Review 1：We booked a hour before arrival. No-one was there, it was all dark and a note on the door with a number but no area code. When we finally got to call the man answering only said 4 words after a deep sigh like oh no... guests! After another 10 minutes of waiting some lady arrived and started rambling to us in portuguese. Us having no clue what she was talking about made her mad She walked away and we heard furniture moving around. Without a word she left, pointing to our room. That was the last time we seen her or anyone else. Next morning, after a long and frightening noght all alone in the hotel we found *breakfast* next morning. Meaning: 4 slices of old bread each, witc cheese or jam, a week ago expired yoghurt or sour milk. We also found some rotten dried mandarines and a fluffy green one more or less hidden. This was the most expensive hotel during our time on Madeira and really never seen anything like this in my life. A horror hotel that no-one should ever go to!!!!!!! There was no-one for the check out so we just left after breakfast..... bizarre!!
