Reviews for Residence Rosas

Review 1:They advertise the place as having WiFi in all areas. This is not true. The WiFi is only available at the cafe downstairs. There is no WiFi in the apartments. The bathroom could use some renovation. Some tiles were off, and the water would not drain properly unless you take the shield off.

Review 2:It was great value for money.

Review 3:Wifi did not work in room but worked ok in cafe or reception area. No food available close by so you will need to go into town if you do not want to cook. There are a couple of local shops where you can get supplies.

Review 4:Well set up comfortable apartment, very clean, plenty of space and all you would need. Great breakfast served in cafe Staff really friendly even knew our coffee order after first day :-)

Review 5:wifi only in ground floor, long walk to downtown Ouarzarzate, only one room has AC (also heating in winter)

Review 6:whole apartment with 3 rooms and kitchen (don't know what u get when travelling alone), price, staff very friendly, best breakfast i had in morocco

Review 7:The AC didn't work and it was around zero degrees outside (December) so it was very very cold at the apartment. There was no Wi-Fi (unlike what he said). If you get a room and not an apartment, it's likely to be on the third or fourth floor, without elevator. The location is not good if you don't have a car.

Review 8:The value for money was very good - and he upgraded me to an apartment. It's clean and comfortable. The guy was friendly. Would be happy to stay there again (if the AC works...)

Review 9:WIFI could barely reach apartment, though easily available in Reception and lounge.

Review 10:Lovely large and very comfortable apartment. In a quite locality. Very friendly staff. Run by father and son( Faouzi Hicham) who were exceedingly helpful. Good breakfast .Short walk to town centre, resteraunts and supermarket.

Review 11:Room was bit dirty - rugs havent seen vacum cleaner for a long time, we stayed there in december, was bit cold at night. Generally speaking when youre travelling round Morroco its better to stay somewhere out of Ouarzarzazate itself, not much to see there.

Review 12:Staff was friendly, room was very large. Located near the airport but no planes can be heard so dont be affraid of that. Very good rates in winter. Nice breakfast with fresh pastry.

Review 13:- No WiFi in the rooms, only in the café downstairs

Review 14:- Spacious - Really well furnished - Not far from the centre of Ouarzazate - Fantastic breakfast

Review 15:Terrible smell out of the sink in the bathroom!

Review 16:Very spacious apartment with kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a small balcony. Parking available next to the building.

Review 17:the location - we need a car to go to Ouarzazate. Difficulty to find the location first.

Review 18:location not expensive with a lot of comfort (Tv, clim, numerous rooms, kitchen..)

Review 19:the owner is only German speaking

Review 20:the owner was helpful with organising the car trip to the desert

Review 21:poor bathroom and kitchen

Review 22:breakfast

Review 23:Large comfortable apartment - good place for a short stop in Ouarzazate. Very friendly staff.

Review 24:previous guest had not washed pots/plates properly

Review 25:stove to heat water and make tea, better than average breakfast

Review 26:If it is an appartement with furnished cookery, there could be a tea as we found in other riads in Morocco

Review 27:Good breakfast Good value for money

Review 28:Personal did not speak English. Personal recomended very expensive taxi. In my room was not internet access.

Review 29:Soft bed

Review 30:We booked a normal room and got a free upgrade to a full appartment :-)

Review 31:Location

Review 32:Nothing worth mentioning. No cold water in bathroom sink but not really a problem.

Review 33:Fantastic hotel in a quiet area of town handy for the airport (but no noise from planes at night!) Very friendly staff, superb breakfast and embarcadero value for money. Many thanks!

Review 34:Room is so full of forniture that it's actually a little difficult to reach the bed!

Review 35:They have small flats, with two rooms, kitchen, bathroom, two sofa, tables and TV! The staff is kind and gentile, good place to stay for a night or a week if you need

Review 36:All was OK

Review 37:Very large appartments, very clean and confortable. Nice, useful and polite staff. High quality/price ratio! Ouarzazate is an elegant city to discover.

Review 38:Incorrect directions to accommodation. Toilet smelled terrible (bad sewage) and the place was quite dirty. The double bed had hairs all through it. It was clear that the sheets had not been changed since the last person stayed. We ended up sleeping in the 2 separate single beds which were marginally better but used our sleeping bag liners for some extra piece of mind. I would not recommend this as a place to stag if you like your accommodation to be clean on your arrival.

Review 39:We got lost because the directions on booking.com are incorrect. While the address is correct, when using the directions link, booking.com sends you to a different part of town. We called the owner who happily drove to fetch us. Lucky he knew a little English! The location was close enough to the main square (15 mins walk). The breakfast was basic but good.

