Reviews for Steyn Apartments

Review 1:- Old furniture. - No airconditioner and windows broken - Noisy neighbourhood at night - Unsafe bunk-beds. Because of the noise and dangerous movement I thought that my brother (sleeping in the upper bed) was going to fall over me. - Uncomfortable and really old mattress - No freezer - No toilet amenities (shampoo and gel) - Only 2 big towels (we were 4 people!) - The hair-drier was broken. - The door of the closet was dirty. In short, we pay too much for the service that we received.

Review 2:The receptionist came in 5 minutes when we call him (there was no one at the reception when we arrived). We found the place the day before and could book it easily

Review 3:- Window was on the ground floor and lock was broken so couldn't leave it open.

Review 4:- Located close to many restaurants and bars (the Italian restaurant on the other side of the street was great!) - Friendly staff

Review 5:The rooms were very poorly kept. The carpets were extremely stained, one room only had a shower curtain in the bathroom with a hole in the floor. There was mold in the bathrooms and the towels were completely worn and ripped up. It was definitely not worth the money we paid.

Review 6:The staff was friendly.

Review 7:The staff kicked us out at 11 AM sharp without really telling us the check out time, and it was a week day, no one was waiting for the room. The floor was broken, the bed hard, the TV old... needs some work.

Review 8:Location was pretty good with good restaurants near by.

Review 9:This hotel is right above a huge sex shop - open late! This wasn't mentioned on the site and, with two children in tow, was really inappropriate. The guy at reception didn't mention it, so we didn't know until after we'd paid and had the hotel pointed out to us - up the street and a block away.

Review 10:Large apartment with good self-catering facilities.

Review 11:The problem with parking the van. The hotel has a parking lot with a very limited amount of vehicles., Daily parking is expensive at 18 pm is free

Review 12:Good location and access to the highway. In the vicinity there are many nice cafes and shops. The friendly reception area with a lot of information.

Review 13:The hotel was a bit away from Amsterdam, but then again the price was smaller. The bathroom smelled a bit. They should replace the TV as it was showing very low quality picture.

Review 14:The price was affordable and the rooms were quite big and spacy. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

Review 15:Of all the budget hotels I've ever stayed in, these rooms were the largest.

Review 16:We liked that it was like an apartment, with our own refridgerator and stove. The "living room" was also good and roomy!

Review 17:the reception person are very funny and friendly he spoke a little French very nice peoples ;)

Review 18:the bed is a bit hard and the window was broken so impossible to close it

Review 19:facilities, location (close to Utrech and many restaurant around)

Review 20:Very flexible, got a nice free room upgrade

Review 21:The big rooms, cleanness, wifi, the big balconies / terraces, in-room kitchinette with the tea-bags available for free.

Review 22:Spacious and Great Staff

Review 23:the smell of smoke

Review 30:Staircase and towels smell cigarette. Very steep staircase.

Review 31:Apartment location is good. It was near to Busstation & city centre. Super maket and restaurants were near by. Rooms were cleaned alternate days.

Review 32:The family room delux apartment is a good size, lots of room to sit, relax, play with our daughter who is 2. the kitchen is small but functional. 2 hobs with no oven, so everything needed to be boiled or fried. there was a microwave - but i dont use one. We wanted a space, where we could opperate as normal, cook our own food and have a place to stay near Utrecht. Perfect for what we needed. Good vaue

Review 33:the hallway to the apartment was a bit stinky, like after cigarettes, although everywhere there were non-smoking signs. I could smell this a bit also in the room, which was not nice, since I am a very strong anti-smoker.

Review 34:simple and straight-forward arrangement, stay and payment.

Review 35:We arrived on a Sunday just after 4:30 pm and the door was locked, with a phone # to call. We did not have a cell phone, but our taxi driver called and someone came within 5 minutes to check us in and give us our key.

Review 36:The hotel section is closed but we stayed in an apartment around the corner on the ground floor in the back. It was very comfortable, clean and quiet and an excellent breakfast back in the main hotel area. The bed and shower were very good.

Review 37:The beds where old and I had the feeling I was sleeping on the ground. Very hard high pillows that really killed my neck!.

Review 38:Big rooms, with all you need! TV, Fridge, a place to cook, and a shower

Review 39:The apartment was great, we booked it for trhree persons, but it couldbe used for at least 4 persons. It has a great location, even though a little far away from the railway station. But there are two buses which can take you in front of the hotel. Even though we stayed at Steyn Appartments only for two nights, the towels were changed and the appartment was cleaned up.
