Reviews for Kussharo Prince Hotel
Review 1:Expensive buffet, not really worth the cost. No wifi in rooms, only in public places.
Review 2:Friendly staff, very clean hotel with good sized rooms and a great onsen.
Review 3:1. Room size is too small 2. No bottle water provided and the kettle is too small(for one small cup) 3. Breakfast is too expensive
Review 4:Most of the staff can understand English
Review 5:The air condition is warm only, I wish I can choice warm or cold. But the staff lent me a 加濕器 to avoid the dry air.
Review 6:The space of the room is very large. The bed is also very comfortable. The view is good
Review 7:No alternative restaurants nearby. The buffet dinner is nice but not cheap. Crab legs are not as fresh as you would expect from a professional seafood restaurant.
Review 8:Jacuzzi in the bath room, nice view of the lake and walk way to the lake coast, buffet with unlimited 刺身丼 (Sashimi rice bowl) and crab legs
Review 9:Communication was a problem as the front desk staff cannot speak much English. The room was warm as in May there is no air-con, only heater. I have to request for a fan, which I have to explain to the front desk by drawing a picture of a fan and a lot of hand gestures before they understood my request. Then I had to carry the fan back to my room. Not exactly what I expected from the Prince Hotel group.
Review 10:The hotel was nice, and my friend and I came to the conclusion that it is popular with Singaporeans. The room size is reasonable, as expected in Japan.
Review 11:This hotel is very isolated and difficult to get to, especially if you don't have a car. As it turns out, the hotel does have a shuttle to the train station, but the shuttle isn't/wasn't announced on the hotel's website, where they advise you to take a taxi. We initially booked a room on the top floor, but none of those rooms had a double bed - the only ones with a double bed are the corner rooms, for which we needed to pay for an upgrade. Although all the rooms are oriented towards the lake, most of them don't actually have a view of the lake, because of the trees. The hotel doesn't make use of its location - for instance, there is no restaurant or terrasse available to the guests where you could sit and from which you could enjoy views of the lake. There is nothing near the hotel, and if you are there without a car, you feel pretty much cut off. The hotel doesn't even have a café where in the morning you might be able to get a cup of coffee.
Review 12:The nature around the hotel is beautiful. The hotel has a spa.
Review 13:Near the beautiful lake on a remote area is the hotel . The rooms are comfortable and have a large window with the lake view breakfast and dinner are tasty with a lot of variety. In the front miss Kanda was very helpful in English . I recommend this hotel .
Review 14:We cannot and do not complain about anything in particular. The location is somewhat remote but since we were heading to Shiretoko, we did not mind that. There are not many things to do around. As for the dinner: 4200 yen for one person seemed rather too much (though we did not go, so cannot say whether it is worth the price).
Review 15:superb view from the window very spacious room baby-cot 500 yen voucher to the restaurant/convenient store located at the hotel breakfast was OK free wi-fi at the lobby
Review 16:Mold in the bathroom. Simple fix, come on guys.
Review 17:Great location, good dining facilities. Good room size and comfortable.
Review 18:Dinner seems to be overpriced with 4200Y, we went to a nice family Restaurant nearby
Review 19:Very nice onsen
Review 20:Was relatively expensive for what you get (even in Japan). Could have offered wifi in the rooms or, at the least, not nickel and dime you for using their computer in the lobby. Dinner buffet was lacking in quality.
Review 21:Great onsen and nice location by the lakeside.
Review 22:It's a large hotel so it feels a bit impersonal.
Review 23:Location by the lake is very nice, the spa is well arranged
Review 24:No breakfast
Review 25:Good hotel, helpful staff, can communicate in English. Wonderful location overlooking Lake Kussharo.
