Review 1：We had to call the reception 3 times to get them to deliver an extra bed to our room, which I already told them to prepare beforehand when I made my booking.

Review 2：Location was good with a bus stop nearby that had a free shuttle bus service to Komtar bus terminal. Room had a view of the beach as well.

Review 6：Restaurant staff refused to put two tables together for a crowd of eight. Simple matter as restaurant most totally empty. Staff must be told to be flexible. Probably she was following orders

Review 9：Location is the best. Near to many amenities i.e. best local food, banks, convenient store, shopping. Trishaw ride begin in front of hotel. Very cheap! Must try for tourist to have Georgetown tour by trishaw.

Review 10：Check out was a drag as no proper check out line was provide. Queue cutting was rampant. Shower drain was blocked, the whole bathroom floor was flooded after a few minutes of opening the tap.

Review 26：This would be the 3rd times I stay here, Cititel Hotel for Xmas. I hadbook 4 rooms. I also got the "Good" experience from it. (20-26/12/2015)Room 625 Rely gave me a big "Surprise" experience. When i check-in the room. Cleaning problem - left the toilet brush INSIDE the toilet bowl forget to take away, Air-con can't control, TV control nearly can't use, Toilet broken Have to change room Room 714 Cleaning problem - No follow the cleaning progress and no check properly after cleaning Room 626 First day check-in the doorknob broken Room 627 No commend Room 628 The Tiles beside the bathtub fall onto the foot Much problem of your things, please do your maintenance. This was the experience i got when i stay during the Xmas time.

Review 27：All the staffs are friendly. The 6th Floor, Cleaning Staff, rely done agood cleaning job. Humans sometime will make little mistake, we have toaccept and forgive it.

Review 30：Very courteous staff. Would like to mention in particular Ms Ng Kooi See, Assistant Front Office Manager, who was most helpful in making our stay a very pleasant one. Very clean sea view room, good bed and excellent service from Housekeeping Staff. Good value for money. Had stayed there previously but this time around our stay was even more pleasant. Would be our first choice during our next visit.

Review 31：The jacuzzi is just bubble not hot plus the steam room got no way to turn it on. The noise from the night activities can be heard in our room til midnight.

Room looks like a hostel room with very non convinient lookof toilet. 1 bulb gone in the toilet. No Safe box in room. Got fan whichlooks so old timer. All the swiches are very far away from the bed. Weneed to charge handphone/laptop all nowadays, need switch near tobed! Overall, its 2 star hotel standard.

But Booking.com says I will not be charged unless I made late cancellation. I did not cancel so why they charge my card and not allow me to pay by cash at the counter? Review 85：very difficult to get a taxi in the late evening from big shopping malls to hotel. can be very quiet in the evening so do take care.

It is possible to take a walk to 1 ave and nearby big shopping malls which can take 15 to 30 mins.This depend on individual but do plan the route early. knowing the route will help you if you end up not able to get a taxi in the late evening from the shopping mall.

Review 87：booking via booking.com. the option selected was not reflected onto cititel penang account. i was asking to get the queen size bed instead of two single beds. because of the option on booking.com i did not raise it as a special request and when i checked in at the counter, i was given two single beds (for my solo stay). not happy experience overall.

Review 95：The hotel was at a great location! There were so many eateries around and even a 24 hour Indian food coffee shop just opposite. There's also a bar just beside the hotel which was great. We had a free room upgrade & the rooms were spacious. Toilet was clean, housekeeping was amazing & the staff were all so friendly. We will definitely stay at Cititel Penang again when we visit the next time!

We had wanted to find out more about cititel express and he told us of a the free shuttle bus that would take us there and back. Helped save some time!

Review 127：On arrival asked for a cash deposit for more than the cost of the booking. We had paid for one night before leaving Australia. We were a little upset as we were not expecting to have to pay cash. I have travelled all over the World and expect to be asked for a credit card but not cash. After arguing with the receptionist and the manager they finally agreed to accept our card. A little bit of fore thought would have avoided the unpleasantness. We nearly cancelled our booking to stay with our relatives.
