Reviews for Fajardo Inn

Review 1:Hotel staff was adamant we could not check in earlier than 3-4pm. I've been able to check in earlier at all other hotels when arriving on an early flight, but was disappointing that Fajardo Inn would not let us into the room.

Review 2:Beautiful views from the hotel and lovely pool and rec area. Room was clean and had everything you needed.

Review 3:bar was not open (we had to wait the opening of the restaurant to have a beer) position and the fact the building is not easy to access if someone has walking issue

Review 4:Staff is lovely

Review 5:Rude lady at the reception during check in time. Did not seem willing to assist customers. Hotel had a lot of services but they were all closed. Only thing open was the blue iguana restaurant which was quite dull.

Review 6:Nice pool area and close to the ferry dock

Review 7:This hotel is totally over priced. The smell of damp in the room was awfull. Without a car the area does not have much to offer unless heading to the close by islands. Hotel services are poor and over priced. Room was clean and luckily we stayed for 2 nights only.

Review 8:Nice, big pool area.

Review 9:Some of the staff were not helpful and made you feel like you were a bother. For the price I pay, I would not stay there again n would not recoomend it to anyone.

Review 10:There were no towels and no coffee packs in room when I arrived. Had to ask for it. I thought there was no hot water so I took a very cold shower. When I asked for help, the employee came up and showed me how to “play” with the shower control so I could "find" hot water. When my wife and I got to the room, there was a maid that looked like she just jumped out of the bed when she heard the door open.

Review 11:Corteous staff. Good food at restaurant.

Review 12:Expensive room rate for a suite that looked nothing like the pictures. Dirty pool. Food at Starfish was not impressiv. Pooltable was really old and ruined.

Review 13:Close to the ferry terminal

Review 14:My first night I was bitten repeatedly while attempting to sleep. I called front desk and worker did nothing to assist and never documented call. In the morning I reported and show pics of what app eared to be bed bugs. My room was changed bug nothing was done to compensate for time and discomfort even after calling establishment once I got back home.

Review 15:The pool areas are beautiful and one individual who attempted to help me with situation with bed bugs, or they called them mosquitoes.

Review 16:our first night was very noisy, there was some party going on in the next room with lots of shouting and door banging till 3am. complained to the front desk and they were apologetic, and promised to send security to check but the noise did not stop till quite some time later. a lot of mosquitoes on the property (more than other places). wireless internet only available in common areas so try to get a room near the stairs. room was not cleaned very well.

Review 17:close to the ferry terminal

Review 18:Had to pay for everything that is complementary and inclusive at other hotels: for rxample, ice and coffee. We had no fridge, no microwave, had an iron with no ironing board, and had to pay to go work out in the gym. Asked for a wake up call because I had to get to the ferry on time and they did not do it. Luckily i woke up on time. When we got to the room itself, there was a big hole in the bedspread and the room was musty from the air-conditioning being off. When showering had to let water run for a while for it to get warmed up.

Review 19:The vegetation and the hotel were pretty.the waitress at the Mexican food place was welcoming and friendly in contrast to the front desk staff.

Review 20:The vending machine constantly ran out of stock. You have to wait until 4pm to check in.

Review 21:Some of the staff were really caring and helpful. It has a pool.

Review 22:I couldn't find anything.

Review 23:We were close to Vieques Island. There were 2 restaurants on site, and they deliver to your room. Which helped when we would wake up 20 min before breakfast was over.

Review 24:Front gate was inexplicably locked in the evening and you were directed around the back way which did not add to security. There was an unnecessary charge of 25 cents for ice. There was a coffee machine but no coffee provided. I had to ask for bathroom towels. The location was neither town nor beach so you needed a car to do anything.

Review 25:Spacious room, 2 swimming pools, secure parking. A nice complex though a bit out of the way.

Review 26:Were not very helpful with car parking reccomendation for Fajardo ferry. No Complemenatry breakfast.

Review 27:Were available to checkin at 2am. Clean & decent size room. Less than 5 mins drive to ferry terminal. Free parking.

Review 28:Front office help. Jackie interrupted our face to face conversation four times to answer phone even though others were available in the back office. Aisha(sp?) promised several times all week to reserve a BioBay tour but never did. Another young lady was happy to let us walk up and down the hill to get keys when door lock malfunctioned. No apology for the inconvenience and no eye contact when speaking to us.

