Reviews for Eidfjord Hytter
Review 1:The staff were very welcoming to us. We were road tripping in our camper van and they allowed us to use their kitchen to cook our own food etc. We stayed the night in one of their B&B rooms and loved the decor etc - very quirky! The hotel is surrounded by raw nature and is simply incredible!
Review 2:Nothing
Review 3:Wonderful location, great food and service, the cabin was cozy. Yes, the bathroom and shower are located in a separate building for the cabins, but so what?!?! Very affordable and more of a genuine experience than being pampered in some 5 star hotel.
Review 4:The Location is really good. So you can go evrywhere from there. The stuff is amazing. The man is giving a short and very usefull hints. And me and my boyfriend got an extra room with doble beed inside the house, because there was noone there. So we had a cabine and a room for the same price. :) It was really nice tink to do. We had an amazing time there. Shorely recomendet.
Review 5:The washroom and wifi were only in the main building
Review 6:The owner of the hostel was very cooperative. He took us to the grocery shop on his car, provided us food and laundry free of charge.
Review 7:Old style rooms. Very basic. The main road is nearby and you cant access the water front by foot.
Review 8:Nice balcony, fjord view from window.easy to find by the main road
Review 9:Steen is very friendly and welcoming. The cabins are great as a cheaper option than staying in the B&B and you can still get the delicious breakfast!
Review 10:Showers (in the main building's cellar) were a bit annoying - one has to press the button and water flows for a short time. Wifi DOES NOT work in the huts, you have to get out to catch the signal.
Review 11:Fantastic view from the place, nice huts with electric kitchen, fridge and untensils. Clean and comfortable.
Review 12:do not forget to bring your linen or you have to pay for that. Not to mention you have to clean your room after your own stay. Do not forget it. Bathroom is located under the main house. If you are tall at night there is a great chance of bumping your had. Let's not talk about bed comfort. Isn't this the country of ikea? Please go buy a new bed!!!!
Review 13:The location was super. The lodges were nice and wifi was fast
Review 14:Wonderful location, fantastic views, clean, very comfy beds, fridge, good evening meal and very friendly staff. Great care taken to make the self catering cabins homely and comfortable. Very trusting owner - a great idea to leave the key in the door of available cabins so that late travellers can let themselves in and pay in the morning.
Review 15:Not well attended, disposable bed sheets, additional fee. No wifi in the cottage, no breakfast, have to clean yourself. Nothing to justify the price
Review 16:Location
Review 17:i cannot connect to the wifi from my cottage. You can only use it in the main house
Review 18:The host, Steen was really good and friendly. The location is nice since it is quite near to local town where you can buy groceries. If you are bacpacking and renting a car at that moment, this cottage suits you well.
Review 19:Bathrooms could be improved, but still were the best we found in all our trip (we visited 3 other campings).
Review 20:The owners take care of making your stay as confortable as possible. The house is really nice and charming.
Review 21:The Wi-fi doesn`t work well.
Review 22:The step was very kind and their local dinner was very delicious with a reasonable price. The hotel is located near the fall and very close to Eddyfjord, Sognefjord and Hadangerfjord. The bed, room and shared bathroom were very clean to use.
Review 23:Cabins are really small and you have to go out to the bathroom... but then again it's camping and a great value.
Review 24:Fantastic views right from the cabin. Charming old house with nice owner. Beds were comfortable. Fantastic value.
Review 25:There was no option for one full size bed. My husband and I had to sleep in separate twin beds, which was not our favorite. The internet was also only available by the big house. Not a huge deal as we weren't online much, but it was kind of inconvenient.
Review 26:The cottages were very functional and the location was really wonderful. It's close to everywhere we wanted to go, but it was beautiful enough in it's own right that we were happy to hang out there. We liked it alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review 27:The services (toilets and showers) are sufficiently clean and practical, with a lot of hooks and handles. But they are located about 100 meters away from the cabins. As long as there is good weather there are no problems. But if it rains it is not comfortable at all ...
Review 28:I slept in a cabin. The cabin is spacious, clean and with a kitchenette really practical. So I could cook my dinner and my breakfast too. In the case of "cold" there 's also a convenient stove.
Review 29:Very far from the town centre. If no car, need to take bus (kr31 one. Way). Need to bring our own bed sheet and pellow cover, otherwise need to buy one (kr70). Toilet and bathroom is a bit far from the room.
Review 30:Very beautiful scenic around. Price is OK.
Review 31:Very helpfull people!!
Review 32:Really enjoyed my stay in this property. Quite atmosphere, helpful staff, great views, nice veranda ....
Review 33:Hospitality, nice and warm service, cleanness, location, food, interior and exterior of the main house, reasonable price.
Review 34:The staff were extremely helpful and we're great people. They also played great music in the resturaunt!
Review 35:The cabin offered a good value stop over for a night but was rather basic. Easier than putting up a tent though.
Review 36:Great place in the center of mountains
Review 37:-bad wifi reception -bad soundproofing
Review 38:-great views.
Review 39:Noice from the road next to the cottages Toilet facilities
Review 40:nice location charming place
Review 41:Huts are very close to the main road, but thats a minor thing
Review 42:Location, nature, cute little huts, good wifi, great value for money
Review 43:Not being allowed to use the toilet inside the hostel
Review 44:Close to Vøringsfossen and nice scenery
Review 45:Such a beautiful location, great cabins, bathroom, and staff.
Review 46:distance of comfort rooms but tolerable
Review 47:location affordability restaurant
Review 48:Great, picturesque location. Cottages very clean and comfortable. Easy access from Eidfjord via public bus.
Review 49:no shower and no toilet in the room
Review 50:good service
Review 51:Simple cabin but quite ok
Review 52:nice decoration, friendly staff
Review 53:Distance to the bathrooms (depending on the cottage location) from 20 to 50 meters from the cottage. Bathroom placed in the main building (or rather in the cellar). It's a problem especially during cold morning, or evenings :) But in general acceptable :)
Review 54:Fantastic location between tall mountains and close to the lake. Cottages are clean and comfortable. Facilities in each cottage are very useful (small tarace with chairs, grill, electric cooker inside). The owners are very friendly, introduced the surroundings and advice where to go and what to see.
Review 55:Toilets and showers are cold. Cabins are close to the road and noise of cars may disturb you at night, if you are not tired after hiking.
Review 56:Design of the main building. Very cosy and traditional, restaurant and wifi are avaliable. Lots of hiking trails and amazing waterfall 10 minutes away.
Review 57:WiFi almost not working in the cabins, only in the main building.
Review 58:The staff was very nice.
Review 59:The owner is very friendly and wait for us until 23:00. The room has kitchen so that you can bring your own food and cook. I like it!:)
Review 60:Just several meters from the road with heavy traffic.
