Reviews for Hotel Cabañas Safari

Review 1:Power cut, poor WiFi connection, shower only warm for 90 seconds at a time, bathroom light flashed constantly, dirty water pond outside of the room, no food or drinks available at any time of day. Not even a water or coffee

Review 2:The air conditioning and clean sheets

Review 3:The night we stayed the sheet in bed was a little yellowish and was the only one.The mosquitos can easily enter to the room through doors and windows. The swimming pool is small and was a little dirty.

Review 4:The place, very close to palenque ruins with nice garden close to the jungle.

Review 5:a/c is old and noisy cabins have many holes, mosquitoes get in no mosquito nets on beds overall a little TLC would greatly revive this charming place.

Review 6:staff and owner are great, food and surroundings are very good.

Review 7:What they don't tell you is you can't pay with credit card so you better have enough cash, this is my main complaint. My only other "complaint" is linens or lack of. No fitted sheet on bottom and no mattress protector so in morning you wake on icky stained mattress and towels have icky stains.

Review 8:Ok beautiful location, the grounds are large and quite there is a trail and signs telling you what the plants are. It is close to archeological site and town. Cabanas have private patio, wifi, small cable TV, and good hot water.

Review 9:for us everything was perfect

Review 10:Very restful holiday perfect for the dogs, beautiful countryside wonderful pool for my aquaerobics everyone was very pleasant and polite, will definatley return.

Review 11:looks better in pictures then in real life

Review 12:friendly staff and location (near-ish ruins)

Review 13:All was ok

Review 14:Vegetation

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:Nice, clean, everything's ok.

Review 17:Everything about it.

Review 18:Staff was cool, location was ok. If u have a car it's a good spot. But not if u don't

Review 19:Noise all night long - I will never stay there again.

Review 20:Nice location

Review 21:There are no mosquito nets despite it saying that on booking.com confirmation. And quite a lot of Mosquitos. Also the private terrace isn't really useable because of Mosquitos and doesn't get much air, no good for clothes drying. Also they tried to charge me more than the exchange rate once converted from dollars!

Review 22:The fruit at breakfast is delicious! Best included breakfast we had.

Review 23:We were disturbed by very noisy campers the whole of the first night and found ourselves dining in the midst of a political meeting on another evening.

Review 24:The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, for instance over arranging transport. The garden and surroundings are attractive. The availabilty of good plain meals in the evening was a pleasant surprise.

Review 25:I with my friends arrived in Palenque feeling that our vacation there will be made up only with ruins, waterfalls and resting among jungles. But NO. Staff of that hotel were very kind to us and support all our ideas. We had really good relations with all of them. Bungalow was very cozy and we thought that tropical jungles were so close to us.We were happy to have airconditioner and cold/hot water supply there.Hotel have little zoo and swimming pool as well.

Review 26:A bit of hwy noise at times, but the truckers stop rolling by at night.

Review 27:Excellent staff! From the moment we arrived we were given 5 star service. Adrian and his brother will do his best to make sure your stay is first class. Best Beefsteak dinners and a very good breakfast (included). We loved the bungalow and our daughter stayed in the upper section and loved it. You must remember, this is an Ecolodge, not a luxery hotel, but still it was great! The family that operates this Ecolodge are Mayan and they are very much into protecting the jungle and it's wildlife. The Three Lagunas have crocodiles and they took us out in the canoe to look at them. ***Note*** This Ecolodge is off of hwy 307, not in the city of Ocosingo like the Booking.com map says. That error cost us a day. We'll for sure be going back on our next trip.

Review 28:Awful restaurant expensive dry meat and breakfast Could be better.... Swimming pool does absolutely not look like the picture...

Review 29:Clean room, king size bed, Nice view, Nice garden and animals, Nice staff!

Review 30:Dine elsewhere even if you feel too tired. It's possible to order food there but the price is enormous and the quality leaves much to be desired. There's no even a menu - you just take the only option they have. Plenty of better places within a walking distance.

Review 31:Cabanas are in the middle of jungle, animals and birds are around. Feels very authentic. Two big and two smaller parrots live at the reception (they are being very loud in the morning). Breakfast jam is to die for.

Review 32:Air conditioning did not work well because the cabin doors and windows were not tight.

Review 33:The setting in Nature. Explanations of rubber tapping, cacao, cinnamon trees etc. by owner and staff.

Review 34:Pool was dirty

Review 35:Perfect hotel, beautiful.

Review 36:The place is truly amazing!! It's very peaceful & lots of tranquility. Definitely going again in future!

Review 37:Very friendly manager. Good breakfast. Nice maya-house
