Reviews for Le Petit Riad
Review 1:Le Petit Riad is a gem in Morocco. The city of Ouarzazate is beautiful, the Riad is located a little outside the center which makes it calm and peaceful. Very hospitable people there - they don't just tell you "it's like family here", it really is! If it wasn't so far away for me I'd return there every month :)
Review 2:Very helpful staff - they even drove us to the airport at 5:15 am and packed us a breakfast to go. Comfortable room with heat/ac, nice bathroom, and private patio. Dinner at the riad was excellent.
Review 3:Very easy to find, and all the basic facilities in place. The manager was very helpful and was able to offer us a light supper which was a pleasing contrast to standard fare.
Review 4:The bed was very, very hard, like wood. Ouch.
Review 5:The managers are simply the best. They were like friends and loved chatting about our Moroccan adventures and things to see. The amenities were great - after a long day, it was nice to sit by the pool on the lounge chair after a long day. Breakfast and dinner were similar to other places we had stayed. If you have a car (which you should if you're in Ouarzazate!), everything is very easily navigable and there is a place to park at the Riad.
Review 6:Absolutely nothing.
Review 7:We booked this place with intentions of it being a place to stop for the night after travelling a long way. We couldn't imagine what a superb luxury we'd stumbled upon. The welcome we received was typical of a traditional Moroccan experience. We enjoyed Moroccan tea upon arrival by the poolside and a faultless three course home cooked meal in the evening. To say the staff at le petit riad go above and beyond to see to your comfort is an understatement. It's just such a shame that we were only there for one night. Ouarzazate on the whole is a completely underrated district in morroco and we will definitely be returning, largely in part to the welcome and friendliness received at le petit riad. For the technical bits, the room we were given had all the necessitates you'd need, a beautiful clean, traditional comfortable large double bed, separate shower and ensuite. Easy off street parking for our car too. The breakfast included in the room rate was delicious and with the beautiful scenery we enjoyed it in we really did feel completely isolated from the rest of the world. We really can't rate this place enough and are looking forward to a time we can return.
Review 8:Everything. the staff helped us out when we arrived late on a breakdown truck and continued to look after us over the next few days getting bikes repaired. a beautiful oasis to stay with excellent food and spotless rooms . Cant wait to return for another stay.
Review 9:Tremendous decor through out...very inviting that makes you want to sit back and relax! Beautiful pool and patio area, Staff are fabulous helpful, and cheerful. Easy location!
Review 10:This riad truly offers personalised service and makes you feel like family. We were met in the street and sent off again in the same way with a complimentary bottle of water. The food was really great, some of the best we had.
Review 11:Ouarzazate doesn't have restaurants or bars to walk to and no pretty scenery
Review 12:Loved the staff and riad, nice food although not personally my type of thing! Very accommodating, friendly and nice customer service, clean premises which were traditional and pretty and really well kept! Intimate patio and pool area all kept really clean! From what I could see the kitchen was also really clean! Location is near film studios and the base for marathon de sables. Ouarzazate overall doesn't have a lot to do, but I would have loved this when after an operation I just wanted to chill for a week and read.
Review 13:Ben and Sahid were very friendly and provided excellent service all round. A traditional style Riad, not that old, possibly purpose built in last twenty/thirty years or so. Everything about it wonderfully clean and sparkling while retaining good atmospheric feel to the place. Met great couple with young baby when we had evening meal and very pleasant breakfast outside by the pool.
Review 14:Loved it all.
Review 15:The ambience of Le Petit Riad is just so inviting and so cosy. Love the coloured walls and beautiful artwork on the walls. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night and it was winter so we didn't use the lovely looking pool. Our room was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed a very nice dinner and breakfast.
Review 16:You can see that a lot of thinking, attention to detail, and love went into the design of this riad. It's gorgeous looking all around. Breakfast was rich and delicious. The room and bathroom were both very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in and use.
Review 17:Nothing.

