Review 1：Room was not soundisolated.We felt as if cars went through room. 1. night no sleep Got new room 4th floor.Seemed to be quieter. 1:35 am fire broke out in front of hotel where electricity works were under construction in manhole. No staff at reception. 1:50 staff came back and tried being in panic to call someone responsable. 2:30 Staff of electricity company explained they could not do anything at night. Meanwhile hotel without electric power : no ac, no elevator, no light, no wifi, no fridge. 2:50 auxiliary power unit started just for emergency light. 3:00 fire started again. 3:10 fire brigade and police arrived,closed road and hotel guest were evacuated. 3:40 police and fire brigade reopened hotel. Still no electric power. 4:30 staff of electricity company started to repair damage. 2. night no sleep at all. No apologies or explanation from hotel staff. 17:00 pm shower cold, no wifi, bulb of lamp in room had not been replaced in spite of 3 x complaints. 3:00 am Air conditioning stopped working because again no power. 3.night only few hours sleep. 10:00 am We got new room in 5th floor. 10:00 pm works in front of hotel:dredging, milling, repairing electric cables,paving road until 2:00 am. 4.night few hours sleep, meanwhile we were completely exhausted. Next day they forgot to clean our room, no water pressure, wifi out of order. As manhole was not secured I stumbled over it and hurt my leg. All days: lady who served breakfast ignored guests was unfriendly and not polite. We asked manager to reduce roomrate due to all inconveniences. He told me that he could not decide and asked us to write a complaint to his mail address. He would transfer it to general manager. He did not give us mail address of his boss. We have been travelling since more than 40 years and never experienced such unorganised incompetent hotelstaff. This hotel is dangerous as nobody cares. Avoid this hotel.

Review 3：Bed has sand under the comforter for some reason and the room i was in (104) was sandy. During breakfast in the morning a cockroach crawled over my feet, lost my appetite entirely.
Review 4：Hotel was beautifully decorated, a certain cozy homey feeling to it.
Review 5：Internet was rubbish, if it is advertised as being accessible in all areas then it should be.I had to buy a SIM card . Staff never seemed happy, (except for the room cleaner) Breakfast was nothing to shout about.
Review 6：Good position for bus station to travel around the island. Close to the heritage site. Modern clean building with a good view of the ferry terminal and cruise ships coming and going.
Review 7：There was construction just behind the hotel, it was very noisy even at night time. The room was very dirty, lots of hair were everywhere. They didn't clean my room after the first night although I put "make up my room" sign. They cleaned my room upon my request but my toothbrush has been lost. Hairdryer was not working and I asked for the new one but waited for it 45 minutes in the small hotel. Staff were generally rude and surly. The breakfast was so weak and only for Asians.(some noodles and rice). I do not recommend this hotel.

Review 9：During my stay, the power supply broke down in the middle of the night but the immediate repair was not being done. My family and I had to sleep without air-conditioner or fan until the next morning. Very uncomfortable.
Review 10：No satellite TV. Renovation works ongoing. No power supply due to no proper safety. Cable sparking and no management to guide us. Whole night no air conditioning. No apologies from top management. Very disappointed

Review 13：The receptionists were nice. However, it was really difficult to communicate with one of them, since his English was really basic. There was another receptionist, who was new and when we wanted to pay by credit card, she didn't know how to charge for it.
Review 14：Location: this hotel is in the city centre; in front of the ferry and the bus station. The rooms are big and well equipped.
Review 15：Lamp didn't work in my room. Staff was informed but apparently didn't want to help. Told me the lamp light is not available in the hotel. But also they didn't buy one to change. There were some such problems during my stay. Staff friendly but still need a lot of training in customer service work. Some speak really poor english.

Review 17：Parking space is limited. I had to wait for a very long time to get my car because another car was blocking my car. But the hotel have later asked me to move out due to road repair and there's sufficient parking space not far from hotel, so it's ok.

Review 27：when we arrived and were shown to our rooms we unpacked and then found a housekeeping issue (it was not bed bugs, the place was clean). My wife went to reception to ask for the problem to be remedied. The housekeeping staff were just knocking off and flatly refused to fix it. we then had to repack and were shown to matching rooms on another floor. The shower was not warm. as it was a hot day we did not complain or say anything the next day. We had checked in on Wednesday nite and i told the guy at reception about it on Friday am as the shower was getting colder. Took a while to make him understand I was talking about the shower and not the kettle.Friday afternoon i asked what had been done about it and got a story about public holiday (Hari Raya). Saturday morning at about 10.00am i asked the guy again what was happening. he waffled on a bit which led me to believe he had done nothing. at that point Miss Nor came around the corner and advised that at 7.00am that morning she had called maintenance. Saturday afternoon we were told they had to call the contractor. when we checked out on Tuesday morning there was a note on the counter apologising for no hot water. Fawlty Towers was recalled a few times.
Review 28：This Hotel is located across the road from the bus terminal. Free shuttle buses run into the centre of Georgetown. Misses Nor and Chin at reception were excellent but some of the male staff were not so good. Breakfast was tailored to Asian guests and since they were about 95% of the guests that is fair enough. Western travellers should not expect it to be like home. we requested two rooms with an adjoining door as we were travelling as a family unit. the hotel was able to oblige. Street noise was not an issue but internally noise did travel and some other guests had no thought for those trying to sleep at 11.00pm to the point where we opened the door and told them to be quiet! We would stay there again if we return to Penang. The hotel has been operating for about 6 months and is a subsidiary of a large hotel at Butterworth on the mainland. most staff come over on the ferry each day. When they get sorted it will be a great little hotel (about 50 rooms). I think the breakfast restaurant could benefit from having an egg bar doing omelettes etc when the hotel is full. They were fully utilised in other hotels we stayed in during our trip and would help bridge the gap between food expectations.
Review 29：The location was away from the main part of Penang on a noisy street, it had no character, the staff were not helpful, there were no facilities, e.g. ice, the breakfast was terrible.

Review 46：Location, Spacious, Friendly Staff The main reason to stay at this hotel is the location. Just minutes walking to bus and ferry terminal. Front desk officer Chin is always helping. Spacious and clean room. Everything is in the room. I request for upper level for best view. Arrived early at 12 pm and called whether i can check in, they allowed me for early check in. Recommended!

Review 58：we could tell that the hotel was re-opening from improvements and possibly constructions as there was a lot of dust in the floor near the walls, bed tables and the windows parapets. Once in a while we found some ants here and there. The housekeepers were always in a rush to clean the rooms, even when we had the do not disturb sign in the door, but they only tide the bed, quite a shame as the place deserved better.
Review 59：Lovely staff and incredible facilities and decoration for a two stars hotel. Our room was in the 5th floor with an incredible view to the sea and the city. The decoration was very pleasant, cozy and modern. Very centred position and great to tourists as it has the local bus station in the other side of the road. The hotel was re-opened so we found every furniture and facilities brand new. The energy of the staff in the lobby is a bliss, they even had a dossier with tourist relevant information and they free upgraded our room reservation.
Review 60：Hotel doesnt provide parking & proper front cover. Eventhough nearby got public parking, but in the even of heavy rain, it will be difficult to check in/out with ur big luggage.
