Review 1：The rooms were dark and dingy with electric wires over balcony and we couldn't sit on toilet properly as it was under handbasin. Wifi was only in restricted lobby areas.Food was very unappealing in restaurant. I killed 3 cockroaches in bathroom and light blew out after 3 days. Shower hook was broken and tv didn't work either even after staff tried to fix it. Entertainment was limited to family and children with no live music or shows. There were stains on sheets and towels.Some of the other guests were loud and impolite and drunk and the public toilets on ground floor were rather unsanitary. Lifts didn't always work and sun only came onto pool area for several hours in morning.

Review 2：Seeing Malta and its sights for the first time. All the English food available in shops. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 3：No telephone in room. Reception tells me "no rooms have phones", I told her "your website advertises the rooms have telephones in". 2 receptionist just look at each other, no response to that. Other guests said they had a phone in their rooms. The bathroom tiles, shower & curtain was dirty, broken patio door, no tv remote. Got door fixed same day & tv remote with tape holding batteries in was given same day.My room was freezing, requested to move next morning from arrival, but refused. Told heating would b "looked in to", nothing happened. Others guest were complaining 2 me their room was cold. They complained but nothing.I woke one morning to discover water from the door to my bed, so I opened my door to investigate where the water was coming from, (as nothing obvious leaking in my room), I cannot ring reception (no phone). As I'm puttingmy slippwrs in 2 go to reception, a girl arrives from nowhere carrying a bucket, mop & floor squeegy, (not the usual chambermaid). She cleaned the water away & no explanation for it. She looks puzzled too, so was the receptionist, what a surprise. Yet I see the same girl with same bucket etc walking around the hotel floors checking around the same morning.I had no bath towel for 3 days. Reception says "no one has them. Place where towels r sent for cleaning is closed", yet other guests say they have towels. I went to Mosta Market last Monday & bought my own towel.Last week I start with bugs in the bathroom, but I never bothered complaining, what would have been the point?Disgusting service and the hotel. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone else. A big shock as I stayed there 18 years ago, it was a nice hotel then. Now it has badly decorated walls, dirty air conditioning vents, no carpets, doors slamming all the time, I was woken by young lads screaming, cases being dragged across the floors, on a regular basis.

The first night i was in the room 209 but when I asked to the receptionist Mariarita to have a room quiered she was lovely and very helpfull. Friendly staff, good position, what else?

Review 14：The cleanless of the entire property is really bad, they cleaned the room on every second day, we stayed 4 nights over there and our room was cleaned only once. The reception desk said that it was mentioned in the description, I double checked it on the booking.com and on the hotel website as well, but I did not find anything about it. The cleanless of the public toilet in the lobby area was terrible as well. We paid a room with half board, but at the end we had only one breakfast and one dinner in the hotel, as the quality of the food was really not acceptable.

Review 17：i have been visiting this hotel on many occasions,3 times with the current new owners. my daughter who is 12, always went for free,however this time the new manager made me pay for her meals insisting that only the bed was free. for me this was disappointing and new as i always booked on half board and as the regulations say that children up to 13 years go free.

Review 19：This is definitely not a 3 stars hotel!!! Its an old one, communist with old furniture and bathrooms design. The food is disgusting! Breakfast is English every day and very poor. They have rooms with no ac. The ac doesn't work in the dining area, only huge, noisy fans..,it's a sauna. Pool smells like a dam. Wifi doesn't work!!

Review 21：Rooms very bad, I don't mind for the old furniture like the 80s, the beds were good you can sleep good in them, but the bad finish on the walls, bad bathtubs, we have to change 4 rooms until we found a clean one, and the doors of the balcony weren't opening properly, in every room there was something missing fan ( and it it was it had dirt on the fan) or TV or mirror (instead of the mirror it was a empty plywood with hand pencil hand writing) there was hair in the bed the (I don't know who's ) sheets looked clean. I think just the first half of the hotel is renovated until 3rd floor. WiFi just at the reception and even there it wasn't working good, difficult to connect, WiFi at the swimming pool was working good. I'm disappointed the hotel has potential but I wont go again there, I won't recommend to anyone especially with infant. It wasn't the cheapest hotel in Malta! and there was no vacancies in Bugibba so we had to stay. If they put a little effort and some money it will be OK for next year.

Review 22：The swimming pools are OK. They delivered cot for the baby very fast, even before we got to the room. Air conditioning is working good but you have just on/off option and it's directed strait to the bed. We had to turn it off when we were in the room. Fridge and cooker and cattle were in good condition. The street is full with cars but we were allowed to park in the front of the reception in the loading area and it was handy.

Review 25：What do people complaint about ? We had a studio and it was big enough for 3 of us. Comfortable. Clean. Kitchen was well equipped. View on the swimming pool side. The inside swimming pool was great. The staff polite and helpful. It is not high standard but it is great value for money. We had a good time there. Bus terminal is 10 min walk.

Review 26：We had been overbooked so they stuck us in a fifth floor room without a balcony, no telephone, tv didn't work, no running water, no towels and we had to ask for two additional pillows. Eventually we had to ask for a room change. Staff are mostly foreign and lack experience and good manners. We had three previous stays and were satisfied but now we would not dream of ever booking this hotel

The AC was not functioning either as it was on for several minutes and there was no change in room temperature. Dinner was an issue too. The type of food was not presentable and was not fresh.

Aditionally no changed towles for the two days and a bathroom floor dirty from the shoes of the (unsuccessful) repairman (!). To our complaints at the check out we were smoothly appologized - not more. The least would have been any kind of tried compensation ... but nothing. Well, we are positively thinking people, so lets hope for the better for your house's future.

