Review 1：I would not mark it as a 5 star hotel but more on the high 4 stars. If you are used to 5 star service and attention you will be disappointed. The rooms are a bit run down and the doors look very old.

Review 2：The location was really good, in front of the beach and with easy access to the town and main attractions. A good place to relax and enjoy the best Ixtapa has to offer.

Review 3：Advertised all inclusive and when we arrived were told it is semi all inclusive. Oy allowed to eat at Buffett. No balconies. People save chairs at beach and pool as early as 6 am and don't show up for hours. Beach chairs have lots of bird poop and never cleaned. There during Super Bowl and were charged. $25 each to watch in hotel lobby. Wait staff gave preferential treatment to guests who were not on all inclusive plan.

Review 20：There was an earthquake the night we were there. Although we didn't need to evacuate, if we had, the evacuation route was not clear.

Review 21：The lobby was beautiful. All rooms had nice views. The bed was comfortable. They had a beautiful beachfront.

Review 22：The hotel guide stated that they exchanged money. We went to the desk to exchange and they told us they didn't. That we had to go to a bank with a copy of our passport, however it was Friday evening when we arrived. Banks were closed for the weekend then the bank they sent us too would not exchange for us. The spa left a lot to be desired. Prices were very expensive and staff was mediocre.

Review 25：Rooms were clean and ample in size. Shower was huge allowing a wonderful shower! My wife and I ate at the beach buffet on our first night. Wonderful food, excellent service and a beautiful view as the sun went down. We are looking forward to a return to this great hotel on the beach

Review 26：We had cold water for more than 1 day, and staff did not seem interested in fixing it. We received a call on day 2 to ask if the problem had already resolved "itself". Our room was not made when we came back at 3PM, and it took 2 calls to have it made. We had asked for a quiet room, but ended up in a room close to the elevator, and in the morning children were screaming and banging doors. Staff suggested to send security and check the corridor. The coffee machine broke in the pool area, and the bar was out of an ingredient for a drink. - In fact, staff really didn't seem to care about this. I think the property can really improve on taking ownership for such things, and resolve problems immediately, and not let customers wait or call more than 1 time to get something fixed. Wi-Fi is available in public areas, but it's very slow, and the more you are away from the Reception Desk, the weaker is the signal.

Review 27：We liked the facilities like the pool, and the spa area, and the private beach that the property has. Within walking distance is also a commercial area with shops, tour agencies, bars, and restaurants, and it's very nice to have these options.

Review 28：Poorest WiFi I ever had in a so called "5 Star Hotel" !! Reception in the room=0 Old rotten furniture in the rooms. Poor service and entertainment in Pool Area. Pool very shallow. Most staff without English. No sufficient shops in Hotel! Specialty Restaurant was not open for all my stay(6 days)!!! Ranking ***** A BIG JOKE !!!!

Review 32：The top few floors are fairly newly remodeled and the rooms areexcellent, from the 6th floor down the rooms are just ok. When you checkin ask for a room on the top couple of floors.

Review 36：the air conditioning has issues---very mildewy & smelly---needs cleaning for guests with breathing problems--bathroom fan didn't work--added to the problem----also the loud music at night should be turned down--and if you're trying to get mature american guests--NO ONE likes musc after 11:00 or midnight! ----at the pool, there were lots of chairs both sun and shade---but please clean the bird poop off them every day!
