Review 1：The rooms were spacious and very clean . The bed and pillows were so comfortable. You could hear the traffic from the road outside . It was an easy walk to the Octagan and Railway station.

Review 10：Clean and comfortable room and bed! The last time we booked in for a night we could not get to Dunedin because of flooding. The hotel kindly refunded the full cost even though we cancelled without notice. Thank you for being so understanding and considerate. Review 11：The beds were unbelievably BAD. Some sort of very very soft and thick underlay. Maybe to hide bad beds? Bad pillows, both nights uncomfortable and sore in the mornings. NO AIR CON!

Review 13：Our room was very spacious. It was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very friendly. And most of all it was in a very handy location to Dunedin city, with everything being within walking distance.

Review 14：Booking.com did not really provided the accurate address of this property we stayed at, and we ended up at another Scenic Hotel just two streets down. Also, as we stayed on Christmas Day, so they did not serve anything in the restaurant except chips, nuggets or soup. Could do something more about it as this is a hotel!

Review 15：Checking in was fast and prompt, front desk staff was curt. Room was spacious, and clean, with simple kitchen facilities. Wifi speed access was great and speed was fast. Toilet was clean and showers were great.

Review 16：Hotel cleaning staff have issues, they never check lighting or heating works. For 2 days, one bed lamp and a heater was out of action. It was fixed after my note. Chamber staff always very late to clean the room, around 3-4 pm. Although I saw the hotel note re. towels if I need to change them or not, But never saw a note for bed sheets. We found that bed sheets were not clean from day one. Even for peak period, I would say charges are very high for a 2-3 star hotel. Parking cost 12 dollars per day is a issue considering all hotels around offered free parking. No plates or cutlery at the room

Review 39：Bathroom unbelievably dirty...soap scum and previous occupants hair in corner of shower. On day of departure discovered waste bin liner was a shower cap with previous occupants beer cans located in the bottom of said receptacle. Security was diabolical...phoned room to check whether my partner was in situ; no answer, then asked for key to room which was supplied without requesting confirmation of my identity before providing key.

Review 43：Staff member Vince Lowry was amazing. He seemed to be doing everything! Tending bar, showing people to their tables, taking orders for both drinks and food, serving the drinks and food etc. He did it all with a smile and very efficiently. He was also full of amusing stories. He even brought our room service breakfast the following morning! What an asset to your hotel!

Four hours later when we returned to the hotel, 11.30pm the issue had still not been addressed. When I phoned the reception again, they offered to come to the room and clean at that time, it was 11.30pm!! I suggested we sort it in the morning when everyone had some sleep!! On check out I raised the issue again, only to be told they had sent two people to the room, and couldn't find an issue!! At this point I suggested I show your staff the toilet, when your staff member saw the toilet, her words were "Oh I don't know how they missed that!! It was honestly disgusting! At the same time I also showed your staff member the brown stains on the bedding which I had also noticed the night before while getting into bed!! Yes disgusting, brown stains!! We returned to the front desk and checked out, you staff told us the manager would be in touch, to date we have heard nothing!! Not impressed!!

I was not happy to discover my car had been parked for several nights across the road in a public car park instead of under the hotel in the car park. I could have paid a lot less and parked myself. The car also was more prone to damage and theft where it was parked.

We had a meal in their restaurant on the Monday night which was empty other than ourselves, didn't expect much but were pleasantly surprised with a top quality meal cooked to perfection. The bed was extremely comfy and the room spacious.

We had issues with not having face cloths, not having the room properly cleaned after our first night, not having the tea/coffee sachets replenished and not being able to park our vehicle.

Staff at reception were not helpful at all and quite rude. Car was not put in storage for at least 3 hours after arrival which was late at night, security I DONT THINK SO. We had to ask for satchets of coffee everyday and was given only 3 and there was 3 of us staying so no coffee for someone and if we did want another cup we didnt have any to drink.

Review 115：Parking was an issue. The choice was either valet parking at a cost or pay and display street parking. Luckily we secured street parking for our stay at a reasonable cost and the convenience of having our car available to us when we needed it.

Review 119：Overprice breakfast given the food they provide. Aircon only available at top floor. One side of the building is facing west so it's hot in the afternoon. They do provide fan if you ask for it.

We had to kick up a fuss on the second night to get a table, telling them they should have a certain number of tables available for other guests and that we were probably paying more than any of the groups. They then found us a table.
