Review 1：Food was nice, but not up to the standard of this awesome location.

Review 2：Great staff, awesome location, clean, just memorable! Lovely pool and beautiful swimming. Loved the paddle boards and trips across to the island. Staff do a top job.

Review 3：Mosquitos. Behind the hotel is a large pond of stagnant water which is a breeding ground for mosquitos meaning they are everywhere. upon check in we were warned to wear coconut oil to protect against sand flies, although this is a Koh Mak island problem and not exclusive to Seavana. Paying this amount for a hotel should mean hot water is always available...it wasn't :(

Review 4：LOVED all of the staff! Friendliest group of people I've encountered for a long time in an establishment. Even after we had checked out two days earlier, we visited the restaurant (which has delicious food) and were greeted personally by name. Small touches like this go a long way. It's obvious that the staff enjoy working here which makes a huge difference to the overall experience of guests. Well done Seavana for getting hotel hospitality just right.

Review 5：Our only issue is that the rumors of sand flies on the beach are true. Bring Off or other deet heavy bug spray, or buy it from the reception when you arrive. We kept Off on most of the time, but when we didn't, we got bit a few times each. I know its a problem bigger than just Seavana, but it would be really nice to find a way to eliminate the sand flies, it kind of sucks not to be able to keep the doors and windows open for fear of the flies coming in. We also encountered a few sand flies in the back near our outdoor bathtub but once in the tub they didn't bother us. But seriously, other than the files, which are easily kept away with bug spray, our stay was amazing. Seavana is pricey compared to other places, but well worth it.

Review 6：We drove around to check out some other resorts, and there are a few other nice ones, but Seavana is the best on Koh Mak, no doubt. We arranged the speed boat from the mainland to Koh Mak thru Seavana, and everything went smoothly. The ticket guy knew my name and handed us tickets as soon as I stepped out of the car, and when we arrived on Koh Mak, Seavana had a truck waiting to take us to the resort. All around great staff who are very nice and helpful. Amazing room and personal rooftop, both with great views of the ocean. (we stayed in the beachfront suite S1). Seavana seems to cater to couples and families. The vibe is quiet, chill and laid back and even when most rooms are full, it still feels very personal and private. We've read some comments that the food at the restaurant isn't great, however, I would say it is quite good. The free breakfast is average but the menu for lunch and dinner is really good if you stick to the Thai food (we didn't try the western food). Definitely check out the small island that Seavana faces. The beach there is amazing and fly free. 30min kayak or quick boat ride. If you're going to Koh Mak, you really can't go wrong with Seavana.

Review 10：The staff is extremely friendly, I travel since 5 years through Thailandand live here since 2 years but never I see so friendly and nice peoplethen in Seavana. Even the hotel was fully booked, you be alone at thebeach, it's very quiet. Perfect for relaxing. The rooms are verynice. Had some mosquitos but not too much but if is getting more youhave a mosquito net in every room. They clean the resoort and the beacheveryday. Looks very good. No Chinese and Russians there-perfect :)

Review 12：What was not to like! Very kind staff, always smiling and very sweet to our boy Sem. They even whatched over him, so my husband and I could have a romantic dinner. The best Food we ate in Thailand. All fresh and from there own garden. The view!! Large rooms with even bigger bathroom and so clean. We LOVED this place!!

Review 17：The beach is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and have a Nice view. The beds are not to hard, and the shower is on a good height (for tall people). Also the staff is verry friendly. The restaurant is a little bit 'expensive' (for two people you pay around 550/600 baht) compared to restaurants on the mainland but the food is verry good so it is not a problem. Overall a verry Nice hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

Review 34：If you have a chance book one of the six Seaview Villas. We stayed in No.1 and 2. You wake up in the morning with the amazing view of the sea and Koh Kham Island. Just 10 metres from the sea. Your private jacuzzi at the back of the villa plus a terrace with pouffes / bean bag beds / and chairs to observe beautiful sunsets. Complimentary mini bar every day - 2 cans of coke, 2 bottles of water and 2 small cartons of milk. Great massages - go for Tookie - she is absolutely fantastic. Very nice staff - especially Jeem at the Reception and Aye the waiter. Great food in the restaurant - fried vegetables, Pad Thai with shrimps, chicken with fried cashew nuts, Tom Ka soup with coconut milk, lemongrass tree and bamboo shoots. Sandflies are not a problem if you use the repellent. Crystal clear water with very good visibility for snorkelling / coral reef about 100 m from the beach - we saw an octopus, big crabs, pufferfish etc.

