Reviews for Hotel Driekoningen

Review 1:NOT GOOD AT ALL ,SMELLY, VERY LOUD DUE THE RESTAURANT AND LATE PARTY NOT TO MENTION THE CLEANING STARTED AT 6.30 AM MOVING CHAIRS..VACUUM...UNFRIENDLY ...

Review 2:NOTHING

Review 3:Stairs to the second floor were tricky but probably not for a European.

Review 4:The included breakfast was great, staff helpful and friendly. We ate out of the hotel as the meals appeared more expensive than what we were prepared to pay.

Review 5:No internet in room Food good but over-priced

Review 6:The hotel was very comfortable and quiet although we had a little trouble finding it. Rooms very well appointed The food is excellent, there was a special barbecue evening which was very enjoyable.

Review 7:We arrived at 3pm - the earliest time available to book in. We were faced with a hand written sign on the front door which we couldn't read and our allocated key on the reception table. It felt cold and unwelcoming. By chance a woman passed us and we asked about the bar/ evening meal and breakfast times. However she was unsmiling and unapologetic when informing us that the bar/ restaurant was closed and nearest place to eat was Veurne. When we showed our disappointment another lady called though to tell us of a place in the village. I felt like we were intruding on their day off. Out of all the places we have stayed during our 3 week European trip this was the worst welcome of all.

Review 8:The hotel had modern landscaped patio. The standard double room was comfortable. The breakfast offered a good choice and was plentiful.

Review 9:Room for group of 3 was small but there was a mistake with the booking

Review 10:Clean, modern and friendly Very pretty village Very tasty outdoor barbecue in the evening, if a little pricy

Review 11:Excellent hotel wish we had stayed longer. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff even when we arrived after 9:30 at night and wanted a meal. Fantastic, would definitely recommend it.

Review 12:We used this as a stop off after getting off the ferry. Our ferry was late and the staff stayed up until we arrived. There is ample parking at the rear of the hotel. A very nice hotel that I would re-visit.

Review 13:Small hotel. Away from hustle and bustle. Very well presented. Minimum staff, but friendly.

Review 14:Two excellent dinners

Review 15:Room was hot no air con could do with a fan on hot days

Review 16:Location was excellent and food was out of this world

Review 17:quiet room little beautiful village

Review 18:Nothing too dislike.

Review 19:Staff were very helpful as we needed to find a cycle shop so they drew us a map to the nearest one. Room was very clean, comfortable bed, and nice outdoor patio area to sunbathe.

Review 20:There were no tea/coffee making facilities in room, and no indoor lounge area for relaxation.

Review 21:Fantastic setting in very quiet village (no shops or other eateries). Excellent room and cuisine - the latter not cheap. Good location for visiting Ypres and other WW1 sites.

Review 22:it's not free of charge for children less than 5 years old. we paid breakfast and extra cost

Review 23:room clean, excellent bed. cooking was excellent. place very quiet

Review 24:Location is terrible, Nothing around or nearby, incorrect pictures on your website the rooms looked nothing like what the picture portrayed, over priced for the room we had, stained carpets, not a nice room at all not for valentines weekend and spoilt the break really very disappointed.

Review 25:Comfy bed, good shower

Review 26:There was no room key available during our stayEvening meals were expensive for an overnight stop 55€ per person summer special A poor selection at breakfast and the food buffet was not replenished when emptied Main dislike the hotel is not situated in Veurne, but a ten minute drive from the motorway to its countryside location in a small village

Review 27:Quiet location and set in nice surroundings

Review 28:Very dark in the car park. No broadband reception in the room.

Review 29:Helpful staff Quiet setting Recommended good restaurant as theirs wasclosed. Very generous breakfast

Review 30:Service wasnt the best, definitely not alligned with the elegance the place portraits plus I had a big hole in my cloth napkin and i got given a very dirty spoon which i had to have replaced. It's not a big deal but what if i eat with a spoon with old food leftovers on it? I dont like the idea...

Review 31:I stayed one night with my Girlfriend and my dog. The room was basic but clean, the bed was really large and very comfortable (Pillows too hard) Breakfast was limited for the price but good. We dine at their restaurant, the food was awesome and the restaurant (not cheap!! minimum 50EUR per person) to eat al fresco is very chic and relaxing. Location is rural, very nice village and only few minutes drive from the sea and other locations. Free WIFI (not mentioned in the description) was a plus.

Review 32:Bedrooms were dissapointing considering the reception and dining area. There were no tea making facilities in the room at all. In hindsight Ishould have booked the nearest etap for the same price.

Review 33:The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after two and a half weeks oftravelling it was nice to watch the english national geographic channel. The location was lovely and easy to find. The reception area was wellpresented.

Review 34:The staff were not very friendly

Review 35:Very comfortable and clean

Review 36:Breakfast isn't worth it, Tea & Coffee making facilities could've been in room.

Review 37:Nice place, rooms clean and good bed.

Review 38:food was excellent, well worth a stay. would definitely recommend a meal at this hotel.

Review 39:Simple decor in the room

Review 40:Breakfast

Review 41:great food

Review 42:resturant not open at night
