Reviews for Sandy Bay Holiday Park

Review 1:Floors were really pretty awful (ground in dirt).

Review 2:Native animals that "hung out' in the park. How close to the beach. Really lovely helpful staff.

Review 3:no washing machine in unit but not really a problem to use park facilities.

Review 4:Lots of room and facilities were fabulous, and units clean, park close/short drive to all kids activities in area

Review 5:Couches in cabins not very comfortable. Be better if Middle member across cane couch wasn't there.

Review 6:Location suited with easy access to the south west region. Bed was good. Self contained and all we needed to do our own breakfast.

Review 7:It was dark and dingy. We had accommodation for 6 but it was a duplex and you could hear everything they said. Luckily they weren't too noisy.

Review 8:The grounds in the centre was nice.

Review 9:Front door lock was difficult to work, needs repair or replacement as was the sliding bedroom door, did not feel entirely secure. Beds and chairs had mites or something. Fumigation might be in order. Path from front to door would save dirt. Unit could do with some modernising.

Review 10:Great quiet location close to restaurants and beach. Park very well maintained. Spacious throughtout. Most items available. Staff were helpful and approachable.

Review 11:The only thing we could say was that the chalet was slightly outdated and had a mouldy smell, but we brought some air fresher so that fixed it.

Review 12:Loved the location, and staff were amazing

Review 13:1) It was too cold and uncomfortable in one of the room, as it was without a electric heater in that room!

Review 14:1) Lovely place, as the chalet really sits in the park; 2) The self help fire place in the living hall is quite unique and interesting;

Review 15:Smell in bathroom.

Review 16:The compactness of the unit.Wood heater worked superbly. Ample space for the two of us. Mud brick cottage very well inulated from noise outside.

Review 17:Two bunk bed . My son even my wife didn't like it. so my wife had to sleep in the sofa. Bunk bed was not good for comfortable. Instead of two bunk bed one could be just a single bed in the same room, so that if some one doesn't like bunk bed ,can sleep in single bed.

Review 18:Fire wood system. staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 19:The lounge chairs were uncomfortable to sit in-cushions would be great. There was no coffee pot.

Review 20:The fire place was great and so was the provision of wood. Great location on the beach.

Review 21:Spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished chalet with everything you could possibly need. 100% perfect. The staff/owners obviously have pride in their accommodation.

Review 22:I loved how all the kids all got on great together and how everyone was really friendly it was like you had known everyone for ages a really good community feeling excellent will definitely be coming back again staff are the best people ever

Review 23:Bunk beds were not comfortable. Wasn't sufficient hot water for all of us to shower (4)people on the first night.

Review 24:Friendly staff at check in. Quite clean and neat accommodation. Barbecue facilities very clean.

Review 25:It was the first time we had traveled down south for a weekend break, and we couldn't of picked a better holiday park, staff were inviting and helpful form the get go. will definitely be going back.

Review 26:would have liked a bit more cutlery. would it be possible to have a night - light available from the office, to make it easier to find the loo in the dark.

Review 27:the wood fire.

Review 28:Inadequate lighting in living areas as light bulbs missing - had to ask for bulbs in order to be able to read. Also had to ask for toilet paper as no spare rolls. Disliked owners overly heavy handed attitude towards guests. Bond of $200 on arrival and expected to sweep unit and clean fridge prior to departure.

Review 29:Couches were not that comfy but really not a drama

Review 30:We loved Sandy bay chalets! It was half the price of some of the hotels in the area and we didn't go without a thing! Great facilities and lovely little verandah to kick back on to read the paper and have a beer. Walking distance to the best beach in Busso... And short drive to Dunsborough and wineries. We'll be back next year!!!

Review 31:What we liked the most was the location and the staff. Everyone was friendly, esp the office ladies. They made us very welcome and found 'lost' teddy who is now on his way home!!

Review 32:a couple with a dog who pooped on chidrens play ground and just left it there just walk off without picking it up.

Review 33:Very close to everything beach, shops and restsurant

Review 34:Bed but on the hard side. Lovely linen tho. Kitchen but cramped but bbqs were available outside. We chose to cook in as the weather was bad. Couches needaintenance on under carriage. We didn't have long enough stay.

Review 35:Staff lovely. Cabin very clean

Review 36:No air conditioning, which didn't cause us too much of a problem, but may be an issue when it is really hot.

Review 37:Quiet location and very helpful staff. Unit well laid out and roomy.

Review 38:The chalet was old and tired looking, really needs to step out of the 70's and get into the present. The decor and furnishings are real old, I would say the lounge is the original one and the curtains haven't been updated since the chalet was built. The bed wasn't overly comfortable and it's probably something else that could do with an upgrade. If there are four adults then I would definately request the bigger chalet as the Swiss Chalet was fairly small but ok for 3 adults and 1 small child.

Review 39:Location is close to the beach, BBQ facilities are excellent and the chalets are well equipped. Love the caravan park feel about the whole place and as soon as you drive in, you know you're definately in a holiday place. The pot belly fire was used on both nights we stayed cause it was a little chilly and the novelty of a pot belly fire was too good to refuse. The kitchen was very well equipped although it could have done with double the amount of crockery and cutlery. Apart from the place needing an upgrade, it was a really great stay and location for exploring the surrounding area and the wineries.

Review 40:Superb location - excellent facilities sufficient & appropriate. Enjoyed the chalets... Even spotted a 1.5 m shark!....Thank you
