Review 9：It's located in a very convenient area in Laguna and right on the beach. The shuttle is available to take you anywhere in the Laguna area.

Review 10：The service is generally poor as most of the people don't speak good English so it is difficult to communicate. It is very hard to get cheese like Edam or Gouda or cheddar at breakfast, they only have the Brie and blue cheese. The room had a nice view but it was so far and on another floor, so if you have kids it will be better to book low floor closer to the pool.

Review 13：A beautiful setting with the Laguna on one side and beach on the other. The swimming pools were ideal for our 18 month old daughter while the slide was fun no matter what age you are! The staff were very good, food delicious and we also enjoyed walking along the beach and stopping at the little Pine Tree Bar to watch the sunset with a beer.

Review 18：The poolside was too crowded. It felt like a marketplace. The pool steps are made of rough pebble wash and we all had scratches and scrapes - most unsuitable material for a pool. Sunken tub & shower, with steep steps to climb in, was a hazard for very young and very elderly.

Rooms are great for a small young family. Larger or families with older children should request a second adjoining room. Beautiful and clean location. Can't wait to return.

Review 34：I joined the Phuket Triahtlon event. Perfect location. My ocean view room was about 20 steps from starting point. Great service. Staffs are well trained and helpful.

Review 35：Service in general is excruciatingly slow, probably because some of their staff do not speak languages, and the ones who do have to pass on orders and requests to other staff members, and many times things get "lost in translation". The Activate staff ( sports and activities) are mostly unpleasant and rude, most of them don't speak any foreign languages. Instead of trying to resolve problems, they raise their voices, and that's the end of discussion...

Review 36：This hotel is located right on the beach, with beautiful views of the Ocean. The property in general is very clean and comfortable. The food in their 3 restaurants is delicious (with some overlap of the menus). They offer many water sports, and other activities. There are many "off site" restaurants, shops and massage places within walking distance from the resort. They management team is very responsive to all concerns and complaints, and seem to be genuinly interested in improving their staff and services.

Review 37：Problem with this Hotel is the management.Requested a ground floor room due to an impairment.Given top floor room. Repairs to lift on one day couldn't get to room.Requested early check in, management emailed advising that would cost another night sent email back advising no problem, happy to pay. On arrival told room not ready and they had not confirmed.

Review 43：When I go away I love to sleep and relax in Sun by the pool but that never happened. Too many kids in the adult pool. They had their own pool but no staff nor their parents said otherwise. That made me feel very unrelaxed.the other thing is the staff around the pool never came around to see if we want drinks or even show us a menu. Ever time we waved them down they just looked at us like we disturbed them. It wasn't worth the money.

Review 49：This is really a quite family hotel. We were there with a 5-years old, so quite happy, however for singles/young couples it can be boring. Local restaurants are quite expensive (but you can easily go outside). Cleaning is quite unpredictable, can be done between 11am and 4pm, we've ended up calling room service and asking to clean up "right now" when we were leaving the room. Sometimes we'd had little lizards sneaking into our room, that was rather funny.

Review 50：Great beach - clean, sandy, almost nobody there. Amazing Laguna territory, very clean and even unusual for Thailand. Lot of staff and they are super-friendly. You can travel between hotels using shuttle bus. Good swimming pools and kids club. Lively territory outside the Laguna area. Rooms are good and spacious.

I know she was probably trying not to influence us in what to choose, but in our case, it would have been helpful to have a more open conversation regarding day tours.

We arrived quite early and our room was not ready yet for early check in however we were given free buffet breakfast and also given the use of another room until our room was ready. Our 'real' room took a bit longer than expected however it was not a big deal and the staff were very kind and helpful. Pools were terrific and although it was very much a family resort, there was plenty of space and seating to allow everyone to spread out. We opted for the 'club room' which meant access to free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the day and free evening cocktails, wine, beer and more snacks.

Review 58：When i booked on booking.com i went for the upgraded room at £216 instead of the basic room at £190 for 3 nights but upon arrival i was asked if i would like to upgrade to the club room with a sea view for a extra 1000thb around £17 per night if i knew they would ask me to upgrade i would have booked a basic room and then upgraded saved £26. might be a idea to book the basic room and upgrade on arrival. the hotel has limited restraunts to eat at although they say there is 3 restraunts after you have eat at them morning day and night your sick of them not to mention they are really expensive i.e masaman curry 400baht £8, we walked along the beach and found a small thi restraunt to eat at cheap and great food. The beach needs improving along the hotel front a bit of rubbish around, although the beach is still nice and the water is nice.