Review 29:Beautiful layout. Potential to be top notch resort if rooms were better furnished, Star Fish restaurant was open, etc. Housekeeping and servers were very friendly and attentive.

Review 30:Bed did not have a quilt only a thin sheet we were dying of cold in the night.

Review 31:Room was big and has refrigerator. Restaurant is nice and not expensive. Pool is huge, great for kids. Hotel has mini golf also.

Review 32:When we entered the room, the room was smelling. We had to call somebody to clean it and he mopped the floor right way. After that room was not smelling. There location is very bad there is nothing to eat or see in neighboring. You have to pay for a bucket of ice. Even the sachet of coffee in the room has price, it's not free.We had to rely on restaurants inside the inn only. Otherwise it's fair enough.

Review 33:It's a huge inn. There are swimming pool which was relaxing after a tiring return from a day trip. And putt putt was fun and cheap just $2 per game.

Review 34:No face or hand towels were provided. Only two towels, one per person. Had to use bath mat as wash cloth? Although there is a coffee pot no coffee was provided to guests. Only available if "paid for" should be available to guests as courtesy. It doesn't cost much to provide this. Although, nice location it was not easy to find.

Review 35:Clean, comfortable. Liked pool area. Restaurant on premises.

Review 36:No pool bar service most likely due to off season

Review 37:Perfect place for a family with young kids who need a little rest after a day of sightseeing The staff was amazing and very friendly.

Review 38:Coffee maker in the room did not work.

Review 39:Swimming pool. Ability to walk to the Fajardo dock to the ferry. Blue Iguana restaurant was great. Seemed safe on your property. Lots of free parking - very nice.

Review 40:Pool had slime on walls above water line, seems to have been there for some time since there were names and all types of writing on walls. Wish the unit had small frig and/or maybe free ice.

Review 41:Price and location.

Review 42:The Puerto Rican restaurant onsite was the worst Puerto Rican food we had in our whole week on the island, terrible mufungo. Also, no blanket for the bed, just a top sheet.

Review 43:Beautiful hotel, with resort style amenities, without the resort look. Beautiful landscaping, the Mexican restaurant onsite was delicious, two very nice pools, mini golf. We were on our honeymoon and found that the two pools tended to be a natural separator of children and families with children, vs no children at the other pool.

Review 44:Charge for a bucket of ice. Three mosquitos in the bathroom, more in the hallway. This upon entry. No small refrige, no small microwave, pay a deposit for pool towels, and a bigger deposit for the putt putt clubs. The tv resolution was very very poor. No coffee pot with complimentary packets. All the above is provided at top quality in the usa. Not in pr.

Review 45:The big pool

Review 47:The rental equipment (tennis raquet, tennis balls, and basketball) was in very poor condition. The hotel can and should regularly replace the sports equipment. This is expected of a 5 star hotel.

Review 48:The facilities of Coco's Park was nice. Our group had a good time in the pools, putt putt, and tennis courts. Very convenient to have restaurants on the premises.

Review 49:I didnt love going to sit in the lobby for the WiFi, there were lots of connections in various places

Review 50:I loved the cleanliness and room. Very nice for the price. Great places for the kids. Shallow pool.Staff was nice

Review 51:This place is very very nice!! If you plan to go to Culebra island, this is close to airport or ferry. Staff are so nice, facilities ate very clean. Perfect vacation in here!!!

Review 52:I have never given a hotel a negative review before, so keep that in mind. I will never consider staying here again, that's how bad it was. Filthy room due to understaffing. Smoke detectors beeping all night. Front Desk staff so rude that it was hard to believe. Wifi signal from nearby hotel was usable, but not Fajardo Inn's. No staff at swim-up bar. I had to shut off the water to toilet to keep it from running all night.

Review 53:The Pool was very nice, but missing bartender the entire week. Jodi and Jose in the restaurant were very nice. Within walking distance of ferry to Culebra.

Review 54:No options to see balconys

Review 55:I really appreciated how clean everything was and friendly the staff was as well, also in a beautiful and convienet location.

Review 56:Wifi didn't work while I was there.

Review 57:I was pleasantly surprised. Amenities were very simple but the rooms were clean and everything was comfortable. It was also by far the cheapest hotel I found for the night. It did come out a lot cheaper through a 3rd party website.

Review 58:Not close to beaches, city setting.

Review 59:Clean, friendly staff. Great restaurants and the pools were lovely. Great for a short stay the night before the ferry.

Review 60:All was good including their Iguana restaurant with billiards.

