Reviews for Casa Torres

Review 1:No elevator in building 1

Review 2:This hotel is located within walking distance to most museums, local restaurants, and cathedral. The hotel is very nice and had beautiful views from our room terrace. I enjoyed having our very reasonable daily breakfast on the top floor overlooking the town.

Review 3:nothing to dislike

Review 4:This hotel is in the historic centre (but up a small incline) it is easy to walk everywhere from this location. The room was very large, comfortable and had a balcony facing the city. It has a small restaurant, continental breakfast was included in the rate, and it is possible to purchase other foods if wished. The food was ok, but service is a little slow, as there is only one person serving, but it is done cheerful and service overall was excellent. All the staff are cheerful, helpful and pleasant. I would recommend a stay here.

Review 5:We paid for a junior suite expecting two double beds but there was one double and a not very comfortable pull out bed. Really don't like those pull out beds. Wifi a bit spotty.

Review 6:Clean, great location with a nice breakfast. All staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Beautiful art in the lobby and the rooms.

Review 7:We found the bed a little too hard and the sheets very stiff, especially the bottom. Like you were sleeping on a rubber liner.

Review 8:Great location, close to everything. We loved the convenience of the upstairs restaurant

Review 9:Our room layout was awkward; window opened on interior stairway. Free breakfast is continental (fruit, yogurt, granola, pan, coffee) it was actually quite good, but they didn't tell you that upfront. I saw other folks having eggs so I thought the conti was a starter so didn't order the yogurt, granola and pan, and then found out that that was it. Not a big deal, but order your conti accordingly

Review 10:Location was excellent. Furnishings and art work were top notch. Breakfast room on upper level had great views and good service

Review 11:My booking was for a standard room with double bed but when I got to the hotel I was told that the standard room was with one bed only and I had to pay 20$ extra to change room and have the double bed

Review 12:Very good location. The hotel is new and clean. Very comfortable

Review 13:It wouldnt hurt a minibar with goodies.

Review 14:The view is beautiful if you get the rooms with windows to the exterior. But what we loved was the price which is totally fair and worth it with the facilities and staff!!!

Review 15:Wifi in the room was often insufficient.

Review 16:There are 2 buildings, main & annex both stylish. Get 3rd floor with balcony of main for super-atmospheric experience of Zacatecas. Nice architecture & art collection.

Review 17:WiFi reception poor and very slow.

Review 18:We had a very spacious junior suite that was well worth the extra money since the other rooms seemed to have no outside windows, only windows overlooking the stairwell. Great bedlinen and towels, The hotle is in a perfect location.

Review 19:Treadmill in mini gym did not work. Non anticipatory service from male workers.

Review 20:The free wifi, cleanliness, view from my semi-private balcony, service from female staff. Location was close yet removed enough from the hustle/bustle of downtown.

Review 21:The only downside was that the price we ended up paying was much more than the original quote in our printout. It was explained that the hotel used USD instead of pesos. So the fact that the CAD had lost value really reflected on the overall cost…..just something to be aware of….currency fluctuations when making your original booking.

Review 22:The staff were there and very helpful at all times. We were given an upgrade to our room as there were not many guests in the hotel during our time there. Room was spacious with all the amenities. The breakfast room was at the top of the hotel with a great view over the city. Staff there were professional and helpful. English is spoken by the person on the desk during the day.

Review 23:I had understood from the Booking website, apparently mistakenly, that there was an airport shuttle available.

Review 24:Comfortable clean quarters with a good view of the city. Accomodating staff.

Review 25:Only the rather weak coffee!

Review 26:The personal attention and ability to accommodate less ordinary requests. Fresh ingredients in meals. Room and bed comfort. Top quality linen and towels. Safe box. Proximity to centre - walkability. City safety. Fab terrace with city views.

Review 27:I did not like the dogs next door in top of the roof barking all day early in the morning and late at night.

Review 28:overall everything was good excellent. except for one thing.

Review 29:Be sure to specify a terrace if you want one. Not many rooms have them and the listing leads you to believe they all do. Small bathroom

Review 30:Lovely view from our terrace. Comfortable large bed Spotless Good sitting area Staff was helpful and very nice Very nice continental breakfast and dining room

Review 31:I had problems with the wifi: the signal seemed to be fine, but sometimes I couldn't get connected. The conversion rate they used worked very much in favour of the hotel.

Review 32:Great location: in the centre, but still quiet. NIce view from my 2nd floor balcony over the town. Nice staff (the breakfast lady was particulatly lovely). Comfortable rooms. There is no elevator, but they carried the luggage up to the room. Although I didn't mind, this is definitely not a 5* hotel with all the usual amenities (but a comfortable place to stay, definitely).

Review 33:Downtown, clean. Great breakfasts.

Review 34:nice rooms with comfortable large beds. the restaurant food was excellent.
