Reviews for Mision Palenque

Review 1:NA

Review 2:Best hotel from Palenque slightly away from city which gives its tranquility. The hotel has a very good well-ness facility with loads of different massages, tezmacal and pool. Nice room with excellent service at the restaurant.

Review 3:All ... Maybe the fried tortillas with the salsa was the only good thing

Review 4:Nothing ... Service it's terrible , pool its dirty , the rooms have a humidity smell , the hotel over reacts with the prices , the variety in the menu is so poor and the kitchen is too slow etc etc

Review 5:A perfect location in a secluded area and close to everything worth seeing in Palenque. Good restaurant and friendly staff. The best place to stay in Palenque

Review 6:Sometimes there were noise issues, either from parties in the hotel or just from the bar. The wifi was a bit weak in our room. NOTE: The spa area is separate and not accessible to hotel guests who don't buy a treatment. If you have a big budget, do consider having the Mayan sauna treatment. It's quite an experience, although very expensive for a 45 minute sauna.

Review 7:The staff were all very professional and courteous. They helped us out with a misunderstanding over what our tariff covered. The food in the restaurant is good and well priced. Try the tamales. The swimming pool area is very relaxing.

Review 8:Too many tour operators and people. Buffet option for food felt more like a production line. Food quality was fair to good. Beverage options were limited at the bar. Our reservation was not what we had booked. We needed a three person room. When we arrived, the booking was for two persons. The staff were able to fix the situation.

Review 9:The staff were courteous and attentive. Hotel is in a nice park setting. It is a little far away from the archeological park.

Review 10:Some large tour groups also visited at the same time. Europeans are accustomed to smoking in the dining areas which are now forbidden in many places in the US.

Review 11:Mision Palenque was the excellent choice for a recent visit to the ruins. A friend and I stayed five days and found the staff to be extremely attentive and cordial. The dining experience was enhanced by the supervision of Nociel who directed his staff with efficiency and a personal touch. Susana greeted us as guests and inquired about our needs. The spa experience proved to be restful and invigorating. The grounds are landscaped beautifully, the pool excellent and our room impeccably clean. We would choose Mision Palenque again. Feclicitaciones.

Review 12:Despite what the description said, wifi in the rooms was non-existent and one had to go to the reception and restaurant. This was very inconvenient, and we got no explanation from the staff, other than what we already knew -- that there was no connectivity in the rooms. Disappointing. Some sections of the Ruta Saludable are not very intuitive in terms of which direction to take. Perhaps the route could be kept completely green and away from the tarmacked drive into the hotel by using the perimeter of the grassy areas on both sides of the driveway. Spa and gym were not clearly labelled, and we did not go there, thinking we'd be invading a private party, as the area appeared roped off. A signboard and welcome sign would really help.

Review 13:I can't say enough about the staff. Friendly, courteous and helpful were they, to just list a few qualities. Beautiful grounds. It's possible that the hotels in the 'Emerald City' (jungle) around the Palenque ruins may have a much nicer ambiance (can't compare since we did not stay there), but in compensation, the hotel has gone to great lengths to create huge green spaces, including a very welcome Ruta Saludable around the grounds. Buffet dinner and breakfast were great, giving good value for money, with mariachis to boot for dinner! Very nice!

Review 14:Surpisingly slow wi-fi, one can practically only send e-mails; you can't swim in the pool, not just because it's small, but mostly because dozens of kids keep falling in the water, trying to disturb it as much as possible; food prices in hte restaurant are rather high; we had to queue for at least 25 minutes in order to get our food from the buffet; the hotel is rather isolated, at the edge of the town.

Review 15:The AC was good, the sound isolation was ggod too. Quiet surroundings. Staff at the reception and the restaurant was friendly.

Review 16:Bathroom a bit outdated. Far from the downtown and site. AC was leaking... it was fixed promptly. Not suitable for you if you don't like animals.

Review 17:Restaurant is good. Beautiful gardens. Bike lending. Pool. Clean.

Review 18:Food was bellow acceptance, a large buffet full of ugly and unapetizing food

Review 19:I loved the huge property, the pool and the gardens

Review 20:Loved hotel, location, staff - bueno!

Review 21:The hotel is located in a wooded area not far from the Palenque ruins. And the staff was exceptionally helpful.

Review 22:could do with a bit of an update

Review 23:nice and comfortable, great location for exploring the ruins and waterfalls.

Review 24:Comfortable rooms, nice gardens, nice buffet breakfast, easy to access, clean, friendly and helpful staff

Review 25:Staff were so friendly and accomodating, a real asset to the hotel.

Review 26:I didn't like they don't have carafe, the mattress was too hard

Review 27:i like that it was close to the downtown

Review 28:The staff was really helpful with anything we asked for including arranging tours to the ruins, Agua azul and Misol-Ha for us the hotel overall is a great choice we were not dissapointed at any moment during our stay.

Review 29:Not that easy to find when you get to Palenque town by bus.

Review 30:Very nice Place with lots of green. It's like beeing in the Jungle because of its Location where the town ends. Perfect place to relax after a long day. Good mexikan food and drinks.

Review 31:Because it is a resort food is expensive. No coffee maker in the room. The staff push the buffet by charging a great deal for the menu items.

Review 32:Beautiful grounds helpful friendly staff. We were greated with a smile and a margarita.

Review 33:Big party close to our from a private villa that could not be ignored going until 3am. That was off grounds and hope it was a holiday only special event.

Review 34:Great grounds with quiet rooms. Good helpful staff for the most part, except the front desk seemed more interested in the accounting they were mesmerized with than giving us information about the hotel. I stayed there before so knew my way around. Skipped the breakfast. Did not look as good as last time I stayed there. But there was plenty to eat if you wanted it.

Review 35:Room facing the pool, screaming kids until ~2300. Advise requesting a room on the other side of the building. Average wifi.

Review 36:Clean comfortable room. Good shower.

Review 37:Too much pleasure!