Review 72：Although fairly expensive for Thailand we really enjoyed being at Outrigger. Everything you need is provided on resort. We went out of season so it was fairly quiet. It is right next to a beautiful beach, which is extremely easy to access by just a step. The water is clear, the waves are strong. We saw people jet ski. The swimming pool is lovely, with a small slide, great for the kid in us. The room was lovely, big, clean and had everything we needed. We opted for the 'club', where you get breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks/nibbles in the evening. If you like Asian breakfast then you will love the breakfast. They provide omelette, any eggs you desire, bacon and sausages as well, but that really isn't as good as the Asian option. You are in Thailand after all. They were generous with the evening drinks. The gym was brilliant - big with good equipment. You can access the other resorts by free boat or free shuttle. They organise taxis for you if you want to go beyond the resort. The staff are really really really wonderful, thank you guys!

Review 75：- Location is far from main attractions in Phuket, it is nice if you’re there for a relaxing spot and you don’t want to leave the resort, otherwise, consider a min. of 30 min. drive (taxi charge is min. of BAT 700 each way) for areas like, Patong beach area, big Budha, airport, NAKA night market (on Sat. and Sun.) - Other than the club house, only one restaurant in this big resort (Thai food we had was okay though) - Breakfast was disappointing even in the club house, no variety at all, we stayed for 7 nights, I almost had an omelet and pancake every day. - The construction works, although not a lot of noise, but the feeling you look outside and see a construction site by the pool is not what you really want travelling to Phuket -Some of the staff were really friendly and helpful, others were dull, and we were disappointed in the laguna area there is the village shops a mall, an elephant farm, which no body from the staff really recommended, even if you ask, they would not tell, some of them stumbled in English and couldn’t describe (that could be the reason) - They serve pork a lot, so be careful if you don’t eat it, you need to ask every time

Quite far from Patong beach area, about 30-40 minutes taxi ride so its quite inconvenient if you plan on spending most time in the city.

Review 93：This is our second stay at the resort, it has changed a lot since 4 years back. All the beach shops blocking the beach view is gone and move to the side which is good. Due to new Thai regulations, everything is moved away from the beach, so the few restaurants on the beach (very very nice!) is unfortunately gone, only one is left and moved away from the beach, but half as charming. Although you have plenty of restaurants close by, but not really walking distance, unless to use the free shuffle bus and walk the remaning distance. I got a complementary cake on my birthday which was a nice treat! The staff is great, so are the rooms, Comfort and fascilities. Overpriced (like the whole Laguna area) but really good food in the restaurant. WiFi is excellent.

Just a few things to note, the sand on Bangtao beach is quite rough so better wear shoes esp if you have young kids. we saw big tree trunks brushed up to the beach by the waves but no one cleaned them up. Rooms are a little old but still clean. We did not get free room upgrade as the other resort we stayed during this trip, in the end we topped up some money to upgrade both rooms to ocean view. Glad we did, as the location of the ocean view rooms is much more convenient comparing to the laguna view rooms, and i love listening to the waves to sleep. Of course it would be perfect if the upgrade was free.

Review 133：The staff are really friendly, esp Karon who received us when we checked in. She greeted us with warm smiles and caring voices every time we met, making us feel very welcomed. She also tried her best to accommodate our special needs/requests as we have a 1 year old baby traveling along with us. The resort also sent us a complimentary birthday cake on my husband's birthday, very tasty indeed. Resort facilities are good, we love the pool, the beach, the restaurants, the sea view from room, the kids club and many more. The laguna area is big and we could take free shuttle bus and boat to go around for shopping/playing at elephant park/peeping other resorts in the same area. The Angsana Spa in this resort is amazing, my husband and I had our best spa experience ever there even though we only opted for a 30 min back massage. Sunset from hotel's beach is breath taking. Overall it was a great stay and i am missing it already.

Review 134：Awesome breakfast. Superb scenic resort. Our stay at the resort was only for one day but most of the time was booked for a day trip. But after seeing the resort I cancelled my day trip, stayed in the resort and enjoyed it. Good private beach. Excellent massage in perfect boutique spa.

Review 135：Kids club was a bit hidden away in its own corner of the hotel, the lighting is too dark for playing and reading, and the quality of activities were not amazing.

Review 136：Club lounge - excellent personal service Club lounge offered reasonable selection of buffet breakfast. Afternoon tea selection included a selection of cakes, sandwiches, biscuits and fruits. Evening snacks was only 3 cooked items (changes nightly), plus a few cold items (not amazing). Evening alcohol drinks was wine, beer, a small selectionof cocktails (including pina colada, mai tai, and two others). Bedroom was well designed, and also included a double sized day bed in a bay window type corner, that could comfortably sleep two kids. Swimming pool and water slide was great fun! We went in June and the weather was superb with only a little bit of rain. The swimming pool water temperature was pleasantly warm.
