Review 1：The hotel charged 10% for service but have no service at all. I came with my husband and 1 baby ( 2years old). We have 3 bags with us. When we was checking, their are 2 bellboys at the lobby but no any helping from them to carry our stuff to the room. They bellboys and front office staff were looking at us but no offering to help us. They were just ignore. And also happen again when we checked out. Why would you charge 10% from customer if you won't give the service

As when I heck in to the hotel..they So my request for non smoking room..so I have to wait for roome en it was way over 2pm.. already.. room are not ready. When I go to the room, I was supprise they give me city view.. which I want seaview, I went down to request to change seaview, I know it available as the hotel is not full, but the staff keep telling me that my request is only non smoking room, but I am sure that when I book this room is Superior triple which already indicate with seaview. Even their photo all with seaview. So why should make anyomore request. After a long argue with the reception, she then come out with another excuse, they got the seaview only at the smoking floor and I have to wait for another 1 hour for the room to be ready. I Was so angry and I request for the duty manager, but they dont have, only the supervisor, so when I talk to the supervisor, she also not willing to give to my request until I insist to checkout on the spot! I said I will complain to Booking for false adviertisment. Until she see I am serious, then she just pick up a phone and call housekeeping, 2 minute, I got the seaview non smoking room!!!! So why they need to do that making the guess unhappy! I am ataying for 2 nights. I been here 2nd time, they mangement are not doing a good job to train their staff.

Review 9：Cracked floorboards. First family room given to us had floor boards that looked like they had been ran over by freight trains. We had two young kids that were active miving around the place shoeless so the place presented a hazard. We alerted the staff and were given another room with better flooring. There were moulds on the shower. The place needs a good scrub. We stated in our booking that we had 2 adults and 1 kid at 11. We selected the option including breakfast but were charged extra for a third personal. Booking.com should be more clear about the breakfast was free only for 2 persons.

Review 34：I checked in and usually they'll give me a room overlooking the bay, but because of the hotel being fully booked or other, I got put in a room at the end of the hotel overlooking the housing area. The room was stale and very uncomfortable, it resulted in difficulty in breathing for my mom. They also have a habit of not having a real big bed, and have two super single mashed into one, which is very uncomfortable.

Review 35：The location is nice, the hotel is generally comfortable, and it provides convenience for those travelling to Penang for their medical visits, it's just right behind GlenEagles Penang and ISEC Penang is just a 5 minute walk away. They also make you feel comfortable and will attend to your needs, I had a bad room and within 20 minutes I was put into a far more comfortable and spacious room.

Review 41：We had a Sea View Deluxe Corner Suite on the 29th floor, what a view, the suite was large with a oversized king bed. The bathroom was equipped with a spa tub. Because of the bad weather we got good use of the suite. The location is close to some good restaurants. The swimming pool was large enough to do lengths which helped pass the time.

Plus air-con, the floor become really cold and wet. Suggest hotel move the glass door to inner side of the floor foot pedal (?). Leaking wash room is not acceptable for a 4-star hotel. 3) TV image not clear and sound not good

Review 56：Staying at the biggest suite room available, it is utmost disappointing that the request just for a few more bottles of water was told that they can only provide another 2 complimentary water and the rests will be chargeable. How much are your cost for just a few more bottles of water? I have never been to any hotels that would reply me so. Such a cheapskate hotel. The towels provided are smelly. The TV channels are mostly blurrish and not watchable. The furnitures are relatively old.

Review 62：Look, it's been 20 years since it opened, and 18 years since I last stayed there. It used to be 4 stars, but now it's quite dated and the room I had looked stark. The beds are hard, and the floor boards and etc. are peeling. It's difficult not to notice. On the other hand, I had everything I possibly needed for my stay. Finally (management please take note): you do NOT use Dettol-type disinfectant to mop the lobby floor. It smells like the toilet of any and every government office, public hospital, public school, or transportation hub. The decor of the reception is quite OK, but the smell of that disinfectant just kills it.

Review 63：Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints here. Location is reasonably good in that 1) not at a bustling night market etc., I'm there for business, 2) there's a nice seaside hawker/beer garden thing almost directly opposite, 3) a 15 min walk to Jalan Burma will take you to Green House Restaurant, where some of the very best hawker fare on the planet is found. The rooms have a sitting area, and in the junior suite I had, a guest toilet AND table/sitting area - very good for meetings inside. Overall the place is clean - they try to please. I would come back, but please see me 'what didn't you like' comments.

They are very rude, one of the Malaysia lady feception. she is not friendly.. and while she is on duty, ttalking us, she was eating chewing gum.She giving us wrong info never, when we try to check again, she wasvery rude to us and eating chewing gum while she is on duty.Lucky there is a senior Indian lady staff, she took over and handle it very professional and she listen to my complain on her staff attitude, she even offer a free Breakfast for 2 person. That was a quick response. A plus service from That Indian staff.

Review 112：Too many blackout. It happened 4-5 times per day not only mine but my friend's room as well. The housekeeping that supposed to repair the blackout was not friendly and polite. The blackout happened at night at 1 am and as I was asking why is it happened a few times per day, he simply said you change roomlah. 2. Call the reception a day earlier for a late check out because my course finished at 1 pm. They said okay, however, On the day of the check out, they call a few times telling me to check out because someone else is checking in at 11 am, while I was attending a course at another place. Just inconsiderate. 3. Don't be fooled by the price. They charge an extra 1.16 percent. 4. Same breakfast everyday no variety at all.

Review 113：Annoying and bothersome housekeeping staff who rang the doorbell at 10am and 11am requesting to clean up! Hello! We were still sleeping and it's not even checkout time! Carpark has no lift. Only one set of toiletries when it's booked as double.

Review 135：No direct lift from carpark to hotel lobby and suites; not disabled-friendly because you have to take the stairs up and down everytime. Creaky floorboard in the suite; some were even torn off - not safe for guests with kids. Some mold growth in the corners of the shower. Faulty lights and ceiling fans and aircond - kept switching on/off by themselves throughout our stay (hotel told us it's by "default").

Review 136：The jacuzzi is a major plus! Large suite, prime location. Fast check-in and fast check-out. Spa at Samsara on Level 9 is quite good too with discounts for hotel guests. Powerful shower pressure. Toilet and shower are in separate cubicles. There were 2 toilets in the Junior Suite, although one was without a bidet.

Review 137：Internet disconnects very often, no swimming pool for kids, so kids not enjoyed. Bell boys take their own (or hotel's) commission when taxi called through them. Breakfast choices are very low, and same menu every three days we stayed.

Review 139：It's a bit far from most places. Walking distance to Gurney Plaza is already at least 1.5km and the hawker center is even a little further. Taxi rides are expensive in Penang. A complimentary shuttle service to Georgetown would have been so much better. Room air conditioning is too cold even at the highest temperature setting.
