Reviews for Cabanas Sao Jorge Village
Review 1:The welcome wasn't overly friendly but not unpolite. The cabanas have a damp smell which is offputting. Ok for one night. The location isn't particularly good - nice view of the sea if you're in a sea-view cabana but otherwise the cabanas aren't very near anything.
Review 2:The food in the restaurant is very nice. The breakfast was good. Nice restaurant staff and good service.
Review 3:Swimming pool - better avoid Breakfast served from 9 a.m which is quite late if you want to go for some trekking, what's more once we needed to wait additional 20 min as dining room was closed
Review 4:The idea of these buildings is interesting, but they are quite old and seedy
Review 5:- Not much to choose from for breakfast - Wi-Fi access only available near the main building
Review 6:- Friendly and helpful staff - Nice and clean rooms - A beauty spot with great overview of the northern coast near by - Bus stop right in front of the main building - Great value for the price
Review 7:Cant get to the see at all. The cabanas are humid. All our stuff was humid, all! No soap and complementarity. No wifi.
Review 8:The houses are romantic...like for elfs. The flowers are pretty in the property. Cheap, we paid 39 euros for night + breakfast. Breakfast was typical (but good). Restaurant was good, but expensive.
Review 9:The pillows could have been thicker and softer, but these thin and flat pillows seem to be common on most Madeiran hotels. My husband like them, though.
Review 10:Wonderful, peaceful and safe garden, well kept. Clean, fresh and familiar. Very nice staff! The location outside the village with the wonderful view over the ocean.
Review 11:Interesting village with nice view. Breakfast was good. Room facilities a little bit outdated and in need for some small improvement.
Review 12:Restaurant wine selection was excellent.
Review 13:the room smelt damp, we booked for 2 nights but left after 1 its not very good

Review 22:No refrigerator
Review 23:The vieuw
Review 24:Musty smelling, cold room. Had to ask for our lumpy pillows to be changed. Grounds looked like they needed a post winter clean up.
Review 25:We stayed for two nights in February and it was very quiet. Lovely views over the cliffs and out to sea with wood burning fires going in the lounge and restaurant.
Review 26:It's a bit distant from everything, nearby restaurants are at least 15 minutes by car over curvy roads. (The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good though, but not for several days in a row :)) It is VERY quiet in the off-season, we were there for 3 days at the beginning of october and we were the only guests. Our room smelled a bit 'old' when we came in but leaving the window open for a day improved that.
Review 27:Very pretty bungalows with a nice 'village' atmosphere and beautiful views across the northern coastline and atlantic ocean. The staff is nice, the breakfast is a very good buffet (even though we were the only guests at the time).
Review 28:They don't offer free wifi in the room but there is a games room available to the guests and can use free wifi there.
Review 29:Bungalow was clean and comfortable. We loved the quiet stay and nice relaxing area in front of our room overlooking the beautiful views! The breakfast was simple but good! The staff speak English well and he is very friendly. We enjoyed a beautiful Madeira levada walk! I think the best way to explore Madeira Island is by car. You will have the chance to stop at small villages and see special sights :)
Review 30:The "Interior" Swimming Pool was dirty and the water was cold. The room had ants all over the place. The breakfast is poor. The bed isrealy bad.
Review 31:-breakfast started at 9.00 - no wi-fi in bungalows

Review 33:the most beautiful views (unless clouds...) friendly staff, good hotel service, swimming pool, good location for trips
Review 34:exelent view and location for those who likes a nature and mountains!
