Reviews for Hotel Posada Osorio

Review 1:-dont expect anything fancy or glamorous and you should be ok -a coat of paint would have gone a long way to not being so ghetto -pillows were straight ghetto

Review 2:-wifi was great for work -secure parking -great location -

Review 3:Not safe or secure, anyone from the street can walk up to your room and someone did so we slept with bed blocking the door. Did not feel safe! We had cockroaches so big my sister thought they were scorpions. Generally did not feel at ease, we're glad to leave and shortened our stay wouldn't recommend to small group of females perhaps better if in a couple or bigger group? Would suggest haggling on price?

Review 4:Closing to ADO

Review 5:Toilet had no seat. Fan made a loud whooping sound at every revolution. Pillows were filled with LUMPS of cotton. The bed rocked like a boat in water at every motion. The Initial staff person we met was very unfriendly. The younger ones were friendly enough but not always competent. When we finally got a different room, there was no hot water for a while. Also, construction involving breaking of concrete was on-going, making not only noise but terrible dust so we had to keep windows and doors closed.

Review 6:Free wi-fi. Location.

Review 7:The staff nice and polite and ready to help you . The location is nearby the centre but in a quite place so you can relax. The room simple but clean with a good wifi .

Review 8:- The bathroom draining system is bad that sewage flood from the bathtub when flushing...

Review 9:- 5 minutes walking distance from the city center (However the location shown in map provide by booking.com is TOTALLY WRONG! We walked south with heavy luggages along Calle 40 to the location between calle 43 and calle 45 as shown in the map. Unfortunately we couldn't find the hotel because we finally found that the hotel is actually located in the north of calle 40 between calle 33 and calle 35!!) - good wifi - clean and a new soap provide every night we stay

Review 10:nothing.

Review 11:location is perfect, close to square and cenote Zaki. very simple room. It has just bed, but very comfortable bed. we stopped in Valladolid just for one day and this place is good value for the money we paied.

Review 12:When we left at 7:30 am the owner/manager hadn't yet put on the coffee for the morning coffee service. If that's the worst you can say it's not bad.

Review 13:The location was good, only a few blocks walk to the center of town. Plenty of parking available. The room was basic but clean. Not 5-star but not 5-star pricing either.

Review 14:The toilet had no Ring to sit;so for European People it is a New experience :-)

Review 15:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we got every Second Day a fresh Towel. That hotel is nice to stay for visiting chichen itza or Ek Balam.i could recommend it.

Review 16:Not a stick of furniture in the room cept 2 beds.No chair,no place to put cloths. But if ur a backpacker...so what!

Review 17:Staff was very friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable, was quiet...which made for a good night sleep.

Review 18:Very nice and helpful Staff. Two blocks to the center. Preaty big, clean, confortable rooms. Good WiFi. Restaurant on site, in which you can eat tasty and cheap.

Review 19:We have traveled enough to know that budget hotels are not always aesthetically pleasing, nonetheless they are functional. We have no complaints.

Review 20:We loved the close proximity to the ADO station, the plaza and the colectivos, all were within walking distance. We appreciated the quiet environment being in the heart of the city. The price was very legitimate for a private room and bath. Valladolid is a great place to branch out into the Yucatan and see ruins and cenotes. There is an authentic Mexican cultural feel there. We liked the fact that it was locally owned. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or unsafe in that area.

Review 21:TV in room was fuzzy. But you shouldn't be watching TV anyway. You should be out there seeing what Valladolid has to offer.

Review 22:Hot water Wifi was good Bed was comfortable Room was big Clean Cheap breakfasts/available Near the centre of town Quiet area Staff were very helpful

Review 23:It was perfect place in this town.

Review 24:Quiet but the walk was a bit far from the plaza due to the heat.

Review 25:No problems.

Review 26:Easy to find, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.

Review 27:nice, quiet location. short walk to main square. sweet staff and good wifi

Review 28:short walk from the main square. good wifi and friendly staff

Review 29:no closet or chair in the room

Review 30:good location nice room with bathroom and toiletrees

Review 31:furniture practically not exhisting.

Review 32:staff very friendly. good position. it is worth for the rate

Review 33:This hotel is very basic, just a place to stay for the night. It doesn't promise much but delivers all it does promise. Good value for the money.

Review 34:A little bit far from bus station and Zocalo. Wifi didn't work There was no hot water in the evening

Review 35:Everything else apart from below

Review 36:no english speaking staff (at all), no possibility to make your own tea/coffee, no possibility to make or order breakfast, very wet room, poor rate from usd to ms, they don't pick up the phone and answer to emails

Review 37:A toilet seat would have been great! Since they switched my room at the last minute I don't think it had been cleaned as thoroughly - cobwebs up on the ceiling and in the corner. A chair would have been nice too, but the price was so reasonable that I really can't complain too much!

Review 38:The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and willingly switched my room when I couldn't lock the deadbolt. It's about four blocks from the main square, on a very poorly lit street. The grandma directed me to a nearby loncheria (in Spanish-not sure if they speak any English) to get dinner. I suggest walking down calle 38 instead of 40 because it's better lit, then up 35 to calle 40. Wifi was great, lots of hot water, plenty of towels.

Review 39:The rooms all smell musty but despite this they are kept pretty clean and are good value.

Review 40:Really friendly and helpful staff. When I discovered my tv didn't work they immediately switched my room even though I'd already showered and was only staying one night. The hotel is perfectly located for both sightseeing and the bus terminal.

