Reviews for Fletcher Hotel De Zalm

Review 1:The staff are so helpfull and friendly and the food is tasty and plentiful. The location is in the centre of the beatiful town of Brielle. This is our second stay and we hope to go back again later on this year

Review 2:Only small issue with heating that was resolved very quickly

Review 3:Great location within easy walking distance of town centre. Good breakfast included. Large clean rooms

Review 4:The rooms were way, way, way overpriced. We travel all over Europe & this area of the Netherlands is far and away the very worst value for money we come to . Room very pokey, very smelly (it was the drains from the sink) & very tatty & dingy. We were offered better rooms for a higher price but were already paying what would have got us lovely spacious en suite rooms anywhere else.

Review 5:Breakfast was nice & staff pleasant.

Review 6:The walls in the room were dirty. Sharing a bathroom and shower on our floor with everyone else was not mentioned when booking. Very noisy.

Review 7:Good location.. Great breakfast..good staff in bar, reception, historic town.

Review 8:The breakfast is in a separate room that is not attractive. No problem at all for me. It's what I came for. But the room was very noisy because of huge celebrations going on and the window looks out right on the 'pleintje' with maybe one hundred people drinking and partying. If that would disturb you, be smart and ask for a room away from the noise.

Review 9:It doesn't feel like a chain hotel. It's very 'gezellig' downstairs in the bar and restaurant.

Review 10:worn carpets, dirt on bedroom walls, flaking paint on bedroom walls, price of bedroom condsidering there was no bathroom or toilet on suite.

Review 11:location, friendly staff

Review 12:Charged for parking which was advertised as free (though they did remove the charge when queried). Charged for leaving a bit late when we'd been told it would be ok (but charge was removed when queried)

Review 13:Helpful staff Central location Nice room Nice bed

Review 14:The hotel has a good location in the centre of town near to many restaurants and bars. Room clean but quite small. Free Wi-Fi available which worked for the majority of the time. Enjoyed the breakfast and service was good. Bicycle friendly with a shed available for bicycles.

Review 15:I had a great room

Review 16:Nice hotel, very good breakfast. Located in main place, in centre of city.

Review 17:Very good location and friendly staff Pet friendly Very good restaurant & Bar

Review 18:Shared toilette- some people are inconsiderate...

Review 19:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good beds.

Review 20:Centrally located comfortable hotel

Review 21:No lift, so struggled to climb all the stairs.

Review 22:The friendly staff, very helpful. Carried our luggage up !

Review 23:lack of isolation between rooms the quality of the bed the very dated furniture/interior

Review 24:location in the center

Review 25:Staff were very good

Review 26:very simple, small bathroom,

Review 27:great place in Brielle, breakfast fine, room big enough (doubleroom), 24h reception(not in description) but with a dog (old and calm)

Review 28:poor value for money spent tiny rooms with VERY dated furnishings no elevator and huge, steep flights of stairs major black mildew stains in the bathroom Staff vacuuming the hallway at 8am Generally not what we would have expected for a Fletcher Hotel

Review 29:location

Review 30:No lift, and no safe or hair-drier in the room, although hair drier could be obtained from reception.

Review 31:Convenient location with free private car park. Breakfast included in room price. Friendly English-speaking staff.

Review 32:Hotel room needs refurbishing, style of 1960s, bath was fine. Room ice cold, bath room heater not working. Much noise from next door rooms until late at night. The room is very expensive for what you get. Reception staff with no friendly attitude. Will not go there again.

Review 33:Location is excellent, Brielle is a lovely old town. Breakfast area and served food are ok.

Review 34:Room walls too thin, could hear next door all night. They don't have a 'Don't disturb hanger' - I had a late night and early in the morning staff just opened my door and entered. This happened twice in my 3 days stay. When booking this hotel I assumed I would get breakfast. Well, don't be too excited about the breakfast because it consists of a cup of tea and a 6x6 cm cookie. In addition, any place I have been they usually have a little teapot/water boiler with a mug and some tea bags. Nothing here.

Review 35:Kind and helpful staff. Overall good.

Review 36:Single room not at the level of a supposed 3* hotel. Old furniture. Small bathroom with just liquid soap/shampoo. No wifi availble. Old tv set with limited international channels.

Review 37:Located in the center of Brielle. Clean room but with old curtains. Quite calm at the back of the hotel.

Review 38:The decoration of the rooms are from the 70ties. Price / Quality notin line. These rooms are well paid for at 55 / 65 euro not 119.

Review 39:Staff at the bar. Free WiFi

Review 40:Lack of food for breakfast well before ending (during the weekend, lot of guests at the hotel)

Review 41:This place has its climate, room was very comfortable for 3 guests, staff was friendly and helpful, safe parking close to the hotel

Review 42:Its need a bit of TLC in areas plus the decor in lookking a tad tide although everythign is nice & clean.

Review 43:Staff were extremely friendly plus the continental breakfast was good.

Review 44:Hotel looking very tired and grubby. Was not allowed to check in at 2 despite Booking info provided. Had to sit about in reception for almost an hour.

Review 45:Secure parking, central location in pretty town

Review 46:A lovely hotel, fabulous food and service. Excellent parking for motorbikes.

Review 47:Noisy plumbing in next room

Review 48:Needed a rest. Got one. Friendly staff.

Review 49:The staff are increadible. Johan, Jeremy, Michael, Lorenzo and Mario made the hotel feel like a wonderful welcoming home away from home.

Review 50:Small historique city. Calm and easy interesting walks. Pleasant helpful hotel staff.

Review 51:Breakfast was not very good. There was no coffee ready and there where not enough tables.
