Review 1：The way to the beach seems straight, but you can't cross the railroad and have to go around to the crossing. Also the noise from the road can be loud.
Review 2：It is a spacious room with a huge and wonderful bathroom. The hotel is close to the highway

Review 5：we arrived late to Hokitika as we were driving from Queenstown. when we reached the hotel it was around 11pm, the reception was closed and when we rang the bell the lady who welcomed us told me off saying that we could have left queenstown earlier. I was very shocked by the way we were welcomed. not the best experience, will choose something different next time, even though the rooms were clean, but the customer service was pretty bad, we were very upset.
Review 6：The shower head in the bathroom is an issue if you are tall but otherwise we had a great stay.

Having the little fresh milk bottle for the tea and coffee was a helpful touch. Close to the town centre and around 10 minute walk to the glow worm caves. Perfect for a one night stopover.
Review 8：If it was possible it would have been great to have given priority to my wife's parents as they are 80yrs old and was not ideal having to walk up to the 1st floor.

Review 10：The beach-front was not too far away and we were able to find a lovely restaurant to have an evening meal. Also, across the road is a petrol station, handy for snacks etc. The unit was provided with a microwave, kettle, crockery etc and was nice & clean, with a comfortable bed.
Review 11：There is a group of people from two rooms chatting and laughing in the yard until 1:00 am. No hotel stuff to stop them! Didnot have a good rest at all!

Review 31：The willingness of the proprietors to go above and beyond what was expected. We were driven into town by the proprietor, given a local tour and our bags were carried not the travel centre. Exceptional service.

Review 48：This motel is on the main highway through Hokitika, but quiet even though convenient. It is a good drive from Nelson and the 2 glaciers but a very long way from Queenstown, which we did. There are good restaurants in town and the sunset and driftwood art on the beach was great fun. Recommend the Stella Cafe for dinner and the Clocktower Cafe for breakfast.

Review 55：We are actually not able to give an evaluation of the structure itself. This is because, due to a mistake -not depending on us - with the booking.com reservation process, we had a confirmation of a reservation that the hotel could not guarantee. We arrived late only to find out there was no room, in a place where everything was booked that night. But the owner proved to be so much helpful: she did not leave us alone with the problem, but actively solved the issue by providing us another accomodation at the same price. Furthermore the accomodation she provided was a luxury one. We really would like to thank that lady for the support and help she gave us in quite a complicated situation. With a manager like that the hotel will certainly be very good. Thanks again a lot!
Review 56：Close to town, walking distance. Beach/river and glow worms only a few minutes away. Motorbike rally on that weekend yet room was still pretty quiet even with the increased traffic, important with a young child. Will be back for sure.

Review 59：We stayed there only for one night and we enjoyed our stay. The room was modern, clean, comfy and had all the necessary facilities we needed (i.e. fridge, water cooker). The bathroom was also perfect! The location of the property was central and close to the petrol station which was very handy for us traveling by car. Overall, a nice stay! Thank you!

Review 61：Lovely powerful shower, and very comfortable bed. We slept like logs! All very clean and comfortable. Room was on the smaller side but cosy and enough space for the two of us. The owners were very helpful, thoughtful and accommodating and were able to help with all of our requests. We appreciated it greatly.
