Review 1：No breakfast in the room rate, only a few members of staff speak English. Arrived two hours after check-in time, room wasn't ready, had to wait some more. No hot water in the shower in the morning.

Review 3：The room lacked natural light and fresh air (not possible to open the windows). The wifi in the room wasn't working properly. 50 pesos for a double espresso is a bit expensive and in general the hotel is a bit expensive for what it offers (it says 5 stars but technically would be a 3 stars hotel). It would be nice to include the breakfast in the room price!

Review 5：The restaurant appeared to be largely deserted. The buffet breakfast was removed at 9.00 to make way fior a guitarist! We were given a token for our welcome cocktail as we checked OUT, not IN.

Review 7：It feels like a walled presidio, with the two levels of rooms surrounding a large rambling L-shaped courtyard. Two cozy restaurants on site. Main entrance opens onto a secluded garden-plaza with a couple cafes bistro- which locals use to relax any time of day, with couples strolling and bench-sitting quietly in the evening.

Review 9：Did not get the room I booked (2 beds) I was told that even though that was what I reserved there was no availability so I was being "upgraded" to one with a king size and an old, falling apart pull-out bed. Linens are stained, no hand or face towels or even bath mats. When asked for bath mat, they told me the hotel did not have any. Carpet is stained and ragged.

Review 10：Location is great, and most staff is very nice and attentive, except for the front desk clerk at arrival who was dismissive and did not care what I had booked.

Review 11：It wasn't that big of a deal for me, but the WiFi did not connect inside the room. I went outside to the beautiful court yard and it connected just fine. It was a pleasant inconvenience because the at atmosphere was amazing.

Review 26：Heater was difficult to control, our room was too warm, in all the room was clean, but there was a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling, although the accommodations were clean,carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. WiFi was unreliable, practically nonexistent.

Review 30：On arrival at 6:00pm our room still wasn't ready so we had to wait while they tried to find an empty room (master suite) This suite had a very big wet patch on the carpet outside of the bathroom. This made the room have a very distinct wet smell. Every day we were woken very early by the staff. As the hotel is in a courtyard as such all rooms face the same courtyard and the staff just shout to each other, sing etc which you can hear in the rooms. Our room did not have the coffee replaced on the 2nd day and after informing reception and waiting 2 hours we gave up. On the 3rd day the coffee was replaced but they used my girlfriends shower gloves to clean the coffee pot with. This was evident as the gloves were covered in coffee stains. We had to throw these £15 gloves away. All of these issues were told to reception prior to our departure we were assured that someone would speak to us they didn't, on check out again we said we were not happy with these things and were just told to leave our email address and they would investigate and let us know. 6 weeks later - nothing. I do believe this is a very nice hotel and we were just unlucky though

Review 32：The two times I've stayed, the WiFi has been poor. The first time, the WiFi worked, it was just slow. The second time, I stayed for 7 days. Of the 7 days, the WiFi worked for 5 hours 1 day, and did not work the rest of the time. WiFi is important, and it will be a consideration for my next visit. I wish they would fix it, as I love the hotel, but I need reliable internet.

I like the fact that they allow you toreserve a room without the use of a credit card, but they will ask youfor it once you check in. This hotel, like many others is very colonialand within walking distance to so many atractions that the city ofzacatecas has to offer, just wear a pair of comfy shoes and on your wayyou go! You won't be dissapointed.

Wereally like the convenience of its location, but disliked the odd smellfrom the bathroom; it smelled like sewer, but the bathroom was veryclean.... Some of the light bulbs in our room were out and not replaced.Also, we asked the staff for services at two different occasions, andthe staff were quick to promise delivery but they never did.

Review 41：The hotel staff is helpful when it comes to giving general informationand directions. The location of the hotel is unbeatable; it is wellsituated in the middle of everything, only one block away from the mainbusy Hidalgo Street, and yet it is hiddlen in a quiet dead-end street,so it is very quiet. The small plaza in front of the hotel providesshades and is a nice place to sit or read books early in the morningbefore venturing out.
