Review 1："Standard" rooms are in original condition. That means that everything in them is as old as the hotel itself (~40 years old) and poorly functioning. The bathroom had broken faucets, blackened bath tub and the toilet itself was wobbly, I fearted that it would just break off. Though booking.com shows the rooms as "with or without" air conditioning, the difference between them is either renovated or "original". Even the rooms that had been upgraded had lots of issues as our friends booked one of those rooms. The bathroom door would not stay shut, the water was leaking, etc. Also, though I had booked a room with a "seaside view", my view was 75% obstructed by the building in front of us. I could only recommend the rooms at the upper floors and "with air conditioning" but even those are underequipped for the price.

Review 2：The hotel is positioned very close to the beach and some rooms have a beautiful view. That is the only upside i've found for this location.

Review 3：a journey in the past, years '70 - '80, the difference being made by the fact that at that time all the things were new ( towels, doors, windows, etc..) ; no toiletries except a very little soap and NO remote control for the oldest TV still in function

Review 5：Furniture is outdated, a bit more care from the cleaning staff would be great, also the lack of AC in the rooms makes it next to unbearable during the day. Detergent used for the sheets has a very strong, powerful smell.

Review 6：The hotel is nice, nicely staffed, relatively clean and the rooms are spacious enough, ours having even a nice-enough balcony (although anything other than sea-side view is pretty poor). Also, plenty of shops and nice places to eat around, very good pricing.

Review 7：In camera nu exista lustra sau bec, erau doar 2 lampi pe noptiere, seara daca aveai nevoie de ceva, doar cu blițul telefonului puteai cauta. Frigiderul zgomotos, mobilierul exagerat de vechi, televizorul era amplasat intr-un loc unde nu puteai sa vezi la el decat jumatate din imagine. Nu toate butoanele telecomenzii functionau. Perdeaua era intepenita. Erau 2 fotolii(scaune) murdare si scorojite. In baie este cada cu un dus care sta atarnat de un suport care nu se potriveste, deci trebuie sa il tii tu cand faci dus. Robinetul cu "rosu" pentru apa calda era pentru apa rece. Ruginit robinetul de la chiuveta. Pur si simplu nu s-a investit nimic in acest hotel de, cred, mai mult de 20 de ani.

Review 11：extremely dirty rooms, very old furniture, horrible smell, mildew all over, no cleaning or at least picking up the garbage in 3 days ... and the breakfast ... you should be prepared to wait in line for food to come as it is delivered in small quantities and nobody seems to care about this. I didn't had great expectations, on the contrary, but didn't imagined a 2 star hotel could imply filthy rooms, totally unhygienic bathrooms ... just terrible. There are only a few renovated rooms, only a few near the stairs and not on every floor, where the photos have been taken, so if you really want to try make sure you can get one of this before your arrival, although the entire hotel looks and smells old and dirty.

Review 12：They have two types of rooms, old rooms and new rooms, the old rooms areancient, fully rusted sink drain, very old towels, although the towelswhere clean they look very old and they had too many uses I could notwipe my body with them not event my feet. The new renovated rooms aredouble in price but given the overall condition of the hotel and thecity its in the price is too high, instead of Olimp you could go toMamaia for the same amount of money. The beach in front of the hotel isok but sea-weeds gather in the golf that is in front and the bottom isvery rocky, but it is not far from a very beautiful beach in Neptun soyou could go there.

Review 15：. This hotel is pre communist and was built in the70'S. It has not been modernised at all, in fact I would say it is semi derelict but fantastically retro. Any other person may make 100 complaints about the aesthetics of this hotel but I found it quite charming and an experience in itself. It was very basic but clean. I was the only foreign person there with 100% romanian occupancy. The staff are speaking very little or no English but on the whole are quite friendly. Entertainment is as old fashioned as the decor but quite charming... In the evening a man in a sequin jacket playing an electric organ and a clown making balloons for the children. The beach is great. £3 to hire bed and unbrella. The neighbouring resort is Neptune which is walkable, where the beech is better and there is more to do in the evening, very cheap tourist shops, bars and restaurants At the Amfiteutru there is a choice of two or three hotel restaurants all selling really tasty Romanian food....so cheap, meal of the day, 3 courses only £4 and really good oven baked pizza I hope this review will help any English speakers ...as I found it hard to find any information on this place when researching it myself

Review 28：Stayed there 12 years ago. Then it was lovely-nice rooms and new showers and toilets. Don,t think anything has been replaced since. Shower was all black at foot and we did not have our room cleaned apart from a quick tidy of the toilet.Had to ask for clean towels and bed linen was not changed although we were there for 6 nights. This hotel we really like but it has dropped its standards and therefore we would not stay there again until we were guaranteed it had been refurbished. Know it was taken over 5 years ago but the owner has not done much we gathered. This is not the standard we have received from booking.com over the past 8 years and we were very disappointed.

Review 33：We stayed for one night during the weekend in two old vintage rooms and were wondering if we'll contact any desease or meet ghosts, but in the end none of these happened. The bathroom and the furntiure are very old, the carpet is old too and it is disgustful, the twin beds are unconfortable. The beach in the front of the hotel is small and crowded in the weekend. If you like adventure try your luck and stay for one night in a vintage (old) room. If you want a normal vacation or to stay more nights choose a new rom.
