Review 1：Check-in was slow. Our room window was broken. So the sound was eerie.

Review 2：The room was comfortable and the location of the hotel is central and near to a lot of food places. Value for money.

Review 3：Front office staffs that are on duty during my check-in. There is no greetings nor eye contact to acknowledge me & my family presents. I was standing in front of the reception area for a couple of minutes but the staffs acted like very busy. At that point of time, there is only 1 customer is checking out. The counter have 2 on duty staff. It was a very annoying experience as I know that these staffs know I'm there but ignore me, until I make beg their pardon, and they greeted me. I don't think that is how customer service work!

Review 4：The Location is good as Penang local food stalls are only stone throw away. The room amenities are complete. Friendly housekeeping staffs. Good & courteous bell service.

Review 5：Our non smoking room smelled of cigarettes smoke. Hence, the inconvenience of having to change rooms. The hotel seems a bit tired and need some updating and refurbishment.

Review 17：Faulty temperature control over air-con, gets too cold in the nights or too warm during the day. The swimming pool needs a major renovation. Too small and dirty pool counter as well. Staff had a hold up for check-in. Booked two rooms and one of it was an hour late for check-in. Study table needs a dedicated lamp and yeah not those brown lights please. Rate was expensive but might just be due to the peak season charges.

Review 18：Went in during the busiest time of the year into Penang and because of last minute plans, this was the only hotel available in Georgetown. Despite the crowd, parking was well managed. Since the basement was full, we had to park the car at the beside plaza with the hotel bearing the parking price. As stated in previous reviews, there's no lift from basement parking to lobby. If you're driving, just stop your car at the entrance to load and unload instead of fussing over a small thing. The bellboys and staffs were happy to serve. The lift was super-fast to upper floors, the rooms were very clean despite being outdated and were huge as well. Superb view overlooking the city and sea is a major plus. The bed was very comfortable and the hot shower/bathtub was good. Wifi/LAN speed at 10-15 Mbps, which in my opinion is good enough. Gym facilities are kept clean and functions well. Overall, the plus outweighs the negatives. There might be better hotels around at the same price but this place is not as bad as they say it is...

Review 19：Room 917 is haunted. Unseen being screaming into my ear on 1st night. Unseen being crawl onto my bed and held my elbow which am unable to move on the 2nd night. This happened when i switched off the corridor light and facing towards left-hand side of the bed.

Review 21：Although the hotel website states that the check-in time is 2.00 pm, even when you reach there at 8.00 pm you may be asked to stay for one hour to get the room. This may be quite frustrating, especially after a long drive. The front office staff can be quite rude and unpleasant if you show your unhappiness regarding the delayed room preparation. The management does not pay attention to your complains regarding the staff behaviour. There is no lift to the basement where the car park is located. Thus, offload your heavy luggage and elderly passengers at the front door, before parking the car. The hotel is situated at a congested city centre. Thus, if you are looking for a scenic location in Penang Island, this is definitely not the place for you.

Review 23：Always have problem to use credit card due to faulty card machine. Happened several times and told receptionist to try another machine. Lady at café had no patience to look at buffet slip when it mentioned 2 adults. By the way we were waiting patiently for 3 mins. She is rude to a patient customer. Customer is right to request another table if they are not happy with the location. Get rid of this person to kitchen side where she can get annoyed with dirty plates.

Review 27：stayed 5 nights,hotel is next to plaza with a grocery store cheap for happy hour beers for the room, breakfast was awesome changed daily, pool was large, street behind hotel is Nagore Square which are old terrace homes converted to cafes restaurants and shops cheap too, 15 minute walk to sights and shopping malls to Georgetown,look for Hong Kong bar cheap beers and a lot of history there, bus easy to catch to Batu Ferringhi, and you must go to Miami Cafe there, we would defiantly stay here again,

Review 28：I had booked two twin room. One for my parents with other siblings and for my family with a baby. My parents got 2 single beds but acceptable so that my other siblings can sleep on the other one. Unfortunately my room suppose to be a queen bed but actually they combine 2 single bed put together. I thought the beds wont move easily but we always got tiny space in the middle of beds and my baby's hand inside it during sleeping. :( but we cannot change the room since the hotel had ''full house'. One more thing the aircond in my room didnt function very well. The technician had came but still remain the same thing. Again, full house. No chance to exchange the room. But the staff are all good.

Review 47：The room furnitures are old. The bed, armchair and desk chair have sunken and look dirty. The room was smelly and the noise from the road in front was unbearable. There were even guests smoking and making noises as early as 5AM for hours in front of my room and I was at the non-smoking floor. Couldn't sleep well due to the noise and bad smell of cigarettes (imagine in full aircond floor). The swimming pool could not be used.

Review 58：When asked how to get to the Peak Railway in Penang, we were not told about the tourist "Hop-on, hop-off" bus, nor was there any publicity about this service which passed the hotel. We would have used this and saved money on taxi fares. Notice about the courtesy bus to the mall was not displayed prominently.

Review 121：Hotel is rundown and tired looking and in need to be refurbished. Bathroom very old and tiles are falling off the bathroom walls. The staff of the hotel are generally not friendly and they do not greet or smile at you. Most that loiter by the entrance when you return to the hotel just look and stare at you. The receptionist staff in particular an Indian man is very rude and could do with getting retrained on how to deal and treat customers properly. This hotel is pricy for what it offers and it's quite far from georgetown. If you do not have a car then it will be costly getting into town and returning. Taxi fares are expensive and you will be lucky if you can find one that uses the meter. The flat rate to town is RM15. I will not return to this hotel again as there are many good and cheaper ones closer to town.

What a useful app. The staff were very friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable. We even had a sea view. The wifi was available in the room as well and quite fast. There was an excellent food court nearby - new world park food court in Jalan hutton. Would stay here again when visiting Penang.
