Review 1：With the door closed there was over an inch of open space between the side of the door (room 210) and the frame. Couldn't have been an easier door to unlock without a key. The sheets were very stained but appeared clean otherwise. Ice machine is broken. Remote needed batteries. Some lamps needed bulbs. The previous room we were assigned had a toilet that didn't flush. No cups for water/ coffee or shampoo for the shower but I don't know if I should have expected those items to be there or not.

Review 2：Convenient and affordable. It was what I expected it to be.

Review 3：The first thing I noticed when we walked into the room was a loud noise coming from the bathroom. The toilet constantly made a terribly annoying sound that really drove us insane. We eventually learned that the toilet didn't flush so we turned the knob on the wall to turn it off and tried to go use the restroom inside the lobby. Unfortunately, the lobby was closed at this point and they didn't let us come in to even explain why we needed inside. Luckily there was a gas station nearby. The carpet looked and felt like it hadn't been cleaned since the place opened. It was so sticky that we kept our shoes on the entire time. We felt so uncomfortable being in our room that we didn't even sleep under the covers. We covered up with the clothes that we brought, and we were lucky that the heat worked. I'm not one to complain, but I wish that I could have read a review similar to mine before we booked this place. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for.

Review 6：Toliet stopped up and called maintenance that morning came back still not fixed. Only gave two towels for 4 people had to go to office to get more they would not bring to the rm. Rm was outdated.

Review 8：Roach infested, nasty old carpeting. Ceiling leak marks, gaping hole where shower faucet was supposed to be. Dated, u comfortable beds. Is was a dump, would have moved to another hotel had the city not been booked for hair show.

Review 12：The first room I got the toilet did not work, the light bulbs were out, and the remote was not programmed, that was room number 200. When I went downstairs to complain the employee, was on his personal cell phone laughing and talking and took all of 15 plus minutes to even address me, literally. Then he was very hesitant to change our room. When he did change it to room number 210. Then they charged my card twice and refused to fix the mistake! I had to call my bank fraud dept

Review 17：Toilet didn't work well. Had to leave top off back and mess with it between flushes. Bathroom felt dirty. Room had musty smell. Felt like a cheap hotel, but just needed a place to sleep for the night. Breakfast was very disappointing.

Review 21：The facilities were horrible, nothing worked properly. From the tv, which kept going off and on, and when on it had a green hue; to the free wifi, which never stayed up. Being that I was there on business that was a real imposition. I also wanted to know the policy refunds. This was horrible.

Review 22：Everything else. As a matter of fact, i was planning on requesting my money back, because the free wifi never worked properly. And being that I was there for work that was a real imposition. Not only that, the power went down throughout the hotel just when i was finishing up my presentation, and I didn't have time to properly save anything.

Review 24：Attitude of staff. We had a problem with the our sheets smelling back. We had to wait like 4 hours for the staff to decided if we should get new sheets. The evening desk staff lied about the staff working and told us she would have to wait and speak to her manager and that was at 8pm. We finally got clean linen at midnight by another staff member after I had exchanged words with the night desk person.

Review 25：I loved the location. Convenient to stores and restaurants without too much traffic.

Review 26：We only had bath towels in our room. No wash cloths or hand towels. Sadly we didn't notice until late in the evening or we would have gone to the office to request some. And the part I dislike the most is trying to get out of the parking lot into traffic to turn toward the interstate entry ramp heading north.

Review 31：The Oxmor Road location is relatively convenient for Birmingham. Of its 200 rooms, only 75 are currently in use. The lobby and breakfast room area were clean. Our TV had to be swapped out, but the attendant took care of it for us promptly.

Review 33：Being able to relax and be comfortable. It was a very nice hotel to stay in. We enjoyed the breakfast, the comfortable bed, the clean room and the very nice staff members.

Review 34：The paint was peeling off the wall. The smoke detector did not work. The bed was uncomfortable. We call over 6 times in reference to the Wi-Fi and it never worked. I needed to get on live to review class work and I was never able to log on! I kept calling and they stated they were resetting but it NEVER WORK.

Review 42：Rude night employee. Blamed her bad attitude on being pregnant. Right as I came in the door she started spouting off prices and deposits, no hello, no good morning and no welcome. It was clear from the start, she did not want my business. Told her I booked with app. She said she had no reservations. I was told "Your app is wrong. " Told her I called to try and confirm appointment. She laughed at me and said "No you didn't. I've been here all night and the phone hasn't rung."

Building itself looks unsafe, Bricks have damage to them, cracking and stone work was broken.. Need more garbage cans in room. That small one just is not enough. We had no toilet paper or wash cloth had to call the front desk and Never got them. I had to personally go to the laundry room to get the stuff I needed.. Never got them from staff.... appearance is everything so start with the OUTSIDE..

We had a meeting to get to so we called the front desk and after20 minutes still no one showed up to fix the light on the restroom. Wehad to use light from either leaving the door open or cell phone to seewhile showering. The staff showed up after 2 phone calls and my mothergetting into the shower because we were rushed for time. The guy showsup and says he couldn't fix the water anyway. We ask if we could geta discount because of the inconvenience but was told no as the managerwould have to so that and of course there was no manager in duty but hewas able to give us a discount on our next stay!!! Very disappointing ifyou can discount the next stay you can do the same discount the sameday! Needless to say, I will never choose this location again.