Review 61:I was making a bike round tour around the island with a friend coach, they treated us very well and gave us a room before the expected check in. I appreciated it, I was very tire after a 60 mile riding.

Review 62:Everything costs extra- ice machine, coffee, mini golf. They charged us $15 for van to ferry, which is a mile away. Had to walk uphill on a road to get to office from our room. A stair is needed.

Review 63:Very clean and quiet

Review 64:No internet access in the rooms.

Review 65:We had a large, clean room with a very comfortable bed. The housekeeping staff is very friendly but you will have more success if you speak Spanish. If you don't the front desk can take care of all your needs. This sprawling resort is well kept and the pool areas are very nice. The food is also very good here.

Review 66:If you are traveling with small children, stay at Fajardo Inn. They have a large pool with a water slide, putt putt, birdcages, a playground and the kids will have fun chasing the small brown lizards in the yard. You are 5 mins from Seven Seas beach at Las Croabas and 5 mind from a waterfall swim at El Yunque. The staff at Fajardo Inn are very helpful. We loved the area.

Review 67:The beds need to be updated. Mattresses old and worn. The bathroom furnishings were dated but serviceable. Bad elevator.

Review 68:Location, cost and room size. The main building which we were had tall spacious hall ways.

Review 69:only bad thing was the COLD shower at 5 am.

Review 70:staff nice, helpful, hotel was clean and beautiful location, we got in late and they kept the kitchen open for us to grab a bite

Review 71:I don't like that you have to pay for every little thing. I'vemachine is $.25 (make sure you hold the button down otherwise it spitsyou out 10 cubes). You have to pay for in-room coffee, breakfast, andthe medicine despencer is $1 for 1 pill. Quite ridiculous. I'vestayed at cheap hotels and had more amenities. I had a bad experiencewith a waiter at the Starfish resturant. We came an hour before closingand he made it very clear that he was trying to leave early, which madeus feel unwelcome, but I understand that could happen anywhere. The house-keeping staff hardly spoke English, and almost every time they came by,we were in our room so we never got service. The hotel is also kind ofweird about their designated pool towels. You have to return them at thefront desk each time you want them replaced, and will charge a fee ifyou do not return them. Again, understandable, but odd.BEWARE, Fajardo is a windy town. They have a lot of outside cafés around town and off the water, but it's hard to keep the plate on the table. Also, do not stay in fajardo if you are expecting beaches. Fajardo is a marina town and there are no good spots to lay down a towel and soak up the sun. So be cautious! The neighborhood that the Fajardo Inn is located in is kind of unsettling. We wanted to walk to a store to buy beer, and two staff members told us that us two young girls shouldn't walk because of the danger. Not sure what would happen. We tried to walk before the sun went down, but we were too unweary to continue to look for the store. Other than those key issues, it was a very nice facility.

Review 72:Fajardo Inn was a nice place. It is a beautiful building with anincredible pool. Although I never got the chance to swim because I wastoo busy sight-seeing during my 6 day stay, I did walk down to the poolone night and it was one of the nicest pools I have seen. There'sbeautiful landscape and a swim-up bar. The staff here is extremelyfriendly and helpful. I didn't rent a car during my stay, but thehotel never failed for transportation. It was convienent for the hotelto have resturants on site. The food tasted and was priced decently.

Review 73:Had to pay for Ice, the room smelled like mildew, no extra blankets, you have to use the bed spread which had a foul odor. No ironing board, No Blow dyer. Not worth the money we paid. Pictures on the internet are very deceiving, I would not stay here again.

Review 74:Pool area was nice, but overall the hotel is dated. I personally would never stay here again.

Review 75:Nothing is walkable so you need a car or to be willing to take taxis.

Review 76:Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful, we were able to book all trips directly from the hotel. Facilities were really nice, especially the pools and the seaview terrace. Very relaxed and friendly resort, great for the price.

Review 77:Don't eat at the restaurants hotel. Puerto Rico is a drive-through buffer, so try out any of the amazing restaurants nearby (Las Vistas del Mar, La Estacion)

Review 78:Whether your on your way to Culebra, or enjoying a Bio-Bay Tour, you should probably consider this place.

Review 79:The room did not have a hair dryer, fridge or microwave (something most US hotels always provide). I didn't like paying 25 cents for a bucket of ice. I didn't like paying a dollar for one coffee pack for the room. Some of the treadmills in the fitness center need to be fixed or replaced. The weight lifting portion had great equipment though. By adding some finishing touches, this could be a real resort and compete with anyone else.

