Review 1：everything. Though the hotel at the end reimburse us for the inconveniences caused to all of us however it was just not good. - when we got there at 6:30pm one of the units wasn't ready. we had a 9 months old baby with us. not good. The other unit was only available at 7:30pm. -Dishwasher wasn't clean. Full of rices and rubbishes. We had to contact the front desk to come and clean. -We booked 2 bedrooms for 2 nights. They locked the ensuite so 4 of us (2 couples) had to share one bathroom where as the other unit they didn't lock the ensuite. Not consistent to all their customers. - I would prefer to stay at Peppers (though it's under the same management). My friends who stayed there a week earlier had a good time.

Review 2：Big concern is: the staff ask all your credit card details(pan, expiry date, cvv), and fill in a paper form. it is mandatory. it is not secure!! Can be easily copied by somebody. Also the rubbish bin was not empty or cleaned when checked in.

Review 9：This holiday home (no 6) took our breath away. We loved the spaciousness of the 2 storey home with its own fireplace (it actually worked) in the living room. The beds in the two bedrooms upstairs were comfortable. The washer and dryer were accessible via the car garage. Great for family . Location was excellent. We were within walking distance of the town centre ( we actually walked back after our stargazing tour)! The lake tekapo was within a 5 min drive away. Only wished we spent our Christmas here. One night was just too short for this lovely home.

Review 10：Our kitchen was missing nearly all of its bowls and plates. I asked reception to organise replenishing our stocks, which they said they'd do, but didn't. I ended up having to chase up housekeeping as they were leaving for the afternoon.

Review 22：Notwithstanding that they have misleading advertising, the place is a mess. I suspect no Mantra management have actually been to this place. The reception is open from 9.00 - 5.00. Hello, this is 2015, not 1951, where basic hospitality principals should apply. What planet are the management of this establishment on? Putting a sign on the door telling people to go to their other property is so disrespectful. It was shabby. The furniture was old and tired, ripped sofas, no furniture on the balcony, only 1 side light for a double bed, lights that didn't work, that only needed new bulbs, sinks and heaters coming away from the walls, I could go on and on. I pointed just some of these issues out to the 'manager', who coo'ed in a very sympathetic way, and did change some light bulbs but that was it. They charge for internet that drops out and the TV reception was absolutely hopeless. I understand that Lake Tekapo is remote, but we come from Australia, we understand remote, but no where did it say this might happen. There is a pool and spa that clearly states are available from early morning until late evening (10.00 I believe) but the cover was put on the pool at about 7.30 one evening, so when 3 young men wanted to have a swim, they found the pool essentially out of action. It would appear to have been for the convenience of staff rather than guests, which pretty much sums up how this place was being run. Are apartment was supposed to be serviced every day. We were staying for 3 nights and we got back one day at 5.50 and they had not serviced it, but the 'cleaners' who were 2 young men who seemed more interested in driving round the very small complex in the golf buggy, then came in and did a 2 minute 'service' which meant they didn't remove used towels or replenish the tea and coffee. On a scale of 1 -10 this rates as 1. The absolute worst Mantra I have ever stayed at.

Review 26：The place was in poor repair, cracked glass window, dents in walls and marked paintwork. It was a new building but it looked poorly constructed. Sink was large with some small crazes but nowhere to put toiletries. I found a couple of long black hairs in my towel. There was no hand towel to dry hands on in downstairs powder room. Pool hours said open till 10 pm but the cover was put on at 7pm.

Review 49：Our stay at the Mantra was perfect even without the lake views and wifi. The apartments are very spacious and warm, and we appreciated the little things that made our stay so much more comfortable - laundry and drier, internal access garage, own backyard with outdoor table & chairs, etc. Sanjay was of course very pleasant and we felt very welcomed. At the end of our stay I was determined to bring family and friends back here as it was perfect for groups. I have never felt so satisfied with an accommodation provider like Mantra!

The furnitures have pretty exterior,yet we are worry about their quality because when my mum put a wet towel on a cabinet, the surface of cabinet lost colour and made the towel turn brown. Another problem is that there were many insects (i think they were white ants) at night.

Missing stove knob; holes in walls, no dish soap or tea towels - the list is much longer.

He said customers also need to pay extra 2% using credit card in Shangri-la China when I asked why they charge extra 2%.

Review 102：There was plenty of opportunity for cooking great meals here... Except that the utensils provided were woefully inadequate. Given that there was an oven you would expect a baking tray, NO! There were not even oven shelves, and then there was no frying pan for the cooktop. The veggie peeler provided wouldn't peel anything and as for cutting knives... As overseas travellers who couldn't really bring many cooking utensils with us, what was provided here disappointed us greatly, given the tariff that we paid and the write up of facilities available.

Review 109：Disappointingly from the moment we entered the accomodation we were greeted by an overwhelming stale/musty odour. After a long drive up from Milford Sounds we wanted a cuppa and there was no sugar in the kitechen. The stove was faulty and the iginition striker kepting going off. We had to turn off the exhaust to get rid of the niose from the striker. The matresses in the property are simply far past their use by date and very very uncomfortable. The pool was not heated, no Wifi and most of all it is located in a rather secluded part of Lake Tekapo with no views what so ever. Shame we may as well have stayed in a Holiday Park. Really need to lift you game Mantra Lake Takapo.

We even found a furnace in the living room. All was too good for the price. We arrived late and what a pity we only stayed there for one night!
