Reviews for Eco Inn Cusco
Review 1:The reception staff and breakfast staff weren't very interactive or especially welcoming, maybe because we didn't speak much Spanish.
Review 2:Fantastic value we stayed 2 nights 24-26 Dec 2015. The hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station and the artisan markets. The rooms were very clean and confortable and included a safe. It was about 12min walk to the main plaza. Breakfast was included on our stay and there was a good variety. Whilst waiting in the lounge area, we were approached by one of the friendly spa staff who gave us a free sample hand and neck massage which we later reserved 2 x 1 hour massages which was very relaxing in a great facility. There was also a hotel security guard at night.
Review 3:When we checked in to the hotel we have received 20% discount voucher for the restaurant and spa. When we were checking out and wanted to clear the bill they advised we couldnt used the voucher as we were supposed to given it to the waiter when we ordered food in the restaurant. It was pointless to give us the voucher..
Review 4:clean, modern hotel
Review 5:The SPA is really expensive and not very relaxing, as the staff is quite stressed. The WiFi was not working all the time.
Review 6:The rich breakfast buffet was really good. Also, it had a large room with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.
Review 7:Water stopped working in the middle of the night and we had to get someone to fix. We were given the wrong directions by front desk (my husband speaks spanish so was not a language barrier). Would still stay again.
Review 8:Nice hotel, friendly staff. Big rooms. Luggage storage a plus. Right across from the markets and not far from airport.
Review 9:Very weak wi fi reception , sometime non existent. Front desk missed the wake up call one morning. No explanation or apology when inquired at the desk.
Review 10:A helpful staff, good service & location
Review 11:Request to not have a room near the Av de Sol. First night was horrific with the noise. The beds are very firm. The hotel was a little ways from the plaza, which I didn't expect.
Review 12:The second night was better than the first because we changed rooms.
Review 13:We requested to cancel the bill the night before an early departure but the receptionist preferred to do it on the day of departure. It took us 15 min to cancel the bill, they made a mistake and charged us more and called us while we were in the cab to the airport. We had to come back, spend another 15 min and had to pay more for the cab. This is not a reason for not staying in the hotel which was very very good, just a bad decision and service from a particular staff at reception.
Review 14:Beautiful hotel, good restaurant and service, comfortable room and bed, quiet, close to main plaza.
Review 15:Although the staff is really helpful otherwise, they did not volunteer any information on good restaurants near by. When we asked about a particular restaurant, they suggested we eat at their restaurant on the premises.
Review 16:We liked the hotel. They arranged to pick us up from the airport. The breakfast was good. There is a laundry and super market near by. It is walking distance from Plaza Des Armas. The Artisan Market is tight across the road. I would stay here again.
Review 17:We had to leave early to catch a flight, so the check out time of 9am was no problem for us, but I can see how it would be an issue if you had later onward travel. And because of this check out time, the cleaner walked in at 7.20am, but luckily we were up and showering. Just make sure to leave the "do not disturb" sign on the door! And I'm sure the hotel would hold any bags for those with late onward travel.
Review 18:We stayed here for one night after a 4 day trek to Machu Picchu. Our room was really comfortable and big, and also quiet. The bathroom an absolute heaven after our trek (hot shower, soft towel, toiletries etc). WiFi was also good and I don't understand the negative comments about breakfast - there is hot and cold food, fruit, cereals, tea, coffee, juices, yogurt - a feast! Also they let us leave our big bags there for the duration of our trek, even though we our night's stay with them was after.
Review 19:The coffee at breakfast needs to be improved:there was no viable alternative either as all the teas were of the local herbal variety!
Review 20:The location was good, not exactly in the main square yet close to all the main sights. The free shuttle from the airport was an unexpected bonus.
Review 21:Internet service was bad. In my room, Wi-Fi internet did not connected.
Review 22:Facilities are comfortable, room was clean. The location was so close to downtown.
Review 23:The rooms all "face" the open interior of the hotel (where the lobby is), just like an Embassy Suites. That made the rooms a bit noisy at times, as you could hear the hustle and bustle of the entrance. It wasn't terribly loud, but noticeable.
