Review 1：Our shower had hot water but the pressure was not great and the shower head was positioned quite low.

Review 2：The staff at First Villa is absolutely amazing! Bobo in particular is hilarious and will become your loving and caring island mom. She and the rest of the staff will help you plan out your stay and will take care of you from check in to check out. The pool is amazing and clean. The pool area goes right up to the ocean, and there's a ramp that takes you right into the water; there's not much of a beach, but the ocean floor is sandy and perfect for swimming. If you long for sand, you can walk in seconds to the beach next door. Our room was clean, air conditioned, and had a minibar with beers at the same price as in the restaurant. Thai food in the restaurant is excellent, breakfast was pretty good, and we didn't try the Western food because it was pricier than the Thai options. We attended the Half Moon festival, and the resort had a pre-party with free body painting (as long as you bought a few drinks), plus it was a good chance to meet some other guests prior to the party. If I am ever back on Ko Phangan, I will absolutely stay at First Villa again!!

Review 4：- clean and nice bungalows for a very decent price - Bobo is such a great host - nice pool and whole place - i booked for 2 night but ended up staying five and might come back - close enough to all the parties but quiet

Review 5：100bt to closest town 200bt to Hardrin 300bt to Maehead and charge is per person in open taxi. Koh Phangan mainly place for just relaxing at beach or parties.

Review 6：Excellent right next to beach, good restaurant, friendly helpful staff. However if you dont drive a scooter taxi charges high and not alot on the Island. Mainly parties, full moon half moon waterfall and jungle parties.

Review 8：The accommodation is brilliant. Great beach, great view, great nature. The staff was the friendliest and hardest working crew I have seen in a while. These 2 guys worked everyday from 08:00 a.m. untill 10:00 pm. Every day!! And Beau Beau is a hard working, eager to please lady, a bit crazy sometimes but that makes her unique.

Review 9：Language barrier for some of the staff, however if you told Bao Bao she would fix it immediately At check out- our room service bill was definitely wrong- we were definitely overcharged. As we had a ferry to take (and we had a long wait at reception) we didnt have time to look through the bill charges in detail so we just paid. Rooms are very dated- but it meant we didnt spend any time in the room then. Think "Mrs Bucket" style bed covers Taxis didnt like to drive down the alley to the hotel, so you get dropped off and then have to walk down the dirt road to get to the hotel. Quite scary if you are alone or just with girls. Good location though- if you walk to the main road you can get a tuck tuck bus anywhere along the island.

Review 10：Bao Bao is amazing- so friendly and helpful. She remembers everyones name and she organised an amazing NYE. We all had face/body paint, and arranged for our taxi to the full moon party Family run business, located at the end of a long alley right on the beach. Just outside the hotel the shore is very rocky, but if you really want to sunbathe on the beach you can walk along the beach.

Review 11：-BUBU! <3 The best staff with Bubu at lead. Truly the nicest and warmest person I have met. Such a treasure! -Swimming pool plus beach ! -Clean and nicely furnished rooms -Great and cheap food at First Villa Restaurant! Lovely place to chill out and a base for nightly partying!

Review 12：Location's not good. Had to walk a muddy road to get to. Also the staffs not around from 10PM to morning. We couldn't check out since we were leaving early morning and were back late the day before. But we remembered we still had meal we didn't pay for. So we left 500b meal money plus 100b tip in our rooms, locked the keys inside and left. In the end I still got 500b charged from my credit card. I called and Bobo told me nobody saw the money we left. Well, guess we could only blame ourselves. But the unpleasant experience and the dishonesty of the staff who took our money made sure that I won't stay there again.

Review 13：Staffs were friendly at the begginning

Review 14：We stayed in the garden building and the room was very basic and could do with a good clean and update on the decor. The toilet was a problem and we had to ask for it to be fixed several times as it wouldnt flush and staff were not to happy to keep sorting it out. Would probably be worth staying in the pool front bungalows instead.

Review 15：The best thing about this place is the pool on the 'beach'. Although the beach is non existent the views over the water are lovely. Wifi is free and works fine for checking day to day online. Restaurant serves great Thai food, although the western food wasnt great.

Review 16：Can not swim - sea is not deep. Bad dark road to the main road. Very far from night life. Very basic room, though clean.

Review 20：On first villa you Will Get the kind of service that you would expect on a 5 star hotel. The staff will do anything for you to make sure you get the best and most out of your stay. And they don't expect anything in return but a smile. So please give them tip because they deserve it more than anyone.

