for that room

Review 26：We were seeing a concert in the Hunter Valley a much cheaper option to stay in Newcastle. The bus pretty much picks you up outside the door and drops you back home afterwards. Chifley is close to cafes, boutique shops and Queens Wharf

Review 27：The room was awesome! The beds were really comfortable and I wanted to steal the pillows, so soft! It was super clean and my friend that slept on the sofa bed said it was very comfy for a sofa bed. We will be booking again for next year but are going to go 2 nights instead of one.

Review 36：Couldn't access rooms 504 and 505 directly from street level, had to get elevator to level 1, walk down the corridor and then catch another elevator up to Level 5. A very minor point, and probably the only negative i can think of. Otherwise everything else was great.

Review 45：Management & Staff at Chifley were exceptional. Our two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms & a view was a real bonus for three adults. The apartment was very spacious & comfortable with excellent facilities which unfortunately we did not make use of them. It was well worth paying for the parking & the security of the building was another bonus. The harbour view was amazing - thank you for making our stay in Newcastle such a pleasant one.

Review 46：It was much more expensive than we thought it should have been as the apartment was quite small and only comfortable seating for two - another settee would have been good for three people, and there was no daily room service considering the price that was very poor.

Review 48：The room was unclean, the carpet had a wet patch where they had tried to clean up someone else's vomit, which left the room with a very unpleasant smell, there was chewing gum on the carpet/ skirting board, chairs were stained and every surface felt sticky. The staff response was to move us to another room, with no consideration or compensation for the fact that we spent one night trying to clean up someone else's mess and sleep in the stench because we checked in after reception hours. Will never stay here again!!

There seems to be a certain penny pinching spirit in the way Chifley does business that makes you feel less than welcome. The large signs warning you to take your garbage to the car park bins or be hit with an extra fee was something I have not encountered elsewhere.

Review 88：Our apartment had a bad smell in the kitchen area when we walked in like someone had cooked fish. Couldn't move as no other available but offered room freshened spray which didn't really help. Iron had tip broken off which made it very difficult to use. Not good enough for money paid.

Review 125：The room had not enough light, I always check photos of the rooms before I decide on the hotel. The photos were misleading. The apartment was dark and not welcoming. The bedroom had no window at all. The TV was available in the living room no TV in the bedroom.

Review 130：From the pictures I thought we'd be closer to the waterfront. There were not enough carparks for the hotel guests. We had to park in the car wash. The multi-storey car park and liftvwere so hot I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Review 131：I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the big ships come in. The apartment is sleek and modern. For some reason the bedroom with the two single beds has the ensuite and the bedroom without an ensuite has the queen size bed. Very strange.

Review 134：I was very disappointed with the apartment. Advertised were large apartments with separate lounge and kitchen. We were placed in a so called apartment with a lounge at the end of the bed, I classed the room more motel. Balcony large enough for to chairs.
