Review 1：Arrange a transfer to the bus stop over 24 hours in advanced (like they request) however the member of staff at the hostel began drinking so couldn't take us and the other member of staff never turned up. Therefore with 10mins till our bus was due to leave we had to rely on a backpacker to give us a lift instead! Very stressful!!
Review 2：Friendly staff, nice pool and hammock area to relax, free pool table
Review 3：I had a snoring dormmate that drove me and another guy bonkers. I tried to go to sleep at 12:30am but had enough by 2:30am. Ended up sleeping in my car and decided not to stay the 2nd night I had booked. They decided not to give any refund.

Review 5：- cleanness : Kept to bare minimum - noisy (u can hear people outside talking and everyone passing by to go outside or to the toilet,...) - tiny rooms - no lockers - Only 1 bathroom inside (you have to go outside of the house where rooms are for the other bathroom) - A hefty 3$ surcharge if u pay by credit card (Detail that has not been mentionned at the time of booking...) This hostel is the worst i've ever stayed at so far and i was glad that it was only for one night :( :(...

Review 8：Blankets weren't very warm and there was only one power point for 6 beds. The hostel was completely full so powerpoints were hard to come by
Review 9：The facilities were good, nice party atmosphere that winds down early enough to get a decent sleep. As a female in a mixed dorm i felt safe and book here again.
Review 10：Booked into the hostel and a deciding factor was the wifi as i had been on a farm in the middle of no where for four months. It just about worked when i first arrived then they turned it off as people hadnt washed up and from then on didnt work and they kept making excuses up also my room had no sockets in it

Review 12：The day I checked out I could leave my backpack there until 21:00 when I was leaving for the bus. They even organised me a shuttle and I could take part in the free BBQ. Pretty nice of them!! They even sell cold cans for 1,50!!!!

Review 16：Anna couldn't do enough for you when you arrived, really helpful if you had any questions. Really close to supermarket and a free bus takes you to the beach. Lots of entertainment, usually have free wifi but wasn't working when we visited but Anna was trying to fix it as it was out of their control.

Review 18：This place is so awesome I come here on my weekends off and I have an absolute ball, the staff are so lovely they really look after you and everyone that stays there is lovely! This is the place to be!! It's like a wee family and if your good to them they're good to you! If you misbehave once, there's no second chance, I think it's great that trouble makers are kicked out on the spot! Seriously you couldn't find a better place to stay and you'll never find a better bunch of people! They will honestly do anything to help you!

Review 36：After travelling around Australia as a nurse last year and living in Backpacker's Accomodation; Newcastle Backpackers would have to be MY FAVOURITE Backpackers that I have stayed in :-) Loved the staff, the environment, the dorm/rooms, the layout, the helpful and laid back atmosphere. The two permanent receptionist/manager ladies went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. The city a hop, step and a jump away to the right down King Street and Beaumont Street-Hamilton a hop, step and a jump away to the left.