Review 34：The room was not ready on arrival and after 2 hours given another room.The lift was not working had to use an alternate lift at other end ofcorridor, not very convenient. Later on first day the alternate liftstopped working and was not repaired until late evening on the secondday. Woekn up at 9 am sunday morning with workmen drilling holes in thewall adjoining my room. Next morning at 8 am the same was repeated. Onthe last evening there was no water sipply. Restored late at night andagain there was no water supply in the morning and was u able to have awash or a shower before I left. THERE were also a very high number ofcomplaints along the same lines. In my opinion there seemed to be a lackof management of the whole complex and not enough staff

Review 40：We entered the apartment and a guy was in our kitchen fixing the sink, in the living room it was full of pieces of glass from the table that was broken, and to clean that up they sent a guy with a sweep.They do not inform that you have to pay 50 euros once you do the check in, they give that money back if you don;t break anything in the room.

Review 42：The room floor was dirty and it was never cleaned during a week. Therewas a clogged sink drain that took them 3 days to fix! I had to reportit 6 times in order for this be fixed. The cold water was out from theevening of one day until the noon of the next. So no toilet andpractically no shower, since warm water was too warm to use on its own.The aircondition (that was paid for as part of the room price) wasbroken. There were cockroaches here and there in the hotel. Most of thepeople working there were not polite and didn't really want to helpyou with anything. Thankfully there were some exceptions to this. Thewhole hotel (infrastructure, facilities) is really old and stuff tend tobreak down E.G. elevator. There is free wifi at the reception area andthe pool area, but it doesn't always work (probably it cannot servethe amount of people that are trying to use it). Breakfast is of reallylow quality.

Review 58：Everything in the bathroom looks like it could break down any second (water only drips from the shower). Appartment was cleaned once (on the second day) during our five day stay. Sleeping with the windows open is not recommended due to incredibly noisy AC-units on the outside and the penetrating smell of food/breakfast being prepared in the morning. Indoor pool is unheated and looks like it hasn't been used since it opened 15 years ago. Wifi is only free in the lobby, where it's incredibly slow.

Review 59：We managed to pick up a good deal and weren't expecting much of The Bugibba. Overall: considering the price it was actually okay (if you're away during the daytime and are only there to sleep). 3-room appartment was quite spacious. Interior is, as has been remarked by multiple reviewers, a bit rundown (especially the bathroom), but it's not dirty. Nice big fridge in the (well-equipped) kitchen. Location is allright, about 10 mins on foot to city center or bus station. Staff was pretty friendly.

I had to go to Reception each evening to get one and was often handed just a hand towel. I also purchased the optional tea tray and had to plead every day to get tea bags. Poor customer service

Hotel is very central, 5 mins away from the shops, main square and rocky beaches. - Although the Bugibba/St. Pawl il-bahar (St. Paul's Bay) area is an hour away by bus from Valletta, 20min to St. Julian and 35min to Mdina and Rabat, it is crowded with shops and restaurants which make it a proper holiday destination.

Review 97：We've spent 7 nights there and during the day we were touring around the island. The Hotel is excellent if You're about to get good sleep and go for a trip during the day. Rooms very simple, quite dark, quite comfortable beds, cleaned every day. Breakfast very simple but good enough so You won't be hungry (and there was no problem to prepare youself some sandwitches for a take away) also the dinner simple but always can find something good to eat. At 9PM there're some singing enttertainment next to the pool, so You can grab a dring and listen to the music. Swimmingpool not bad, always some free beds.I've seen a cockroach twice at the swimmingpool area at night, but that's all. About 7minutes walk to the bus station and the same to the nearest square and rocky beach. It takes about an 1,5h to get there b bus from the airport. In the summary if You don't excpect luxury and want to visit the island through Your stay it's a good place to stay.

Review 99：Ordered a double room, found a twin room. We ended joining the mattresses together ourselves after calling reception and no one came... After that, we called another 3 times so they can bring double bed sheets instead of single ones, and in the last one I also expressed my wish to have a nap before going out and needed the sheets asap afther 3 hours... No one cared, we slept with single bed sheets during the night and got the sheets the morning after we saw the room service lady... The air-condition was malfunctioned, when we turned it on we found that water was dropping all over, we called for the maintenance guy three times, even saw him on the floor before we went out, and they sent him to check it out after I went down to the reception complaining once again. They told us they will check it again the following morning, at 11 o' clock, and without any surprise, no one came... They came back only after my girlfriend went to reception to complain once again... They came back and told us they had fixed the air-condition,and to our amazement the aircondition only works between 3pm and 12am approx... Nothing was mentioned in the reviews that the air-conditioning system would be on only for a few hours, and in reality it was not an air condition, it was only a fan... They also gave us a fan on our request and it was very very dirty... At the end of this nightmare, we went to checkout, and the only thing they had replied was, DONE, they didn't even bother to ask how did the weekend go... Very disappointing experience.

Review 100：The Wi-fi was not free, and it barely even worked in my room. When I asked the staff at the reception about this, they only told me "you have to go somewhere else in the hotel". As a result, I often had to sit in the hallway outside my room when I used my laptop. The lunch and the breakfast buffet were a bit lackluster, but I guess that's quite common for All Inclusive deals. Generally, the staff seemed confused and inexperienced at times, but at least they were friendly most of the time.

Snacks are available from 10:00 until 23:00.Please note that the indoor pool is not heated.
