Review 1：I got two rooms to stay for two nights. One was very expensive but it came with good view and facilities. Another one was just slightly cheaper but much worse environment. When you sat on the balcony to enjoy the lake view, it is full of tents and backpackers lying in front of you. Your curtain had to keep closed when lying on the bed. No privacy at all. WIFI was not free and one of the house needed to share kitchen with other backpackers though you paying two times more.

Review 10：Room overlooked the lake - stunning views set apart from campers. Had a bbq and tables next to motel rooms which overlooked a million dollar view! Excellent value for money.

Review 11：The only thing we didnt appreciate was the older rude lady with the attitude at reception- all we wanted to know was if u hire beach towls or where we could get one from and she said she didnt know n looked us up n down n wouldnt help us so cheers lady if you dont like simple questions get a new job.

Review 13：Both kitchens were very small to fit all people who wanted to cook their meals. Would be nice to double the size at least for peak times like XMAS. Also guys who came in to change gas bottles could have done it not early morning when I was asleep.

Review 17：The next day of our stay, we went to the reception area to check out what activities there were to do on our stay in Lake Tekapo. Unfortunately, we were rather taken aback with the poor attitudes of the reception staff that morning (28th Dec), who were clearly more interested in their own affairs than clarifying our doubts and queries.

Review 18：We reached the motel very late at night (~10pm) and we arrived on the other side (the one opp the YHA hostel), and we panicked when we couldn't find the reception desk. Fortunately, we got help from a couple staying there and they directed us to the right location where the reception is. It was very dark at night, and we were relieved that our keys were placed outside the reception for us to check in that night. Parking was a breeze, we could just directly park outside our room. Location is quite good as we were driving, and its a short 2-3min drive to town area. Our room was spacious, big with a sofa, and came with full kitchen facilities (really loved that we could cook!), and the TV was absolutely awesome! Had sports channels, and even Nat Geo, Discovery etc. Room was big and clean, toilet was basic but good enough for us.

Review 19：The mattresses are due for a change. Uncomfortable to sleep in as they were dipped in the centre. Bunk beds creaked a fair bit.

Review 20：The motel and holiday park was fully booked way ahead. We stayed in the ensuite cabin for 3 nights. Directly opposite the lake. Close to nature, trails and the town centre. Shared kitchen and BBQ areas were well maintained and cleaned every day.

Review 50：The view facing the mountains is ok, but there are better place offering better mountain view with slightly higher cost. The facility is sufficient. They provide cooking utensiles for every cabin which is very helpful.

Review 51：Location of our cabin was fantastic. We were directly across from the lake , Either sitting on the balcony or inside the cabin we could look straight across to the vista of the lake and mountains. Cabin was clean, bed comfortable with a large bathroom.

The apartment was large and comfortable, and had everything but it was very run down. Really needs a facelift, awning was falling off the front. We ended up going to Peppers for one night although it was probably not worth shifting as the room at Peppers was very small

We left our car beside of the room to have a good view of the beautiful lake tekapo but our neighbours just parked in front of our room...so no view at all for us :(( The motel should open spaces for parking sides beside of the bungalows.

Review 105：Whilst we were booked in a non-ensure unit, which was further away from the lake, we were able to upgrade for about $40. It was ice-cold out so we didn't want to have to shuffle back and forth to use the facilities. The room was well heated, stocked kitchen (pots/plated/cutlery) and had a premium view of the lake.

Review 115：Pictures showed a motel like room. Our room was a small cabin /shed. I had to reread booking to see this was what I really ordered. And it was ..BUT NO ONE expects plates and cutlery to be thrown in a bin. Disappointing on arrival. NOT do it again.

Review 116：The wifi did not work the entire time we were there. The stove had two elements (the big ones) that did not work properly either. As a family staying, we wish the toilet was separate to the bathroom so it could be used while another person was in the shower - this could easily be done in these apartments.

Review 123：Friendly helpful staff left our key out for us as we were delayed, we had a 2 Bedroom unit and when we arrived late at night in the snow with a baby and tired teenager were relieved to find the place warm and easy to find. I have read people complain about the units looking tired but the curtains and bedspreads had been updated and the couch in the lounge was new and comfortable with a flat screen tv. The kitchen and bathroom was dated but had everything we needed and we were able to cook for ourselves well with the supplied utensils and pans. Could do with a dish drawer. In minus x temperatures we were warm as there were plenty of heaters and electric blankets and everything worked well. The unit had great aspect to the sun and amazing views of the lake and hills. We loved every night there and wish we had stayed longer, will definitely book again.

Review 124：Inconsistent furnishing with quite a quality bed but kitchen facilities are pretty old and cheap (knife are almost useless). The toilet has a big glass window but missing curtain and there's no ventilation for shower.

Review 140：It was -4 when we stayed and the cabin is unsuitable to be inhabited during these kind of temperatures. The cabin is tiny, has slate windows and a gap in the door where wind can get through. Do not stay here in winter. The cabin was so cold is was marginally dangerous and the heater was on full capacity.