Review 40:Location is not that great, in a small side road a fair way from the centre and hard to find. The owner was helpful enough, but not very friendly

Review 41:Clean place, nice apartment, nice breakfast, quiet, good value for money

Review 42:Feeble WiFi, pretty hard to find it even driving a car. We've read the place is located somewhere near the airport, however we've driven to the airport and had to have a police escort (fun!) to show us the way to the place.

Review 43:Although the checkin deadline had passed, the guy at the reception still was there, the appartment was pretty much perfect, very spacious, maybe bit cold, but I guess that only matters for 3 weeks in a year.

Review 44:One really feels at home when staying at Rosas. It is noticeable that you are staying in a family hotel and not a chain owned hotel. Apartments well equipped and very clean. On my return i stayed again.

Review 45:A very underdeveloped and almost post-apocolyptic location. You better have a rental car if staying here.

Review 46:Good value in terms of square footage for the money.

Review 47:Nothing.

Review 48:Their room is really big as if we spent a night in an apartment(though we booked a double room). Since we have all facilities such as kitchen in our room!!! And the staff are very nice and friendly.

Review 49:No wifi, throughout as advertised. Accommodated on 5th floor even though lower ones of same cost we're free. Located on a busy building site, next to an airport and military base.

Review 50:Residence is inconveniently located far from the center / bus station (5 min. and several dirhams by petite taxi). One of the rooms in a smaller apartment was without any fresh air and extremely unpleasant for sleeping with no A/C and with no windows to the outside (only to a closed and noisy inner staircase). The beds were a bit tough. The bathrooms were not very clean.

Review 51:We booked two Studios (2 Adults) and an Apartment (3 Adults) - what we got was two separate complete and spacious apartments with 2 and 3 rooms; altogether with 9 beds, plus sitting sofas. One apartment had a kitchen. Breakfast is plenty and tasteful (croissants, fresh bread, jam, coffee). There is a bar / restaurant at the ground floor of the building (we hadn't tried it though).

Review 52:The gentleman at receiption was very helpful in finding us a taxi, to take us around the city. The taxi cost was very low and affordable . His communication skill was good. The breakfast was good with a few extra cups of coffee included in the price ( very generous ). Will definitely recommend Residance Rosas to other travellers, infact Rosas was recommended to me by a friend.

Review 53:It's a little out of town so best for those with transport - weweren't there long enough to seek out any local restaurants or shopsand drove into town for a meal. Having said that, the facilities for self-catering on a longer stay were excellent.

Review 54:We stayed one night on our way to Marrakech. Our apartment was clean, well furnished and equipped, and comfortable, although only one bedroomhad air conditioning, and the staff friendly and helpful. For what wepaid - 10 euro each including an excellent breakfast - it was amazingvalue for money.

Review 55:It was a nice experience in Residence Rosas. Although its location is a little bit far away from the city center, it will be no problem with a rental car. The apartment was large and well equiped. The staff there was also quite helpful. They gave us some useful suggestions on driving to the desert.

Review 56:For those people who don't speak French it migh be problem that thestaff doesn't speak English. Also, you should take into account thatthe Residence is not in the center of Ourzazate and it takes around 20minutes to walk to the bus station.

Review 57:I was in Ourzazate with a group of 10 friends traveling acrossMorocco and we stayed in Residence Rosas for 4 nights. The apartmentsare new, spacious, each with bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, allnicely designed with stylish furniture. The arrangement makes youfeel like home (you can even get an apartment with a baby-bed). Theapartments are cleaned everyday. The staff is very friendly andflexible (I.E. they prepared breakfast early in the morning if weasked for that). The breakfast is very nice, with fresh bread, croissants and espresso coffee.

Review 58:No any complains.

Review 59:It is nice appartments with too much space, clean. It was best hotel we had in Marrocco (we were in a 6 hotels).

Review 60:Staff was not exactly helpful, cleanliness was fair

Review 61:Easy to find

Review 62:Location comfort room and food.

Review 63:Nothing special to comment,

Review 64:Breakfast, big appartments, quiet at night

Review 65:very big appartment with kitchen ,oven . really passionate guy to help us!

Review 66:No Wifi in rooms

Review 67:Big rooms, clean and good breakfast

Review 68:Everything was working and we had no problems.

Review 69:the price changed and owner applies expensive change rate (40 euro became 44 euro!!)

Review 70:the breakfast is basic but fresh and good!

Review 71:Very clean and quite hotel. Huge room with nice kitchen! Nice people in hotel staff.

Review 72:The hotel was clean. The appartment was huge. The staff was very friendly.

Review 73:Not a great location in a real run down area and difficult to find. Breakfast pretty poor and basic

Review 74:Good size rooms and host spoke good english

Review 75:Staff was really friendly and spoke English enough to understand each other. It took me 2 min by petit-taxi from bus station and 5 DH.

Review 76:No heating, but that just bothers you in winter. However the sheets were warm enough.

Review 77:Friendly personell, calm place, delicious breakfast.

Review 78:No wifi in the room
