Right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, the Shuhokaku Kogetsu features outdoor hot-spring baths with lake views, traditional Kaiseki dinners in the privacy of guests’ rooms and a terrace with Mount Fuji views. The Japanese rooms all have views of the lake and Mt. Fuji.
Guests at the Shuhokaku Kogetsu Inn sleep in a traditional Japanese style, in futon beds on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Each air-conditioned room has a private bathroom, an LCD TV, and both central and window-side sitting areas.

Review 14：Since every tour and bus is at Kawaguchiko Station which you need to take 10 minutes hotel shuttle bus to there. Hotel bus is at half an hour frequency . You need to call the hotel for shuttle bus to pick you up after every tour at Kawaguchiko Station.

One of us allergic to seafood, they changed the menu immediatelyonce we told them. They picked us from kawaguchigo sation with in 10mins by a shuttle bus- free of charge. We enjoyed 24hr onsen serviceafter dinner till late night. Big breakast Buffett in western andJapanese style with a very good view of Fujisan

Review 38：An excellent hotel in general! In-room dining was served in a luxurious authentic Japanese style. Dinner is followed by a Bingo time at lobby! Onsen is available outdoor. Excellent Fuji view in the room. We are lucky enough to enjoy a sunny day that Fuji is right outside the window when we woke up. The buffet breakfast has a great variety, and a walk along the lakeside (in hotel area) is highly recommended!

The kaiseki meal was wonderful - we requested no seafood and they arranged an alternative menu for us. Our room attendant was great and so helpful. The onsen was great and we appreciated the beer afterwards (until 7pm) which was very welcome after a hot bath.

Review 44：There is no wifi in the rooms and you have to sit in the lobby/restaurant area, which is also where the smokers go to smoke. Also, strangely, even though it was a non-smoking room, at night, the smell of cigarettes wafted in through the aircon vents. The in-room meals tasted very average, though they looked very pretty, and overall felt a bit rushed.

Review 45：Waking up to the sight of Mount Fuji across the lake -- that was amazing. The onsen also had great views and the free beer outside it didn't hurt. Location is great for day trips around the area (we wanted to trek around Mount Fuji and visit the Shibazakura Festival). Staff was very helpful in arranging details of our train/coach tickets and suggesting the excellent Fujiyama Onsen nearby.

Not all the staff was english fluent, but definitely went out of their way to make sure you got what you needed. I requested a higher floor room for the view and it was ready when I got there.

Review 56：Nanaka was in charge of serving us during our stay, we should have stayed more than just 1 night! she was really friendly and cheerful, and able to converse in English. All the staff are helpful and you can feel they really enjoyed their job. Dinner was served in room (prepared by nanaka) and it was the best food i ever had during my Japan trip. Lost count of the amount of dishes served and do let them know if you have any food allergy, they will prepare something else (which is equally nice) Overall, i don't think i will stay elsewhere if i were to visit mount fuji the next time! Dinner was in room and the food are amazing and more then we expected. Breakfast host at the lobby restaurant with lots of choices. Review 75：Woke up early in the morning and amazed by the magnificent view of Fujisan. Everything in the hotel is perfect! Public onsen with great Fuji view, spacious Japanese room with Fuji view, friendly staffs, a variety of options for dinner and breakfast. The fall foliage near the hotel is very beautiful. I wish I could stay longer.

Although the communal baths are open all night until 09:00 the next morning, bath towels are not provided after 19:00. Guests who use the communal baths from 19:00 onwards, have to bring towels down from their own rooms.

Easy to get to from atokyo either by public transport or car, wonderful views of Fuji-san and friendly service, good food and lovely outdoor rotenburo. Review 82：We arrived at the KAWAGUTHIKO STATION and called the hotel, after about 10 mins, they came and caught us directly to the hotel which made us really convenient. We ordered the half board room, so we ate dinner in the room and breakfast is a buffet style at the restaurant on the 1st floor. Since we stayed for two nights, the staff asked us about what we wanna to have on the second day's dinner. They offered three different meals and you can choose one. About the onsen, it was wonderful, from the outside onsen, you can see Mt. Fuji if the weather is clear. And the hotel also has a shuttle bus service, you can ask the timetable and reserve it at front desk. The shuttle bus is go to the KAWAGUTHIKO STATION.