Review 80:The Blue Iguana and Starfish restaurants were excellent. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. The staff (and Puerto Rican people in general) were very friendly. Driving Puerto Rico was pretty much like driving in the US. The fitness center and pools were very good. Loved the parrots by the lower pool.

Review 81:The two restaurants in the hotel were very disappointing. The humidity in the room was so smelly that we had to turn on the old and noisy air conditioning to dry the floor, The staff were not helpful with the excursions. They just said that the tour we wanted was not taking place on mondays. Old fashioned furniture and bed covers. 400 dollars for 2 nights was abusive!!

Review 82:The pools were really nice.

Review 83:The girls at the front desk were amazingly good at what they do. Jackie was so accommodating to one special need and got us a different room in seconds. Two excellent restaurants with happy staffs.

Review 84:No food places within walking distance, no hair dryer in the rooms (stayed in the larger room that slept 4 and also the king suite) the tile floors seemed to be cleaned with something that made the floors a little slippery (maybe murphys oil or something equal), the king suite did not have a comforter (only bed sheets) which got a little cold during the night( I prefer the a/c cold when I sleep). The pools were only open until 8pm and there was not a pool bar open when we stayed. I thought it was a bit pricey for what is was / the location.

Review 85:For the most part tha hotel was clean and seemed recently updated. It was right around the corner from the marina that we planned for our fishing charter

Review 86:No hot tub, about 10-15 minutes from the beach.

Review 87:The pool was pretty the view is awesome if your on higher level floor. The food on the grounds was good

Review 88:The queensize bed we had, was too soft and a little to narrow. The breakfast is good, but the staff is slow and not very smiling - be sure to have time enough when you go for breakfast

Review 89:The hotel has a lot of facilities and is nice, clean and quiet. We felt welcome in the reception, the room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The prices are good both for the room and in the restaurants. Especially the Mexican restaurant in the groundfloor had great meals and friendly staff.

Review 90:They are very disorganized especially with housekeeping, did not even replace towels and had to call 6 times to get two towels and got them after 2 hours. And since i had to call many times, they even questioned me why i need extra towels.

Review 91:Pool and lounge area in need of care. Room was not as close to the beach as we wanted (main facility was being renovated, so they "upgraded" us to a suite located on the main road). Breakfast was minimal, expect to pay if you want anything other than bagels, toast, juice, and oranges.

Review 92:The room was newly renovated and clean. All appliances were in good, working condition and toiletries acceptable. Definitely a place for those who like a cheap hotel.

Review 93:No complimentary coffee, out dated gross vending machine coffee. pool towels $25 charge if lost they were cheap and rough.check in rude staff - rude staff @ gym.sick of mexican food! Offer puerto Rican choices at the blue iguana.

Review 94:Pool waitress and waiters nice.

Review 95:This property advertised the restaurant and bar to be open til 12pm. Good luck finding anything available after 10. After a long day of travel a total let down! Staff could care less, we stayed at less resort type lodging during our trip and had much better service and kind accommodating personnel than this place! Thumbs down

Review 96:Parking was awkward. Lack of signs made it hard to locate. Offered nothing for free-not coffee, not a cookie, not even ice

Review 97:Pools were great. Staff was nice.

Review 98:Coffe maker I. Room but had to go to desk for coffee. Costs $1... Just put in room? And these days we should expect wifi...I'm not a fan of being on it while vacationing but it is truly part of most people's connection to home and work.

Review 99:Staff was great!

Review 100:Wifi wasn't available in the room.

Review 101:The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The pools were great. Friendly staff and very accessible.

Review 102:Nothing

Review 103:1. Arrival was done with ease, professionalism and experience 2. Restaurants were clean well staffed and food was above good 3. Room was really spacious and seemed to be new....HOT water when needed 4. Pool was beautiful and it had good shading around it Over all A + + +

Review 104:It was heartbreaking to arrive to the hotel and see in the lobby area a big bird caged into a tiny cage. There were also birds in cages at the pool area. The birds deserve a better new home in a more natural environment.