Review 35：Everything beautiful, from the room (very cleaned, big and comfortable) to the beach. Breakfast good, best coffee I had in Thailand. I liked the free transportation from and to the pier. Staff always smiling and helpful. I would return there!

Review 44：The island is a wonderful remote place for an undisturbed stay far away from the busy world. And within the island Seavana seems to be the best choice, especially the beach front villas where you have your own private beach in front of the house. The restaurant of the resort is fabulous. We wanted to try other places but in the end we just stayed for lunch and dinner as we were so happy with the excellent food and service. For those who are interested how thai food is prepared, I would recommend to book the half day cooking course of Leng. I was a bit concerned about sandflies, but in the end it was not an issue, even without protection. The trick is not to lay down in the sand at the beach.

Review 45：In general they have problems with sandflies.But you can help it with repellant. Furthermore you are in Asia. So it's normal to have more insects than elsewhere.

Review 51：This is our 3rd time on Koh Mak and our seeing stay at Seavana resort. It is a quiet and clean resort on the nicest beach on the island. The villa room that we had was great and the cleaning staff do a great job of trying to keep it clean and bug free. The restaurant had improved since our last visit as the waiting time for food was much more reasonable. The staff are polite and helpful. The swimming pool is lovely as well.

Review 54：The staff is very friendly and helpful. No matter what kind of concern you have or who you talk to, everybody tries to make your stay perfect. Also a very catching peaceful atmosphere among the employees. The food is delicious and cheap, every dish is decorated cute. The restaurant is quiet and beautiful. The room (Superior Double Room with Spa Bath) was cleaned everyday and was in a very good condition. Its lovely interior and the jacuzzi made it easy to tide over the rain (we stayed during low season so it rained like 1-2 hours a day in average). The kayak, the bicycle and the motorbike (for rent) are a great opportunity to discover the island or its surrounding. As conclusion: If you just want to have some time for yourself without being disturbed by some traffic or anything else stressful, Seavana Koh Mak Resort is the place to be! I will definitely go back there. I had a great time with my significant other and enjoyed every single minute.

Review 55：There is a bad smell comming up the toilet which is not very nice. We had no experiences with sandflies before our stay and you should not underestimate this.they were really getting on our nervs.

Review 58：The resort was such a surprise treat during the rainy season. Considering the low development on the island, the resort is equipped with the essentials and some extras. Well coverage WiFi even in the farthest room to the resort main building we stayed in. Free kayak to Koh Kham island right in front was such a bliss. Be sure to have 100 baht and snorkel gear when on board Koh Kham, you will not regret. The resort has reasonably new swimming pool, facilities such as library, and guest rooms. Although I doubt it if this is due to maintenance of the resort, over the years it will be run down, just like others local resorts on the island. Well maintained is not a word in a dictionary here. The staff at the front office are reasonably nice and pleasant. Though, not the staff at the restaurant who seem to be lazying around all day. We were there for 3 nights and everyday they presented empty 'Thai seasoning' utensils. Impressed by breakfast served by the resort. Don't order pancake though, cold as ice ;-)

Review 113：The beach is absolutely beautiful - but not that great for swimming. It is quite shallow for a long way out and rocky. BUT it is still nice to paddle in when the tide is in and the infinity pool provides all day swimming options so it's not a big issue.

Review 114：Beautiful location. Really friendly staff. Luxurious accommodation for the island, but still a little rustic. We had some issues on our first night with the plumbing (or lack of it) in our room, however, the staff got out there in the blistering heat the next day, dug a hole and installed a new pipe and we were all set. Gave us the first night for free too which was very generous. The infinity pool is incredible - spent many hours cooling off in there. Best place to be at sunset. Hired one of the scooters and went exploring around the island which was really interesting. Also used the free bikes a couple of times (in the evening when the temperature was bearable!). The restaurant was pretty good - super cheap and quite a few vegetarian options. Great cocktails - no skimping on the booze here. It's a quiet spot - great for relaxing. We loved our stay at Seavana and were sad to leave.