Review 57:Desert beauty in the riad, an oasis of calm, with a friendly staff ready to assist. Fatima, the owner, was the perfect host and drove us many times in to town. By far the best meal I have eaten in Morocco, in all my visits. The rooms were spacious and the desert view was awesome. For a wonderful experience like a B - B check this jewel of the desert.
Review 58:Very friendly staff and excellent value for money. There's a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere here and we would certainly stay again - for a third time!
Review 59:Really wonderfull! It's a small and really nice place. The food is traditional maroccan and the best I ever tried. It's a cosy and really relaxing place.
Review 60:I liked everything, from the decoration, location, staffs, food, rooms... Also, I had an emergency situation the last day and everyone helped me the best they could. We really were taking care of during our whole stay as if our needs were first in their priorities... could not imagine stay at another place in Ouarzazate anymore!
Review 61:It was windy the morning we awoke and the noise through out the house ventilation was loud at times.
Review 62:A beautifully decorated riad and appears to be new. The atmosphere is chic but feels welcoming to the weary traveler. It is romantic, but also is family friendly and caters to travelers from all parts of the world. Ahmed, the riad keeper, was superb and served our evening meal and took care of all of our needs. He is fluent in several languages. Highly recommend.
Review 63:The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. We also loved how the room was furnished - it was clean and everything worked but it still had a lot of personality.
Review 64:We were left some 20 minutes waiting for dinner without any explanation. The selection of drinks was very poor.
Review 65:The riad is very nice, well decorated and not far from the casbah. Fatima, the owner, was very warm in welcoming, but then she disappeared.....
Review 66:Nothing! It was all fabulous. A veritable art gallery and delight!
Review 67:Beautiful Riad with wonderful attention to detail. Our room, complete with curtained four poster and leather slippers was fabulous. Terrace and pool as well as dinner and breakfast was fabulous. Would have enjoyed longer. Lovely, just lovely!

Review 70:Owner and staff so friendly and willing to help... gave us a tour and let us choose our own room as we were the first to arrive for night, the food were some of the best in all of our stay in Morocco, and the pool area is quite relaxing and clean. Would stay again and recommend to anyone
Review 71:No garden. Small swimming pool area. Small room. Indeed a small riad.
Review 72:Nice reception and service. Big sitting lounge with tourist information and books. Good enough for one or two nights. Fatima, the lady running the place, was the first female guide in Morocco.
Review 73:We were happy with everything
Review 74:Lovely pool in peaceful surroundings. Most friendly staff ever, the owner drove us to the main Kasbah in her own car. Very delicious and imaginative dinner.
Review 75:Whilst travelling in morocco we stayed in 5 riads of varying expense. This was the cheapest of them all and where we had the most enjoyable time. We enjoyed it because the food was excellent and becuase the whole family running the riad were delightful. Stay here, you won't regret it.
Review 76:Le Petit Riad is a really nice hotel decorated in a wonderful way! Ourroom was lovely, with moroccan forniture and lamps and a big romanticcanopy bed! Breakfast was great, served by the pool, a great way tostart the day! Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Review 77:We arrived at the Riad around 7pm after a long drive from Marrakech, stopping at Ait Benhadou etc. We were greeted warmly, had our luggagecarried to our room, and were offered some Mint tea to warm up ( was avery cold Jan evening). It is very cold in the evenings after sunset. We were kindly offered dinner at the Riad on arrival. Normally, I prefer to have dinner in one of the restaurants in town if breakfast is offered. However, we were feeling quite tired and decied to have dinner at the Riad. What an excellent decision this turned out to be as this turned out to be one of the best meals I personally have had in Morocco. Starter was a warm soup, followed by an aubergine dish with the most amazing sauce. Main was a Chicken Tagine with lemon and Olives, and desert was a fruit cocktail. All super tasty and busting with flavors :). Excellent stay overall. Thanks to the host. They were very attentive, courteous and very professional with their hospitality. Definitely, have no qualms staying at the Riad in the future.