Review 21：Our room was tiny compared with others on the resort. As it was full moon time on the island the bigger rooms were taken up. We managed just with a 3 year old son in tow but I'm sure it was not near the size advertised. This room would be better allocated to syaff rather than paying customers. The girl who received us was very friendly but on a few occasions I went down to reception and non one was about. When we checked out I couldn't find anyone to give my key to so I ended up leaving it behind the reception .

Review 22：Location was very good but unfortunately the weather for the first couple of days was bad so we could not use the pool . We ate twice and the food was very nice.

Review 23：This resort is a family style budget resort but has an excellent menu and the staff are truely sincerly friendly.They are welcoming and treat you like family.The prices are reasonable and compared to others in the area its value for money for sure.This place is a good location if you want to walk to Thongsala and 7 eleven pharmacy etc are close by.Other food places are also close if you want to pig out across the road at the moo ka taa (Thai bbq) for only 189 baht each all you can eat you can.The air conditioned bungalows are comfortable and bed was firm.The staff change your bed everyday and there is a safe if you wish to place your valuables etc.Really great little resort oh and the pool is awesome.Cheers Dale and Vee !

Review 28：This place is excellent value for money, the sunset views by the pool/sea were absolutely stunning. The staff were lovely, always willing to help and made you feel at home. The food was good, rooms were clean and basic, with strong air con and powerful showers. Only a 5 minute walking distance to the main strip of restaurants, bars, shops etc. Based right on the beach with beautifully calm, clear waters! What more could you want!!! Beaubo and Bebby are amazing (staff), would highly recommend!!!

Review 30：The resort is fine, has a good location, a nice pool area and everything is well kept. The value for money is very good. What makes this place so special is the staff. Everybody is more than friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so good and one just doesnt want to leave. My highest recommendation.

Review 31：The room had cockroach, there was dirty finger prints on all the walls.....looks sketchy..... The beach is littered in plastic bags I cleaned them up but, there was still more. It would be nice if the place picked up trash on beach it would show they care not just about party tourists. I like rustic and didn't mind the gecko in my room:)! But I would suggest caring about the environment as a lot of guest would appreciate this.

Review 33：The beds were hard and the pool area was the only maintained area out of the whole hotel. The driveway was terribly bumpy with massive potholes. We also would advise anyone who wanted to book through the hotel not to. We rented one of their motorbikes for 200 baht (cheaper ones in town) and it broke down in the middle of nowhere. We had to taxi home - an extra 200 baht to which they did not handle the situation as well as we would have hoped. They reimbursed us 100 baht which was better then nothing but we had hoped to have the motorbike all day and night so we could explore. They would not give us another bike so we were stuck at the hotel with literally nothing to do because of the hotels location. It was extremely disappointing. We also booked through the hotel to get us from the island to Phuket and it was the biggest money scam I had ever experienced. We had to get on and off five different buses, had to stop for two hours at a shady place where we then had to pay extra to get where we had already paid to go. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating.

Review 34：The pool was the one redeeming feature. The manager Bo Bo was lovely and went out of her way to help.

Review 35：There is no "sand-beach" like other beaches. but its not a big problem. Rooms needs a little update, bathroom needs it quickly. Hotel is 8 minutes from the ferry.

Review 37：Me and my friend come here for Blackmoon party and we chose the right resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I cannot forget the lady from reception, she was so kind and awesome. The room was good and we had a nice sleep. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to everybody.

Review 46：- The additionals purchased at the hotel seemed overpriced (motorbike for example, especially when there is a motorbike rental place at the end of the road which is nearly half price). - hotel is located at the end of a long and dark dirt track, not recommended to walk - food is not the best quality when compared to restaurants in the same price bracket locally

Half way between the full moon beach and the main town with nice night market. - right next to a beach (nice but no where near the nicest on the island, also it is not good for snorkelling as there is no reef and it remains extremely shallow even if you swim out to sea for 10 minutes) - wifi throughout resort

Only a 10minute walk to shopping, a Thai foodmarket and bar restaurants. Beautiful and super clean pool! Lovely foodfor both breakfast and lunch. Mini bar stocked with drinks that are noteven a higher price! Such great value! Beau-being was able to organise aquick taxi to Head Rin beach which only took 10minutes to be right inthe heart of the full moon party area, but the hotel is in a nicer morequiet area. Treated like friends! I really hope my wife Louise and I canvisit again one day!

