Review 3：We spent our wedding night at the Director room. When we arrived in the middel of the nicht, the reception welcomed us with great pleasure and guide us to the room. The room was magnificent, well worth the money. Great bed and bathroom combination with lounge area in contemporary design. Very attentive personnel serving great breakfast as well.

Review 7：The hotel itself. At breakfast we asked for hot chocolate milk. They did not have it anymore, but offered us a chocolate ball that we could melt instead, that they normally sell.

Review 9：The fascination of staying in an old jail was enhanced by how cleverly the place had been renovated! Very cleverly done and although it has been a jail in the past (very obvious) we felt very comfortable. Great location within walking distance of gezellig Roermond and the excellent outlet village.

Review 79：Nothing really. As in many design hotels the rooms could do with warmer lighting, but that's a minor caveat. Ask for the wine menu before ordering the wine, so as to avoid misunderstandings, the restaurant is excellent but cheap it ain't.

Review 80：Hotel in an original setting (a former prison, with the steel doors still present) and a central location (not difficult in Roermond). Very confortable rooms (most complete bathroom kit ever, even includes washing cloth), excellent restaurant, friendly and helpfull staff, computer available for hotel guests), etc. Definitely worth a detour. Roermond is not a big town but is an excellent base to discover Limburg (good railway connections).

Review 81：The dinner. The food is to complicated and it takes too much timebetween dishes. A 4 dishes menu took 3 hours with more than 30minutes between dishes. A little of simplicity can improve a lot thefood served.

Review 90：The hotel was immaculate; the rooms were comfortable and very clean. The staffs were friendly, helpful and all spoke good English (very useful when your Dutch is as poor as mine!). The hotel is just a short walk from everything that Roermond has to offer. Breakfast was good, a nice selection on offer. I strongly recommend that anyone who stays at Het Arresthuis dine in the Damianz restaurant at least once during their stay, book in advance it appeared to be very popular. I had the four “most beautiful creations” of the chef and I chose to go with the recommended wine package. Each course and each wine was served with enthusiasm and with a full description by the waiting staff, beautiful is a fair description of both presentation and flavour. With all the little extras the meal was a little bit pricey but I think it was worth it for a treat!
