Review 1：Booked a room for honeymoon couple paid upfront and when we came there more money had to be paid. Rip off. There was no transfer from the airport to hotel and back as stated on the booking. Will think 10 times before booking through booking.com again.

Review 5：Dinner at 7:30 is too late for the kids. Its a pitty there is to much corral and rocks in the sea. This is not a smimming beach. Also its a pitty that most channels if not all is in French. We may have seen 3 things on that was in English. Its a problem when you have small kids would like to watch a bit of TV before bedtime.

Review 21：This hotel is very popular with families as they offer and "all inclusive" meal and drink package. Unfortunately this means that all meals are buffet style and the restaurant does not have an " a la carte" option. The hotel has an affiliation with a pizza shop across the road but only provides pizza and no other menu options. Not many other restaurant options around the hotel which means a AUD $20 round trip taxi ride to Grand Bale. We only ate breakfast, which was a limited selection due to the all inclusive package. They only served bacon on alternative days. The hotel has nightly entertainment which is supplied by the in house band and staff which is average at best. The hotel had a welcome cocktail party which the manager spoke at but all was in French with no translation for non French speaking guests. We found that most occasions French was used for these type of events. The rooms all face towards the west so the afternoon sun comes in thru the windows, even after repeated requests to house keeping to shut the blinds (which they didn't) when they had finished cleaning the room. This makes the room very hot and the air conditioner isn't strong enough to cool the entire room. House keeping was poor with towels forgotten to be replaced on 1 occasion (and 1 other occasion fro another couple we travelled with). When they did finally supply the towels, after being reminded, they smelt like smoke and where thread bare. Some staff where rude while some where OK but it came across as a chore to communicate with you. While showering the water alternated between hot and cold while the pressure was less than adequate.

Review 23：Wifi only worked in lobby and reception area, not in rooms. Wifi still very poor Not possible to dine a la carte in hotel restaurant, every night was buffé night for 700 RS p/p. Very noisy around the pool area daytime because of loud music playing all day long. Hotel arranged different theme nights for its all inclusive guests every night. Often loud music playing after midnight = no sleep Too few sundbeds and umbrellas in pool area which meant you had to reserve with your towel early morning, which is really a terrible habit to do but a must if you wanted a sunbed or umbrella.

Review 36：Where the Coral Azure Hotel fails is that it tries to be a resort hotel. The buffets are "Theme" Chinese/Indian/Italian etc. but it is all the same with a variation in maybe two dishes. All food is un imaginative and without flair. The "CHEFS" spend more time talking than looking after the food. The waiters are not much better...just going through the motions. What is needed here is a strong F&B Director/Manager. The music and "ENTERTAINMENT" is in the same category...Boring ..unimaginative resort hotel mumbo jumbo. It is 2014 and we have heard YMCA at least twice a day and Louis Prima and Dean Martin even more often....over and over and over. This Hotel could be the "working Classes" de luxe Boutique Hotel on Mauritius. Affordable and beautiful and it would not take a major investment by the owners to make that happen.. just sound Operational and Departmental Management

Nestled centrally between Mont Choisy and Traux aux Biches wonderful beaches the choice is yours: Mont Choisy is easier to walk at low tide, Traux aux Biches is OK low or high tide, the gardens and pool are great, the small pebbly beach is OK for the short time you will spend there with these two amazing beaches on your door step. Nature supplied Coral Azure with a natural charm and amazing sunsets. The rooms are spacious and our room.222, had an ultra King size and magnificent views over the gardens and bay. Cupboard and shelf space is ample even if you bring 40 kg's each....it is all good!

Review 66：The lunch menu is limited with toasted sandwiches that are not that appetizing and dinner is expensive, the buffet is value for money but be careful when eating so many different dishes and don't forget to take you own wine along. The rooms are in a need of some refurbishment, but for what you pay not a bad deal.

Review 67：The Coral Azur is located near Grand Baie with a Super Saver shopping mall and other shopping facilities any world traveler desire. The hotel has the best private beach, pool area and lovely staff with a great kids club and evening entertainment. Breakfast was sufficient and the rooms spacious and fair.

Review 68：When we arrived, the room wasn't yet ready as we had to ask for towels(both for bathroom and swimming);we could not put on the TV as the neighbour next room, knocked at our door to tell us they are being disturbed by the TV volume(volume which was very soft even for us); when we went for the boat trip out into the sea, we had to sit in the boat for about half an hour while a couple went swimming, then we returned and we asked ourselves what was the purpose of the trip.

Review 69：Being an admirer of nature, we were impressed by the good and sound environment within the complex, with green plants and trees everywhere. The room and food were excellent. Staff were friendly which made us feel at home;not forgetting to say "hats off" for the music and entertainment teams who were on feet very actively.

Review 71：It was our first time in Mauritius, our late honeymoon and we could not choose a better place to stay. A very nice and warm hotel, with all the facilities you need. We loved the swimming pool/jacuzzi. The Staff was simply FANTASTIC and always willing to help with a big smile. Special thanks to Francesco, the Director and his animation crew. The guys were very friendly. (a special thanks to Vishnu). Everyday different Buffet (Mediterranean, Indian, Chinese, Mauritian...), so you dont get fed up of eating always the same. The room was very comfortable and always clean. If we come back one day to Mauritius, we might come back to Coral Azur!!

Review 72：I would not reccomend this hotel for people that is not French and want to go on holdiday to rest. They should say that this is a mostly French Hotel. Couldn't watch tv. Breakfast is boring the same everyday. They should inform you that they have a party every night till 11 o clock so you cant go to sleep till then and we came here to rest! So we had no choice to watch tv till then.The chairs at the pool are old, worn out and not enough. We never get a space because other selfish guests put their towels on to keep a place for themselves but were nowhere to be seen. Grand Baie is 5 km from the hotel and not 500 m as they say on their site. If we knew that we would have stayed in Grand Baie. We travel overseas at least twice a year and this hotel is only 3 star quality.

Review 73：The first night we came late about nine and was tired. The guests were loud and partying so we couldnt sleep and the tv was on french. So the next day we told them our problem.The manager gave us another tv for our room so we could watch our movies in english from a flashstick we luckily brought with us, whilst the rest of the guests party till 11 oclock every night. Our room were old but very clean and special with the towels folded different each day.

Review 74：Family-club-hotel atmosphere (every evening annoying dancing/songs program), the minibar in the room was ridiculously overpriced (a bottle of water 10 times the price of the supermarket price), the rooms could use some maintenance (especially the bathrooms)

Review 79：My friends and I really wanted to do ski nautique but unfortunately our feet were too small to fit in the ski even though it was adjustable. Maybe the boat house should be a bit more equipped.

Review 80：I was really satisfied with Coral Azur's customer service where the staffs were friendly and helpful. The rooms were also beautiful and comfortable. Moreover, I also liked the food and the animation at night. I did two nights there and was satisfied on both days.

Friendly and helpful staff, extremely high level of cuisine compared to our expectations - our Friday night dinner was a luxury treat! Best Sega show of the island, starring renowned performers (singer and dancers you find in guide books!) In general you could feel the attention to detail and the passion for hospitality, probably driven by the Italian director managing the place.
