Holiday Beach Resort sells fast on our site. Located a 10-minute drive from Koh Mak Temple, Holiday Beach Resort offers free Wi-Fi in public areas of the hotel. The resort has a private beach area and restaurant.
Holiday Beach Resort offers a free one-way shuttle service from Makathani Pier and Koh Mak Resort Pier, both a 10-minute drive away.

Review 1：Pom and Dara are great hosts-- great food at The Relax restaurant, nice clean beach. Love it. Pom taught me how to play Disc Golf on his new 9-hole course!

Review 2：It was no luxury, and the bungalows were in need for renovation. But you get what you pay for so it was good for the price!

Review 4：The best thing of Holiday beach is the view. You can enjoy the view from the bungalow. Pom and Dara are also nice host. They have two version of bungalow. Some bungalow are quite old. I got the old one. It's not that clean. I see some rust on the door and other places that are metal and a big cockroach in my room. The worst thing is water. I smell some rust in the water and color is seem to be orange or yellow. I think it maybe ground water but it's too stand the smell. After I took a shower, I can smell some rust on my skin and all my nails turn to orange.Food in resort are a bit expensive than others.

Review 6：Mr.Pom(owner) is so kind. It made me feel like home. And had lots of activities to do in resort. Beautiful view, Delicious foods. Can walk to Koh Rayang in the morning.

Review 7：Unfortunately the owner and cook had to leave for personal reasons. The rest of the staff were not unfriendly, but they also did not care much. We couldnt have any food besides toast and microwaved egg since the cook was away. The food at other nearby resorts was not good. The sea is really shallow, so you have to walk quite far before you can swim and the water gets really hot in the shallows (we rented a scooter and went elsewhere so it was not a problem). The bungalow was not very clean, there was only a quilt, we had to ask for sheets. We did laundry at the resort but I'm not sure they used any detergent, it smelled funny and because of the Koh Mak water, whites became red. There are a number of dogs (personally not a fan, but they were pretty harmless). Be prepared for a few bugs/spiders that may venture in. its a basic bungalow though, so you expect that.

Review 8：The location was really good, great view on the beach, relaxing, the grounds were well kept and grassy with lots of hammoks for lounging. We rented a scooter and went about the island, would definitely recommend that, its a flat island and pretty safe to drive around. You get to see a lot more. Good basic bungalow if you're on a budget. Generally enjoyed our stay.

Review 13：Nothing really bad, obviously. Wifi sometimes didnt work in the room. Electricity occasionally went off in the day, but this didnt really cause an issue. Restaurant didnt seem to serve food continuously, so one time we had to wait like 10 mins when we ate dinner early. Bathroom door had seen better days (maybe a couple of decades ago haha).

Review 14：I did not expect this place to be so beautiful! Right on the beach...quiet..full of flowers and birdsong. Idyllic! We went for the cheapest option, I think £30 per night for 5 nights. Our little bungalow chalet was so cute, with seats and hammock outside. Staff SUPER friendly and easygoing. Amazing food in the restaurant - you have to try the pork toast! Honestly, this place is special and you will not regret staying here.

Review 15：Nothing really as this is the prettiest, best maintained mid price resort around. However ...There can be sand flies on beach which give nasty bites so make sure you put plenty of diet/coconut oil on al all times. Also advice to check prices of services with resorts next door for best value if your on a budget. The bungalow are basic inside and could do with some upgrading but ok as the veranda views from the hammock are what its about!

Review 16：The position of the bungalows is what makes this resort a great stay.... they are around a well maintained garden with hammocks and deck chairs . They are nicely painted and look cute to stay in but basic inside. All have good views. The resort also has a nicely designed bar/restaurant and do bike/kayak/snorkel hire. It has doe nice touches e.g. free weights, rings to swim with etc. We had good nights in the bar listening to some good music, playing games and staff discreet but always there for you. Nice to have tea/coffee to make yourself.

Review 18：The island of Koh Mak and Holiday Beach Resort were a wonderful place to rest after the business of Hanoi. The cabins were comfortable and quiet with lots of privacy. The beach was fabulous and the food very tasty. We will be back.

Review 20：This island is paradise. The resort is perfectly situated on the beach. The owners are beautiful people and Dara is an amazing cook. I don't know I will holiday anywhere else after here. It seems they are full of regulars. I will definitely be returning. I took a look at other resorts for friends who are visitin Koh Mak in January. This is the best in my opinion. Best place ever

Review 21：For chilled out couples or a place to think and relax. The more expensive beachfront room not necessary but recommended. Wonderful people. Oh, and disc-golf! :)

Review 43：Yes, there are some sandflies on the beach but coconut oil stops them biting and it is readily available on the island so really not a problem. People should be aware that box jellyfish do exist and be familiar with what to do in the rare event of someone being stung.

Review 44：Pom, Dara, Ka and all the staff are so welcoming and make you feel like family - mountain bikes for hire and a perfect island to explore. Right on the beach and lovely for swimming and walking. The bungalows are delightful with beautiful garden. The food is the best we had in Thailand!

Review 45：Excellent place for a relaxed holiday on Koh Mak. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice bungalows and a big open garden with lots of cute hammocks around the area. Perfect for enjoying a book laying in a hammock looking at the sea. Watch out for sand flies. Use a lot of coconut oil on your skin for protection! This was the second time we stayed with Pom and Dara (hotel owners) and we will book again!

Review 48：The breakfast was two pieces of toast, butter, jam, juice and nescafe. This could definitely be better. We stayed at The holiday beach resort for 4 days and had no cleaning. It didn't bother us that much, but you have to ask for it. Don't expect it to be done My boyfriend complained about the bed being very firm and hard. I didn't find this a problem but truely it wasn't a soft madress

Review 49：We had a fantastic time at Holiday Beach resort. Pom is extremely nice and very easygoing. If you book a bungalow here, you will live ON THE BEACH. Koh Mak is very different than Koh Chang. For us this was a perfect match. Koh Mak is quiet and slow. You can go snorkelling and relax - that's about it. There aren't many stores or restaurants on Koh Mak, but The holiday beach resort is located with most of the stores and restaurants close by.