Review 78：The resort is lovely and really well maintained. The staff are so amazing. Nothing is a problem, they're fun and super friendly. The beach is breathtaking to look at but not swimming as is very shallow. (There is a sand bar about 15mins walk down the beach which is great!!) The pool is big and clean and there is loads of space to relax and soak in the sun and views. We stayed 6 days at the end of a 3 month trip and it was the most welcoming, relaxing and chilled resort. And the food... Amazing!! :) Will definitely stay again - although in a bigger bungalow by the pool next time!

Review 79：There isn't much around the hotel, it's a 10 minute walk really to the main road from the reception which isn't fun in the dark and no pavements once on the main road! Main road has a couple of restaurants dotted about, a supermarket and a 7-11 petrol station.

Review 80：The hotel was lovely and the manager Beau Beau was really helpful - didn't see her much but it was good to know that she was there if we needed her! At the full moon she has all backpackers at the hotel pre-drinking in the hotel restaurant and she will paint you for the full moon! Pool area is gorgeous and right on the beach, very quiet which I imagine would be perfect for curing a hangover after full moon (we arrived on the last day of the full moon but everyone had moved on by then!) You can rent scooters on site too, from Beau Beau's cousin, so it's all a very well run family owned resort. It is only 10 mins drive from Haad Rin which is where full moon is. Also a lovely beach during the day with loads of places to eat and drink. Harbour is also around 10 mins away in the opposite direction where there are bars and shops too, and a street market is held there every Saturday. Both cost about 200 baht to get there (100 per person so don't let drivers rip you off!)

Review 81：We arrived at 6 in the morning after travelling on a night boat and expected a long wait to check in, however after a short wait a lovely lady checked us in despite being extremely early. The pool, beach and location were spot on and the food was even better. However the jewel in this crown is bo-beux who is the friendliest, happiest and most helpful person we came across and are likely to ever meet on our travels; brilliant humour and couldn't possibly be a better host!

The bungalow room was ideal so comfortable and a great place to relax at the end of each day. Bobo and her staff are excellent they cater for all guests requirements. It's a great place to stay for the full moon party to with everyone pre-drinking before hand with free face painting etc. The food from the restaurant is sooo tasty to and reasonably priced!! You won't be disappointed if you stay at first villa!

Review 92：The manager beau beau she was so friendly and made us feel at home ! She also painted my boyfriend and I for the half moon party ! She was really good at that too ! We had the old house room which was a little hut ! Not the best room but it didn't matter because the manager made us laugh every Time we spoke to her !

Review 96：The bed was a bit hard, and there could do with being a few more comfy sunbeds around the pool.

Review 97：Bobau and the rest of the staff did an incredible job of making us feel welcome as soon as we arrived! Never have we felt so relaxed in any hotel, they remebered our names and were always smiling. The location was great, right on the beach over looking beautiful sea! About 10 minute walk to a couple of shops a big supermarket and restaurants, although there's also directly on the beach. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious, the breakfast was good, the Thai food the western food everything! Hotel has a lovely pool that looks onto the beach to chill around and some comfy sunbeds. The room was big and spacious with TV safe and a fridge. It was perfect for the full moon as you can buy buckets and Bobau does amazing face paint on everyone and it's really social. She also organises taxis for everyone when you want to go for 100 baht each. It's about a 20 minute journey. I couldn't recommend this place more, we are so glad we stayed! If I ever go to the full moon again I would stay here!!

Review 98：Really far away from everything so you have to eat at the restaurant. But its expensive. I had flies in my soup but they didnt do anything about it. The aircon didnt work so they replaced our room with a different one but then ahe canceled our booking so we would try the first night and decide if want to continue our stay. Of course when we came to pay her for the room the same evening she already booked our room to someone else! So we didnt have a choice but leave the next day. They didnt even try and help us to find a differnt place to stay, they just told us to leave.

Review 100：After 3 days they changed the bed sheet... And in the night i funded arround 100 bed- bugs .... They did bith me all over my body !!!!! I went to the doctor and he gived me some medicine ....,,,,..than i went to the Reception and they did not say anytime a simple word... " i m sorry"....

