Review 1：check in is at 3 however my room want's ready until 6:30, and the front desk clerk over charged me stating that she had no idea what rate i was quoted although I gave her my confirmation number, therefore my card went into overdraft since there were two holds placed on my card.I am a hyatt gold member and I've stayed in other Hyatt Hotels in other states and I have always received exceptional service, so I know the level of service that should be given, So Disappointed.

Review 2：the fact that this hotel is located in an area that's convenient to other businesses.

Review 3：I lost my deceased mother-in-law's wedding band in our room. It fell off the counter and since I don't wear it often I didn't realize I didn't have it until about 4 hours after we checked out. We were still in town so went back and they looked and called the lady who had cleaned the room but it was not found. I'm very sad about it.

Review 5：The hot food breakfast had subpar breakfast sandwiches, looked several hours old, no tops. The oatmeal was good. A young unaccompanied child sneezed on all of the breakfast muffins. The breakfast attendant was opening and stocking from boxes and did not respond to hellos and excuse me's the first time each time. The milk and juice seemed warm.

Review 16：They put us in a room with two doubles instead of a king because 'they don't guarantee third party bookings', the staff person was rude and unhelpful, the bed in the original room was ghastly (noisy / creaky). But once I got a different person to help, they moved us to a king bed room the next day and the service was much better.

Review 18：I booked a double bed. Was given a single. Told staff downstairs I booked a double and they said they were all booked. I said I was not thrilled about paying $130 to sleep on a pullout and they just said they were sorry. Went and told my wife and decided not to stay. Only after asking for a refund they magically found me a double. Also, this room was not worth the money. I will not be staying at a Hyatt place again.

Review 28：No paper or plastic cups in the rooms. They had glass cups and I doubt they've ever been taken to the kitchen to be washed. Most maids rinse out the cups and dry them with the departing guest's towels~!!

In addition we needed 2 beds and a couch and the original room reserved in lieu of hyatt did not have 2 beds. The Homewood suits were very accommodating and were able to help us out with a room once we got over there. I travel a lot. Never ran into this in 13 years of travel. Guess it was time.

Review 34：The suite had all the amenities one would expect except for a microwave. The large HD television only provided a very small number of HD channels. The rest were simply unwatchable due to the amount of static snow. A couple of the HD channels wouldn't even show at all. One was even jumpy as if fed by a satellite in a storm. Lastly, twice during my four night stay house keeping forgot to leave towels sms washclothes in my room. One final thing... at check-in my credit card was charged the full amount of my four night stay however each night thereafter my card was charged the amount for that individual night. It was fixed in the end but the circumstance put a hold on nearly all of my available credit.

Review 35：The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette was convenient with a handy sink and fridge. The television could be conveniently controlled via my smartphone which made choosing channels far easier than surfing.

Review 36：We were put in our first room and had to be moved bc of a barking dog that was left in a room across from us. The next room was good but smelled like dog. For the price I paid I should not have to be worried about animal feces and urine along with ticks and fleas. Very surprising.

Review 38：Because I had broken my ankle just before arriving in Birmingham I was in a cast and on crutches. Everyone on the staff was so kind and helpful to me like getting my coffee just the way I like it and situating me at a table where I would be comfortable. I'll especially congratulate front desk employee, Stephanie, for going out of her way for me. When you have special needs and people go above and beyond you really appreciate it.

Review 39：Would have liked a little more selection in the breakfast offering. Would have liked better signage out by the road to help mark the entrance since it is set back off the main road. Could use more seating/tables for the breakfast area.

Review 43：The only thing worse than the smell in the lobby was the smell in the room. Also, there was only one channel on the television so I called the lobbly for help. They promised a maintenance man would fix the problem but he never showed up. I will never stay at this dump again.

Review 52：There was a power outage my first night (Obviously not the hotel's fault) but during it, there were some emergency lights in the stair case that didn't work and made it uncomfortable to walk down. Also, the key reader to let you in at the side of the buildings did not work with guest keys. If you went out the side, you'd have to walk around the front to get back in.

It was clean and smelled good also. The TV and AC worked great and the bed and pillows were very comfortable!

We arrived a few hours before check in and they found a room for us so that we could get ready for the wedding we were attending later that afternoon. After checkout, they dripped me some coffee eventhough they had already shut everything down. They were every interested and curious about how the wedding went. And gave us lots of compliments on our dresses :)

Review 116：Pet fee was excessive ($75 for a one night stay for a ten pound dog) and would not let us cancel our booking once we found out what that fee was. Also, this is very minor, but there were no vending machines. Very unhappy with our stay.