Review 105:Lots of services at the hotel area and a short drive to the beach, biobay / nature reserve and ferry terminals. Wi-fi "tropicaloasis" disconnected and reconnected every few minutes, but it's fixed now as I corrected the settings from the hotspot router :)

Review 106:Food at the restaurant was fair. Front desk assured me that they would reserve a snorkeling tour, but never passed the information along to those responsible for making the arrangements, and when I followed up with them no tours were available. The front staff, not sufficiently knowledgeable about local activities. No wi-fi in rooms. Lobby area (where wifi was available) was open to outside and therefore mosquito ridden.

Review 107:Convenience to beach activities and to El Yunque. The swimming pools. Size of rooms. Lots of hot water. Reasonable room rates.

Review 108:Our room had an unpleasant mildew smell to it. The water in the shower took a long time to warm or didn't warm at all. We were disappointed the jacuzzi in the pool area was not working during our visit.

Review 109:The resort had very pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The pools were excellent and the grounds well maintained.

Review 110:Nothing worth complaining about! Expect to relax. Wifi was weak /slow from our room, but that forced us to get "off the grid" and kick start our relaxed vaca. Ciao

Review 111:The location was great, easy to find and close to the ferry dock. It was very quiet at the resort the night we stayed- we has the pool to ourselves! The lower pool could use some updates- I preferred the smaller pool near the main entrance.

Review 112:It wasn't terrible. Everything was ok, but relative to all the other places we stayed in Puerto Rico this was the worst. There were no cockroaches or anything horrible like others reported. When we arrived, after check-in time, our room wasn't ready. So we were switched to an inferior room with no view, even though we could see the hotel was 99% empty. It made no sense. We were happy to leave after 2 nights.

Review 113:This place is good if you want to do a day trip to one of the islands.

Review 114:The room smelled a little musty. The air conditioner kept us nice and cool but the light shining in the drapes the next morning was a true bummer.

Review 115:We were close to the ferry, close to Mosquito Bay, had a gorgeous pool with mini golf, playground, basketball courts, gym. Another smaller pool. They had two pool tables in one restaurant. Great service for breakfast and food was good too!

Review 116:Finding it was tricky, Fajardo signposting is not great.

Review 117:We had the pool to ourselves all afternoon. The place was spotless. The room was a generous size. We went to the nighttime kayak in Bio Bay.

Review 118:The showers were, like many of the hotels we stayed at in Puerto Rico, not up to American standards in terms of water pressure, flow, and distribution.

Review 119:lots of nice amenities on-site

Review 120:The first room we were given smelled musty and moldy. We spoke with the person at the desk, and she agreed to let us change. The second room was an improvement, but the hotel needs updating. The air-conditioner was noisy and the room very basic--nothing special.

Review 121:The hotel is conveniently located for those going diving or taking the ferry. There's a restaurant and a juice bar, and they open early. The staff is helpful.

Review 122:The rooms were not so nice the bathroom gave me the willies, it was just the necessities and nothing more. The shower was hairy, didn't have the drain cover on and just not appealing in the least. No place to put my personals in the bathroom.

Review 123:The staff were very friendly and the view of the ocean was appealing.

Review 124:Big rooms, the cleanliness, the gym is the biggest for an Inn "love it", the restaurant has affortable prices with excellent service and food delicious, finally the pool was super clean and the water temperature awsome and the largest exotic bird cage.

Review 125:firm mattress, get some king size beds the bedspread was too heavy needed a blanket the mattress was a back killer

Review 126:convenient to ferry. food excellent in restuarant, quiet room. staff great

Review 127:I didnt like that the hotel is on a hill and it was a bit hard to find when trying to use a GPS, but this wouldnt stop me from staying there again!

Review 128:Its a really nice hotel. The facilities and pools were all very clean, the staff was great and the food at their Puerto Rican cuisine restaurant was absolutely amazing!! Its at a good location because its close to were you take the Ferry to Culebra or Vieques. Also close to the Fajardo BioBay.

Review 129:It wasn't so awesome having to climb up from the pools to the room, I havr asma and it was a struggle

Review 130:I loved the facilities, the tenis and basketball courts, the mini golf and specially the pool!

Review 131:Great air-conditioning, but wish there were blankets (not just sheets) on the beds.

Review 132:Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous pool. Large room and bathroom.

Review 133:no Wi-Fi in the room no freezer and no microwave

Review 134:location

Review 135:Staff and location.

Review 136:Great location close to the seven seas beach and ferry to culebra and Vieques.

Review 137:There were lots of mosquitos in the bedroom when we arrived.

Review 138:Facilities are better than a 2 star, pleasantly surprised.

Review 139:Amenities
