Reviews for Sæbø Camping
Review 1:Awesome location and great owner! He was so friendly and helpful, thank you for all the suggestion you have given us! The place was clean and comfortable, prefect for a group of friends or family. Do take note that for hot shower you have to pay! (10 nok for 4 mins) which is sufficient time for a quick hot shower! But if you are strong and willing to brave the cold, cold shower are free!
Review 2:We stayed in a cabin. We had our own linens but I think you can rent some if you need to. The toilet room was clean and showers were nice. You do have to pay for hot water but this is a campground not a hotel. We also rented a canoe from the campground office for much less than the outdoor company in town. Our cabin was near the office and we got good WiFi inside our cabin. The scenery is lovely.
Review 3:would have been nice to have a closer bathroom/shower. when the wind blew in the right direction, you could distinctly smell cows... the "small market" had nothing so come prepared with all food (and coffee and tea). i suggest bringing your own pillow and sleeping bag or sheets if you can manage.
Review 4:location and staff were good. Our room got warm really fast which was nice since it was so cold when we went (IN JUNE!) hiking near by was excellent! mountains are a must see here.
Review 5:could add a toilet and shower to cabins, wifi only available near the reception. had to pay extra for pillows and linens
Review 6:nice environment. friendly staff
Review 7:common kitchen a bit small, not very well equiped - although as I said - you can rent some kitchen gear (if many guests it might be a problem).
Review 8:Nice camping, clean houses, clean common area, hot shower (10 NOK/4 minutes), very nice owner - he rented us some pots and plates. Close to Voringenfossen.
Review 9:Newly built cabin with modern furnishing and good facilities for self catering. Very compact: one single room with corner kitchen, double bed, sofa and pull out single bed. Also had bathroom with toilet & shower. Located at the end of the fjord amongst beautiful peaceful surroundings. While we were visiting the campsite was very empty. The cabin is on the edge of a field used for camping. There are also fixed caravans and main camping facilities (didn't need these as we had our own)
Review 10:Amazing place- around mountains and the door to fjord ....nature and silence....We have this pleasure to have beautyfull weather and all of stars on the sky were for us. Camping and people here were very cool.Good place.
Review 11:The linens provided (not for free) by the camping were very uncomfortable and itchy. They were made of papery-plasticky material but they cost the same as in other places we stayed at. If it was me, those kind of sheets would be free. The camping was more expensive than other places we stayed in but provided less services with less quality.
Review 12:The location is superb. Very close to an entrance to Handangervidda natural park and on a lake.
Review 13:Cabin was comfortable, nice.
Review 14:It would be nice if not only the small window (~20x120 cm) could be opened.
Review 15:The flexibility and helpfulness if the staff, the coziness of the house.
Review 16:lack of sink or any cooking facilities in the room. Can get around knives forks plates etc... but serious need of a sink and water.
Review 17:good location
Review 18:Location at edge of fjord, friendly, easy going but well kept.
Review 19:Self catering supplies were minimal but got the job done.
Review 20:Beautiful location and friendly staff. Simple accomodation for a good price.
Review 21:Good location and excellent view. Friendly staff.
Review 22:Location, landscape, easiness and casual approach of arrangements.
Review 23:location, nature, views
Review 24:The stunning view
Review 25:Location
Review 26:very beatiful place with a nice price!
Review 27:beautiful surroundings excellent staff, very cheerful
Review 28:Had to pay for warm water in showers and 100 nok per person for sheets- too much.
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:The location close to the lake is fantastic. A very good stop from Oslo to Bergen.
Review 31:Too old cabin and everything in it.
Review 32:There wasn't any dishes in the shared kichen.
Review 33:Location was amazing. We got the first house to the lake, so the view from terrace was beautiful.
