Review 1：Perhaps Hokitika could use a bigger selection of eating places. The good ones (eg Pita Pizza) get crowded.

Review 2：The room was excellent, well thought out, spacious and very clean. The sort of room you would be happy to stay in for a period. The owner, Rob, was very welcoming and his wife also.

Review 4：Very welcoming, and great place to see Hokitika. A tour - recommended by waiter in Stella Coffee Shop - to the Hokitika Gorge and round Lake Kaniere was BRILLIANT! Good live music in local bar. A very beautiful place to visit.

Review 5：I want to start by saying that the word "motel" has a different connotation in NZ than in the US. In the US, you never know what you'll get and it usually isn't great. You get what you pay for so to speak. In NZ, a motel, and we stayed in about 11 of them, is clean, comfortable, sizable, and well equipped. This one was no exception. Heated mattress pads, new shower & kitchen comfy large bed, roomy rooms and a little garden/barbeque area outside. The outside is nothing to look at but the inside was pleasantly surprising.

Review 11：Had just 2 night stay here, a good stop off on long way down the West coast. Staff very friendly and helpful, laundry etc. Our unit had a pleasant outlook of the small central garden, was set back a bit further from road so not noisy.

Review 12：The room was quite cold upon entering which always feels kind of unwelcome to me, but that little issue was quickly resolved by turning on the heater and curling up under the fleece blanket.

Review 14：Not the room that we had booked on the internet. Disappointed after being offered an upgrade to an apartment unit for an extra $10.00 that we were given a studio unit. Room was a little cramped, very stark (could have had some pictures on wall) and there was no telephone. A concern that what would happen if there was a fire with no phone in the unit? The smoke alarm was placed above the door (it should have been on the roof). We did have a cell phone but not everyone has. Expected a little more for $140.

Review 16：Location was great however a railway crossing right outside the room was a bit of a concern but luckily it did not disturb us too much. Spa bath was excellent. Whitebait patties on the breakfast menu, classic.

Review 20：Plenty of room.... gd walking distance from town also I asked if I cd arrive early and this request was accommodated by cleaners getting my unit ready as priority... on a wettish day I really appreciated that...

Review 21：near railway. the hotel is very close to the railway. i think the train is not friquent, as i stay in the hotel from 4pm to 10am next day, only heard one train passed by at 6pm.

Review 23：A very comfortable unit - nicely set out. Bed was comfortable, shower hot and strong and the surroundings attracive and quiet. Nice to have the green tea! It was a lovely touch to walk into a unit that had been warmed up in preparation for our stay.

Review 24：The room was a little bit small, so that the kitchen was not separated from the beds. It would cause kitchenette smell on the beds and luggages.

Review 25：The crew was nice and helpful. We got to the motel late in the evening, but the crew was still waiting for us and gave us a clear guideline. The facility of the room is extremely convenience. We could find all we needed for cooking Chinese and western food.

Review 26：Window catches defective, allowing gusty wind in and thus room did not maintain temperature. Light above couch not working. Little cover if one wanted to stand outside and smoke (not everyone has given up yet!)

Review 33：Really appreciated having my bags taken to the i-site as I did not have a car. I was very happy with the accommodation. I heard a train but it was not a problem at all.

Review 34：Not realizing we were right next to the train line. The early train noise at 6.30 on the first morning was a bit of a shock but not an issue once we realized what it was. Pretty much slept through it on following mornings.