Review 103：Basically anything. Even though the beach isnt too good where the hotel is located at, the pool makes it all up for. There even is a small whirlpool. The restaurant is great and especially the Thai-food is so so good. And then theres Bobo, one of the loveliest people me and my girlfriend met on out tour through Thailand. She's working at the reception and just soooo helpful and nice. If theres anything you need to know or help with, ask her (speaks fluent english). Basically organized us a full day scooter trip around Koh Phangan with all the must-see's included.

Review 104：Beach is gravelly and sea shallow, so thankful for the pool. A bit out of the way though taxis are readily available. We're tight so walked to town and it's a bit of a trek. P.S.Don't try and walk back up the beach.

Review 105：Lovely pool that overlooks the beach, can watch the sunset from. Staff were friendly, good humoured and seemed to really enjoy what they do, which is a rarity. Good food in the restaurant, ate breakfast and dinner there. A lovely little retreat.

Review 106：The bungalows have no sound insulation at all! One can hear every whisper from the neighbor bungalow or the garden! The stuff with the exception of the receptionist is very inefficient and nosy!

Review 107：The receptionist Bobo is an extremely helpful and efficient person! Complaining about the noise made by a guest who was chatting in the garden from 04:20 to 05:30 not letting anyone sleep, she offered me to leave the hotel if I so wished without being charged for the rest of my booked time! Very generous!

Review 111：Booked one night to see if hotel was good before booking a full week, but unfortunately they were not about to accommodate us for more than 1 night in the same room, so had to leave. No hot water. Even when we changed hotel,we came to eat here for 1-2 meals per day but they would not give us access to their pool. Wi-fi was not very good. Our room was small. Asked for a double bed but got 2 single beds pushed together, nevertheless beds were comfy. If you are afraid of insects and geckos this might not be the right place for you. Beach is ok, nothing special compared to northern beaches. (swallow and not very clean). Long walk from main street to hotel.

Review 112：Nice pool, restaurant has good food at good prices, right on the beach, nice staff.

Review 113：the stuff/managment was not able or willing to "convince" some guests to tune down their privat stereo at night (2-4 AM) on the pool, right in front of the room. So, sleeping, forget it! Even during the day, whe neverybody was there they were "extremly" relaxed. or did not care.

Review 115：Paying up front and then not getting a refund when our travel plans changed and we had to leave early NO wifi in the room or hot water until we SERIOUSLY complained (we had asked/inquired nicely twice before) Restaurant had very slow service, it might have been a girl thing (we were 2 women) and no matter when we sat everyone around (families and large groups of guys) because we were starving and were served before us, we often left went to the restaurants at other hotels down the beach The whole experience was very meh and kind of a pain the ass, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends or family unless they were desperate...which we were, it was NYE and every other place was booked

Review 118：I got a real welcome feeling when I arrived. The people working there were really nice. I had different experiences during my trip in Thailand. The host was great, funny, and took good care of us. The place it self is amazing, really beautifull with good facilities.

Review 120：The pool area & view from the pool was beautiful, I could quite happily spend days looking on to that sea and coastline! Bobo (the main lady on reception) was the loveliest and most bubbly woman I've met, I would go back just to see her again she couldn't be happier to help in any way possible. As a solo traveller she even put me in touch with others staying there and set up a pre black moon party for us to meet new people & so we could go together as a group. I'd recommend here for families, couples or party goers as it's not in the middle of everything but easy enough to get to everything that you could want in your stay.

Review 125：Room Smelled terribly, Bed was hard as a rock, Shower so weak only droped water, Courtains are transparent so from 6 am you are sleeping on the surface of the Sun. Reception closet around 11 pm even though it was fully booked and Full Moon Festival and guests would need informations, food and taxi to go to the festival

Review 127：We stayed first in a bungalow with a stunning sea view and after that a hotelroom with a pool and sea view balcony. Both rooms were great but would recommend the bungalows. The hotel is located on the baan tai beach, a few minutes walk to the village. Also walking distance to the main port. Close taxi drive from all parties. The hotel staff were really great, helpful and so funny. Arranged preparties every night and recommended the best party for the night, helped with body paint etc. I recommend this hotel especially for young travellers that want to meet other people and have a social stay in Koh phangan. Restaurant served great food, both western and thai.

Review 129：What stands out most for this hotel is the staff. Everybody from Beaubo to the two waiter guys are genuinely friendly and enhance your stay there. In other places you sometimes get the feeling it's all about the money but here it's all so genuine. Great facilities at the beach and good food in restaurant too with amazing sunsets.
