Reviews for Discovery Holiday Parks - Barossa Valley

Review 1:Cleanliness was shameful. Food wasn't cleaned properly off of the table, placemats and chairs, so there were at least a hundred ants on it when we arrived. BBQ had not been cleaned in years, so we had to spend 20 minutes cleaning it before using it. We didn't eat outside because we couldn't be bothered to clean the patio furniture. The dishwasher didn't work properly and was filled with ants. Any unsealed packages of food were quickly filled with ants.

Review 2:Apartment well located and well equipped.

Review 3:Due to a late change in plans we took a Budget Cabin with no ensuite. While clean, the cabin was very tired & old. These cabins need renewing.

Review 4:We've stayed there before & love the location, sites & staff are always friendly.

Review 5:Deluxe Two bedroom cabin, bathroom size inadequate for mature age guests. Cold at night, bedding in second bedroom uncomfortable. Advertising on site did not fit the location.

Review 6:Friendly staff at checkin. Quite location.

Review 7:Bad wifi connection even though I paid extra for it.

Review 8:The quietness, so were able to get sleep. Also the closeness to Tununda's main shopping street.

Review 9:we stayed in the budget cabin and got exactly what we expected for a budget cabin. Not impressed but not disappointed

Review 10:Quiet, good location, good air conditioning

Review 11:The house was in desperate need of a good clean, the bbq & oven were too dirty to use. Windows & blinds were also very dirty. A lot of maintenance is also required.

Review 12:The location was great & the house had everything you require.

Review 13:Not having the gate code to exit to main street (was on paperwork left with wife). This info would be best to have on the room key as i had to walk around main enterance and was late for dinner booking!

Review 14:Cabin was basic but clean and close to the shower block which was tidy and well presented

Review 15:The bunk beds/mattress in the budget cabins were not comfortable at all. (They are a foam rubber?) The cabin is extremely small and has no ensuite. Not acceptable for the price. Would have got a motel room for less.

Review 16:We don't stay very often in caravan parks but this is a good location and a very quiet park in the centre of the wine region.

Review 17:I booked 2 cabins a superior and a budget and I thought in comparision the budget cabin was over priced.

Review 18:I liked the location and the staff were lovely.

Review 19:Booking thro' Booking.com & Barossa was too complicated re persons accommodated & cost. We were not told we were not allowed to move family members within the accommodation booked. This meant we were charged for 2 extra people for 2 nights.

Review 20:The location

Review 21:Staff were friendly and helped us check in after hours. Location was fabulous, we walked back after dinner in town. Standard of the cabin was great, toilet & shower block very clean & modern.

Review 22:Cabin is a bit old but it was clean and comfortable and fine for the price.

Review 23:Kitchenette had all we needed, toilet block was close and clean, cabin was cheap and location was super cnvenient for our Barossa overnight stay.

Review 24:Both the powerpoints in the kitchen were behind the microwave. Hard to access. Had to make toast on top of microwave which is dangerous and boil the kettle in the bathroom. Had to be a contortionist to get to the toilet paper when sitting on the loo. Dirt and dust under bed in main bedroom. Had to get under there to plug in electric blanket and phone charger. This was cabin number 28. Obviously designed by a man with no idea how things should work. Very inconvenient.

Review 25:Location

Review 26:Only problem was with original booking (with booking.com) which appeared to suggest the cost quoted was for accom for up to 6 people when in fact cost was decided by number of people staying not cost of the villa regardless resulting in extra cost.

Review 27:Quality of accommodation was superb and a couple of minor problems were rectified within an very short time by a very pleasant staff member.

Review 28:There was not a soap holder in the shower that was the only small negative thing I found and it wasn't really a problem.

Review 29:The villa was modern, large, and extremely well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. With two living areas it was perfect as we were not on top of each other. Three TVs meant there were no arguments. There was everything we could possibly need in the kitchen and laundry including a BBQ and outside dining area. We will be back.

Review 30:Basic cabin as name suggests, beds and chairs a bit uncomfortable, but what we expected.

Review 31:For long weekend they had a waterslide set up, outdoor movies at night for kids. Lots of kids made it fun for our 2. The bathroom block nearest to our cabin looked newly refurbished and was very clean

Review 32:We had to pay for an upgrade as the cabin for 4 retired ladies consisted of 2 sets of bunk beds with no toilet or washing facilities.

Review 33:They were able to put us in a better cabin with 2 bedrooms and living space.

Review 34:there were some European wasps buzzing around the swimming pool.

Review 35:the general demeanour of the staff was excellent and the facilities and site were clean and well presented

Review 36:Street name & number not so easy to find due to Council name change! GPS doesn't recognise either! But ask friendly locals! Regards and thank you Neville Charmaine & Richard

Review 37:Our 3 bed accommodation was awesome even though only two of us! Manager was so friendly and accommodating. Clean with modern facilities!

Review 38:Too far away from our villa for the amenities for the grandchildren. All amenities are on the far northern end. The water slide surrounds were disgustingly smelly and unhealthy. Should have been closed for safety reasons. Hence we would not let the grandkids go on it,

Review 39:The comfort of the modern villa and certainly the air conditioning in the extreme temperatures we experienced while there.