Review 24:Literally one block from train station. Clean, spacious room. Excellent free breakfast with a variety of options -- something for everyone. Free coca tea in the lobby. Front desk folks spoke excellent English. The location is about 5 blocks from the main plaza in Cuzco, but is in a great, safe part of down directly across the street from a local market with shops, crafts, etc..
Review 25:I came down with minor symptoms of altitude sickness where I could not sleep. They had copious amount of coca tea but most incredibly, they had bottled oxygen on site which Mr. Henry had the staff provide twice that night. They also stored our luggage while we passed through Cusco on our return. Thankyou
Review 26:Had a room on 2nd floor overlooking the dining room. NOISY!! Returning g a week later, we had a Room over the back courtyard which was MUCH quieter. If only the lights hadn't gone out!
Review 27:I liked everything.
Review 28:After 3 weeks of volunteering my 2 days living like a tourist at the Eco Inn was a breath of fresh air. Hot showers, clean crisp sheets, and a comfortable bed were like heaven!!!
Review 29:Checkout was very early- not helpful if you're not needed to be at the airport until late.
Review 30:Excellent restaurant and massage facilities with vouchers for 10-15% discount off each. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent sized rooms, comfortable and clean. Luggage storage provided free of charge whilst hiking the area.

Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:Great Hotel in the center of the city. Near everything and close to the bus/train to Macha Pichu. Great staff and nice breakfast
Review 46:Disturbing traffic. We couldn't sleep. Get a room away from the street IF you stay at The Eco Inn.

Review 59:The location, the staff and good food also.
Review 60:Perfect location, delicious breakfast.
Review 61:Eco Inn's very close proximity to PeruRail Bus Station. Eco Inn's right opposite Cusco's very large craft shop. They stored our luggage overnight until our return from MachuPicchu for free even though we weren't returning to stay at Eco Inn. Lovely breakfast!
Review 62:Not all reception staff spoke English therefore sometime leading to minor confusion, but all staff were helpful.
Review 63:Excellent location and safe for single female travellers to walk to and from hotel, even later in evenings
Review 64:Hotel forgot to arrange for airport pick-up that was preorganized andaccepted; Staff had to be prompted on four different occasions toreceive ride back to the airport in exchange; breakfast was skimpy- poorchoice and quality of cereals
Review 65:Restaurant's menu based food- excellent vegetable soup and salads;Staff's willingness to resolve issues was excellent
Review 66:At check-in, the receptionist made a copy of our credit card "for payment guarantee purposes", which we demanded be handed over to us as we paid the whole stay upfront in cash.
Review 67:Very comfortable rooms, has a Spa inside, which we used and was excellent! Breakfast was very good. Is located in front of the city's artisan market and not too far from the main square (Taxi cost = 5 soles).
Review 68:n/a
Review 69:Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent. Very good location, in a nice street close to downtown and across the street from a crafts market.
Review 70:Wifi was unreliable at times.
Review 71:We thought the rooms were great -good size, nice beds and really clean. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a view of the market opposite. We had a lovely breakfast each morning -which we all enjoyed. There was a bit of a walk to the Plaza de Armas, but we didn't mind b/c the hotel was well proud and very comfortable.
Review 72:It was superbly situated for our needs. The station is within strolling distance. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are comfortable. The food is great. The hotel has a wonderful spa....the massage was excellent. The whole atmosphere is friendly and comfortable.
Review 73:The taxi service from the airport didnt work out...we didnt see anyone with our name or hotel name waiting for us, however the hotel stated someone was there. Also one of their published phone lines rings but staff does not pick up this line as evidenced by me and family trying to contact us.
Review 74:Staff was very helpful and always available for service....the location was perfect and the price was well worth it.
Review 75:Had requested a room facing inner courtyard, the view was adorable, it was quiet and clean. Hot water available 24-7, basic 3 star hotel accomodations. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the town plaza, across the street from tourist shopping mall.
Review 76:I didn't like that the staff asked us to leave after the first night even though we were booked for 2 nights. Also the keys did not work on the second day so we had to again go to reception and have them changed. There was no apology for this or move to make up for this error that made us feel we were not welcome or wanted.
Review 77:Good selection of food for the breakfast. Excellent room facilities.
Review 78:When dining, music can sometimes be a little loud... And the choice canbe a little obsolete or out of context...
