Reviews for Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem
Review 1:The elevator wasnt directly at the room floor.
Review 2:Hotel has a special atmosphere, rooms are originally decorated in European metropolas style and evoke luxus and comfort for a very good price. Bathroom was atypically spacious. Employees at the reception were very cheerful and disposed (special breakfast package due to early leaving). Bar lady (at the Cuba Libre hotel bar) was very capable and made a special explication about the rum tasting and its preparation history).
Review 3:Our room in the attic had partly a ceiling too low
Review 4:The hotel is nicely built into an old part of the town (which is not fully renovated) Restaurant comprises a nice garden
Review 5:breakfast is really poor
Review 6:Location, apartment is newly renovated and the furniture is fancy, staff is polite and wiling to help, there is cool rum and cigars cafe downstairs (offers a complimentary drink)
Review 7:The breakfast it bit awkward experience. You have selection of few meals, you have to choose from. While Slovakia is not really well known for a haute cuisine, this was really poor quality in terms of both, ingredients and preparation. We managed to eat there only one or two days, and we gave up. The parking lot could be secured maybe.
Review 8:Location is awesome, really in the downtown and with parking. Lots of places to have a drinks around, we loved the place that was just cross the street. The rooms are big, and comfy. Late checking or checkout was not a problem.
Review 9:The breakfasts was inconsistent. One day we got to order my off the menu but the next day it was a poor buffet.
Review 10:The staff was very accommodating not, especially Natalie. It is also very centrally located in the city which is nice with free parking.
Review 11:It was extremely hard to find this hotel. We arrived in Presov by car late at night and likely would never have found the hotel if a friendly taxi driver hadn't offered to lead us to the parking lot.
Review 12:Beautiful, large room. We were given a free drink each in one of the hotel bars with check-in. The bartender was extremely friendly. Breakfast was offered at a nearby restaurant. It was a nice breakfast but limited in selection and quantity. Staff was very helpful but not overly friendly.
Review 13:- The breakfast is a la carte, not a buffet. Some guests might like to eat a lot of different foods for breakfast.
Review 14:- The wifi in the rooms is excellent! - There is a very nice bar under the hotel - The location of the hotel is good, very close to the city centre but still easy to reach by car
Review 15:- everything was fantastic
Review 16:- in the city centre, with one entrance right from hlavna street - very big rooms, tastefully decorated - very nice restaurant and rum bar in the hotel
Review 17:The price might be a bit too high.
Review 18:The location is perfect, also the parking is very close and free. The staff is very friendly and speaks fluently English.
Review 19:The fact that we had to leave so soon!...
Review 20:Good location, very quiet, clean and comfortable room, nice staff - special atmosphere reminding of the old times!...
Review 21:The bath was massive (enough for at least 2 people but unfortunately the speed of the water coming out the tap meant I probably could have started the bath before I went to bed and it would have been ready just in time for when I woke up. Shower was good though (just as well!)
Review 22:The rooms were huge they were almost like an apartment in themselves. They were clean and the beds were extreamly comfy.
Review 23:Everything was perfect. Location, right in town, hotel parking available, nice, reasonable restaurant on premises. Wonderful artwork in the rooms, tastefully decorated, spacious rooms.
Review 24:The only problem we really had was finding it initially( which was our fault for not using satnav! )This was due to the fact that although it has a entrance on the main pedestrian street the main enter acne was on a one way street at the back. Also personally I would have loved to be able to make a cup of tea in my room- but there were plenty of places to get one and very cheaply seen some comments about the food we found it okay.
Review 25:This was a reall beautiful hotel right in the centre of Presov. It was setback from the main(traffic free) road as it's restaurant was in front of the hotel in a separate building. The staff were very helpful even organising a taxi for as at 02:00 following a wedding in a village several miles away. Each room reflects the city it is named after which gives it a charming individual quirkiness.nwould definitely stay again.
Review 26:The hotel opens onto the Main Square so is in a great location. We had a special deal so our room was really spacious, the bed was comfortable, wifi was good and parking was easy. The Square was quiet on Saturday/Sunday but we thought it had a lovely feel.
Review 27:Amazing place to stay! They offer a laundry service which is very helpful as it's the last thing you want to do when on holiday!! Very friendly staff and all speak good English. Also in the town centre, I'd highly recommend this place to stay if you're visiting Prešov.
Review 28:No Air conditioning. loud music till midnight
Review 29:No working space -table. In single room
Review 30:Presov is not very touristic location
Review 31:ok hotel with good location in the heart of the city
Review 32:breakfast is served only after 9am on weekends
Review 33:friendly staff excellently appointed rooms central location
Review 34:Using the parking lot can be a challenge for North Americans using manual transmission cars. This is easily overcome.
Review 35:Staff made sure we were well cared for. One staff member arranged for a hairdresser on very short notice. This hotel is located right in the heart of the city.
Review 36:Had problems getting our computers to connect through wifi -- staff tried very hard to correct but still did not work well.
Review 37:The room and the services were great. We had lovely dinner party at the restaurant on Saturday evening. Enjoyed the patio for breakfast and lunch.
Review 38:When I was checking out, I was charged 20 euros more than my booking confirmation email indicated. When I objected, the amount was corrected immediately, without even me having to show the confirmation email. This left a bad impression, as if they were just trying if they can charge me more. The breakfast is not served as a buffet, you have to chose something from a menu (not a really good choice) and you wait and wait....
Review 39:the room was big and quiet
Review 40:If I had to criticize, the breakfast buffet could be improved in variety.
Review 41:The staffs welcomed me with warm hospitality. The room was spacious and clean while remaining atmosphere of the original historic building.
Review 42:No internet point. The bright room was bright on the inside but in a dark area of hotel.
Review 43:Downtown location right on square. Luxury modern conversion of old quarter. sunny lounge. Free secure parking
Review 44:I was in a "studio", which had a funny layout. The room was not in the main hotel but in a covered outside corridor between the hotel and the outdoor terrace, so there was a lot of foot traffic right outside the door. The configuration was two steps up from an anteroom, then a big bedroom with a bar, then three steps down to the bathroom. No railings on any of the steps.
Review 45:The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was right across from the historic part of Presov. The restaurant was very good. Fabulous shower!
Review 46:Very friendly staff, beautiful location. Apartment and bathroom were spacious, well-equipped. Quiet place, though very close to beautiful old town centre. Breakfast on weekends is served only from 9 a.m., but they prepared a good coffee on site and a breakfast-to-go as I had to leave early.
Review 47:To get to the hotel, the main entrance is off a one way street parallel to the main square. If you miss the hotel, you get to go around to block again. You have to carry your baggage up 8 steps to get to the lobby.
Review 48:The location was spectacular, literally on the main square - you had to walk through the beautiful garden and restaurant to get to the town square. The chef at the restaurant on site was excellent. Note to all - Monday through Friday, they serve a daily menu at lunch - 3.60Euros for soup and one of 6 main courses which include Slovak specialties. A gem - includes on site secured parking ie. the gate is locked at night.
Review 49:first room we were allocated was not cleaned properly. Hairs present under pillows and spider net on visible and easily accessible places. Staff was understanding and quickly moved us to other room well cleaned.
Review 50:position Design rooms
Review 51:breakfast
Review 52:It was a perfect combination of old and modern. The staff was both friendly and helpful.
Review 53:Nothing in particular.
Review 54:Restaurant. Breakfast. Location. Second Stay. Returned because we liked it.
Review 55:no free parking place available, relatively expensive meal was poor
Review 56:Nice design, quiet room
Review 57:Location was good, the staff friendly and rooms quiet.