Review 41:Fans loud.

Review 42:Staff were friendly and helpful. Only Spanish spoken but that did not detract from a very nice experience as all were very kind. Good value for money.

Review 43:Very friendly staff. Location was very good - in a safe area and only ten minutes walk from the centre of town. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A nice touch was that they left some very useful magazine and information in the room on the surrounding area and places to visit.

Review 44:The internet played up a bit when we were there - really good on the first day but then kept cutting out on our second and third day.

Review 45:The owner was friendly and gave us a discounted rate when we extended our booking. The beds were really comfy, the shower was powerful and hot. The room was massive with two double beds. It was cleaned daily and we got free water bottles, soap and shampoo. Really quiet at night and the fan is extremely powerful. The cable TV was good too. I think the owners listen to feedback as following on from earlier reviews there are toilet seats, the pillows are no longer lumpy, there is no longer plastic on the mattresses, food is available to order and magazines on the local area are left in the room. We'd definitely go back.

Review 46:The staff had no record of my reservation, so I ended up getting charged twice, and since they only take cash and did not realize it until later I could not get a refund. The room was really plain and dirty. The reek of sewer from the ally outside my window was awful and the window was stuck shut. Valladolid was fantastic, but I would not recommend this hotel. You end up getting charged more like $40 anyway after fees, so you may as well book a better hotel.

Review 47:The internet worked most of the time

Review 48:Not the most attractive hotel, looks a bit like a car park from outside (but rooms are fine inside).

Review 49:Clean, good sized, comfortable rooms. Cafe on site which is great value for breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to main plaza. One of the cheapest hotels we found in Valladolid.

Review 50:This hotel provides only basic facilities in very bad condition. It ishardly bearable for one night. If you can, add few dollars and go tosome nicer place.

Review 51:The only thing that it is good is location. It is very close to thecenter of the city.

Review 52:If you'd prefer to have the luxury of a toilet seat or a shower thatis more than a plastic pipe in the wall, this will not work for you.

Review 53:It's very clean, cheap and right downtown: great.

Review 54:It was too clean. I have chemical senstivities and the amount of cleaning/anti odour products was almost repulsive. i had to air the place out before i could breathe. It was also very noisy from a very busy road beside it.

Review 55:cheap central location

Review 56:No word english spoken-unfriendly owner, price didn´t fit with theannoncement (only to be paid in pesos on a very poor"selfmade" exchange rate)

Review 57:Room, surroundings and facility was ok, cleaning staff too.

Review 58:Our room had only a fun, so it might be too hot in the hottest season. Winter time which is now is no problem. This hotel bans customers to bring alcohol in, so if you want to drink you have to be careful a little.

Review 59:I quite like this hotel. The room was simple but it's got everything you need. Good hot shower, wide beds, and speedy wifi. Although the window is facing the corridor, there is a big parking area between next building and the corridor, didn't feel airless at all. Room cleaning and bed making everyday. Only 2 blocks away from the zocalo. There is a beer-shop nearby.

Review 60:The location is perfect, a couple of blocks from downtown and most restaurants. The staff doesn't speak any English and the rooms are very basic with no AC. However they are clean and good value for the money.

Review 61:No toilet seat and the mattress was still in it's plastic packaging, with a sheet over it. No bed bugs, i guess, but it wasn't nice to sleep on.

Review 62:Good location in Valladolid just a couple of blocks from the main square.

Review 63:Addresses are a bit hard to find. Ask where the Casita China is and you'll save yourself some time (it's across the road).

Review 64:Clean but basic, good value for money though and quite close to the square.

Review 65:Not enough trees or green

Review 66:Price

Review 67:Shower was a limescale-encrusted dribbler, but everything else was excellent.

Review 68:The service was poor. The shower was very low pressure.

Review 69:It wasn't far from the Zaci centoe.

Review 70:Everything ... Worst than any hostel i Ever slept. Felt very unsecure. Dirty, no AC, noisy

Review 71:Nothing or only maybe the Price

Review 72:it is not the best, but it is ok for a couple of nights!

Review 73:Nothing. It was just what I wanted.

Review 74:It's near the centre of town, clean, and secure with a TV, Fan and very comfortable beds.

Review 75:Clean, Private parking

Review 76:Nice and quiet. Next to the main plaza and 10 mins away from the bus station. Good wifi. Friendly staff, but only Spanish spoken

Review 77:We stayed here three days and after the first night the room wasn't cleaned. However we mentioned this and it was cleaned after the second night.

Review 78:Location, just a couple of blocks from the main square, quick wifi, very clean rooms, price

Review 79:Good choice when you have a car (not in the center, parking).

Review 80:Big room in central location

Review 81:no morning coffee

Review 82:secure location for car. Internet signal was strong.

Review 83:all was ok

Review 84:near the Bus Station and town center

Review 85:On the outside it looks like I creapy motel, but rooms are fine. Could use an update (new paint etc.)

Review 86:Cheap, good location, rooms are OK

Review 87:The pool was not in use. It would have been nice to swim after walkingin the town.

Review 88:The staff was friendly but did not speak much english

Review 89:No toilet seat, only one outlet in the room

Review 90:friendly, quiet, cable tv, hot water in shower, good wi-fi, central

Review 91:Lumpy pillows and no toilet seat but got what you paid for.

Review 92:Value for money, good location and nice staff.

Review 93:No hot water

Review 94:You get what you pay. Good location
