Reviews for Country House Ca' Vernaccia
Review 1:A bit out of the way down a country lane but don't let that deter you
Review 2:A location away from urban Ubino. Country atmosphere damped by rain and mist. Excellent dinner and breakfast .
Review 3:Main dislike is that the food on the regular menu (other than truffles) was really bad. Order food from special Guests menu. That one was so much better. Can not understand this huge difference. Staff could be a bit more welcoming.
Review 4:Beautiful setting, clean and nice apartments, very close to Urbino.
Review 5:Even though it's wonderful outside, you have to eat in the cellar, which is comfortable but without atmosphere. Plus: you can't rent a vespa or a car in Urbino, which makes the hotel difficult to reach.
Review 6:The two brothers who run the hotel are simply lovely! Helpful, amusing, open to unorthodox solutions to help the customer.
Review 7:Breakfast consisted mainly of overly sweet cakes etc. This is common in Italy. No WiFi in the room and poor where available.
Review 8:Good location close to Urbino,if you have a car.Felt very authentic.Lovely views of the countryside.
Review 9:When it is really hot, the rooms can use an airco or insect screens.
Review 10:Great location and accommodation. Very nice restaurant, great food and very friendly staff.
Review 11:impossible to find as not an accurate address and not found on sat nav. needed someone to drive out to Urbina to guide us in as we arrived at night. We had a self catering apartment but fridge was not on neither was gas supply, so could have a coffee. Service was not friendly and English was a problem for all the staff/owners and we didn't speak Italian. Breakfast consisted of weak fruit juice and custard brioche but coffee was good. We did not have breakfast the 2nd morning.
Review 12:good location once you've found the place as out in the country with lovely views, great for a dog ! The property well restored, with cooling fans in bedroom
Review 13:The road down is rough and ready but perfectly safe and drivable.
Review 14:Beautiful spot with great views. Very comfortable room in old farmhouse. Warm welcome. Excellent good value dinner. Some interesting places to walk but it would be useful if the hotel had maps/information about this.
Review 15:The hotel is very close to Urbino, and the location is very beautiful - however it is true, that a bumpy road leads to the house. We had a slightly dark, but comforable room which was perfect for one night. We decided to have dinner in the hotel and it tourned out to be a very good idea - the man who served us the traditional italian food and the wine of the house was very helpful, and the food was also delecious and big portion! The breakfast was different sweet pastries and good coffee and pineapple juice. It was a great stay, I can recommend the Ca Vernaccia!
Review 16:Room was a little dark and a bit tired-looking. Wifi didn't work well in the room.
Review 17:This farmhouse is not far out of Urbino and you get the best view of the city as you drive down the lane towards the house. Everyone was welcoming and most helpful. There is a small restaurant on site - its specialism is truffles that the owner searches out with his dog throughout the year.
Review 18:The property could be amazing but it looked so tired. Maybe we were early in the season, but I wouldn't recommend the location to travelers in April.
Review 19:Beautiful sunrise after a restful night. Great coffee and breakfast served with a smile. Dinner was divine. Steep road in good repair, easy to arrive and depart.
Review 20:Comfortable bright and clean room with a modern bathroom. The location of the restaurant on site with good traditional foods (with truffle optional) made it unnecessary to drive by car at night to find a place to have dinner. A very generous breakfast was included and served in the restaurant each morning. Although the road to the house was quite steep and unpaved it was worth it for the views across the countryside. Umberto was a great host.
Review 21:The lights were a little too dim and the beds a little hard for our old bones.
Review 22:Food was delicious, position beautiful, owner and staff very friendly. A really beautiful setting with a charming rustic conversion of an old farm house. A really lucky find. Could have stayed for weeks.
Review 23:Food at restaurant. Accommodation could have even better, only one bedside light provided. All a bit tired even though there seem to be plenty of guest and income.
Review 24:Views
Review 25:The steep access road, that brings you in the middle of a rural area
Review 26:Welcoming staff, and good service at breakfast and dinner if you choose for it. The rooms are clean, quiet and you can enjoy staying in the garden. An excellent location if you wish to stay overnight halfway Italy.
Review 27:The breakfast was poor and low quality. The room was not soundproof and we could hear clearly all the toilet noises from the next room. Not very good access trough a downhill dirt road.
Review 28:Located in a nice spot in the nature not very far from Urbino. Nice friendly people.
Review 29:Could not have a shower because there was no hot water. The tv set was tiny.
Review 30:Thelocation and the view and above all the food,
Review 31:Very bad breakfast.
Review 32:Peace and quiet. Authenticity.
Review 33:Gorgeous place and great food
Review 34:all ok
Review 35:A lovely on site restaurant. Owners put deck chairs out for us after the meal to watch the stars. Very romantic.
Review 36:The breakfast was very little (one pastry for two people) and you could not choose what type of pastry you wanted.
Review 37:Very nice house outside of urbino
Review 38:It was very very hot with no AC in the room
Review 39:The view is amazing
Review 40:Beautiful, quite and friendly place. Excellent diner!
Review 41:The host was wonderful. The position was wonderful. It is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and beautiful countryside.
Review 42:Atitude & cisina
Review 43:not much choice at breakfast
Review 44:lovely atmosphere with wonderful food.
Review 45:Breakfast. If you want to have egg, cheese or ham, you need to pay 2 euro for each. They serve only sweet cookies.

Review 50:Service Setting Food was great
Review 51:Bad road.
Review 52:Rustic, simple. Close to Urbino.
Review 53:Although quite a steep road down to the house it was worth it. The setting is magical and Dominic and Umberto are wonderful hosts. Rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. I would suggest guests have their dinner at the house, the food is excellent and very good value, and the service by Umberto most enjoyable. We can recommend it highly to others.
Review 54:Mosquitoes had a feast in bedroom - 16 bites overnight so bring aerosol and thoroughly blitz the room before you sleep.
Review 55:Nice clean basic hotel. Very friendly, Umberto in restaurant very co-operative
Review 56:Lovely atmosphere, good and reasonably priced food, very nice room with balcony (wheelchair access and facilities), very quiet. And easy access to Ancona.
Review 57:Do not miss this if you want a rustic, homey atmosphere. Very clean..Crisp, thick sheets. Great shower. Very romantic. Dominic and Umbertoare the perfect and unassuming owners, working hard all the time torestore the premises, stone by stone, by stone.. And educating theguests. Be sure to eat dinner here for any pasta dish, especiallywith their home dug truffles.. And the Vina de la Casa.. And theseared chops.. Et al. Yum. Careful if you are driving down the dirtroad, especially if at night for the first time. This is a gem.. Andgreat value.
Review 58:I liked the environment and ambience, as well as the style of the hotel.Food was particularly good in their own restaurant and breakfast was setattractively. The staff was really kind and helpful. I recommendstrongly this place to everyone!

Review 65:Beautiful location, extremely comfortable bed, very friendly staff
Review 66:Country views within easy reach of Urbino at a reasonable price. Very enjoyable stay.
