Reviews for Stella D'Oro
Review 1:The wi fi was down in the whole area (not fault of the hotel but still inconvenient).
Review 2:The way to the village is rather dramatic, but the village is amazing!
Review 3:There was a problem with the internet connection the day we were there.
Review 4:It has a nice terrace with a swimming pool, ideal to relax. It has a fair view of the lake, not so good as I expected from the other reviews, but exactly what I expected from the pictures in the booking.com website.
Review 5:Pool was cold although the weather was so hot it was ok.
Review 6:The location was perfect bus right outside hotel to get around. Hosts were very friendly made friendly atmosphere and go out of their way to be helpful in everyway. Veronica was excellent from the moment I called to sat my flight was delayed to all the tourist tips.
Review 7:Very friendly staff. Pieve is also great - restaurants are generally better quality than near the lake plus it's lovely to be within touching distance of the lake but without the huge crowds.
Review 8:If you book hotel , its ok with a superb view of sea and mountains. But if you book an apartment, please make sure it is at Stella not Katia. Same management but at another building. No view of the sea at all..
Review 9:+its very high.. You have to be an expierenced driver to get there, but the road is beautiful and worth the dive. + the wifi is not great at the apartaments.
Review 10:+amazing view from the apartament +great pool and chill area +great apartment +good value for the price +nice hosts +amazing road to the HOtel +very close to my favorite city-RIva del. Garda.
Review 11:The hotel room was very clean and smelt of lemon ,a nice touch .The owners of the hotel were excellent, due to it being hot we asked if they had a fan and provided us with one free of charge nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again .
Review 12:nothing! It was a perfect stay.
Review 13:Perfect! It's a little expensive but still cheaper than most hotels in this area. Wonderful room with a tiny cute Belcony. Good breakfast. Swimming pool plus nice outdoor garden. The very most important thing is, the road leading up to this hotel is every driver's dream! We'd like to drive up and down on this road 100 times
Review 14:The hotel has an old style rooms and needs some renovation. The shower was really small - it's for kids. During the second night of our stay, there was not water, so taking into account that it was mid July, it was awful to go to our beds without taking a shower. The pool was not clean but this was because of the visitors - several Germans were jumping into the pool with dirty feet, which was awful. Some of the German visitors behaved really bad making noise till 2 am.
Review 15:Breakfast was perfect Staff was friendly but hardly speaking English. so we had to practice our not so good German and Italian :) Location of the hotel - perfect view to the Garda lake
Review 16:To get up and down the mountain it takes some courage, good drivers skills, AND a small car. The room we had was right infront of the mainroad and it was very noicy. Cars, motorbikes and talk til late in the evening. Because there is no aircondition you have to choose between a hot room or a lot of noice. The restaurant next to the hotel up in the town I didn `t fancy so much. A beutyfull view thoug, but the food didn t macth the prices. Be aware of the bread the place at your table before the food arrives. It cost 1,5 euro each. And they dont tell you before the put it there. !!!!! And the bread is really not worth that price....
Review 17:Beutufull location and vieuw. Very nice and helpfull recepsionist. Good cleaning. Breakfast OK, not any fancy. Very nice pool. Ecexellent restaurant a littlle bit down the mountain. OK prices, very good quality and BIG portions. Took on a hiking trip arrangede by Tremisone, it only costed 10 Euro, the pick up close to the hotel, Very interesting guide and a beautyfull walk. After the 3 hour walk we had en exellent lunch in a restaurant up in the mountains. The comuncation was in german and Italien, but it was OK. I understood a little. Ask the Hotel and they will help you.
Review 18:same hotel has two different buildings, the photos are from the better - pricier one
Review 19:breakfast area with a very nice view, well stocked breakfast buffet
Review 20:Wifi works only in main hotel building from apartments connection is possible only from balcony (it's hard when is raining).
Review 21:Very nice location, clean rooms and very helpfull personel.
Review 22:Not comfortable, bad quality furniture, no wi-fi coverage in the room (but in the description say it has), bit expensive for the conditions. I think is not a 3* hotel.
Review 23:Clean room and the Breakfast's outside area is good. You can have a coffee with a nice view to the mountains.
Review 24:Almost everything
Review 25:The location is pure, there are better hotels above Garda lake with real amazing views. The only advantage could be the pool on the terace ( didn ´t check the quality because of bad wetter ) The room equipment is basic, old, used. Can ´t imagine to stay there longer than one night. The speciality: designed by mess of waste, IKEA and old furniture with tons of artificient flowers. The breakfest as a nightmare, fried eggs made in the morning, on the cold open plate for 2 hours - you will never risk more than tea from hotel gastronomy.
Review 26:No English language TV main languages Italianand German Not even a fan to cool the bedroom No tea making facilities inthe bedroom
Review 27:Location Free parking if left outside
Review 28:- Room walls are really not soundproof, we had a neighbor speaking on the phone and keeping us awake after midnight every night. Also every door closing sounded like it was happening inside our room. - Most staff members didn't really speak nearly any english, mostly german, but we still managed though..
Review 29:+ Nice location on the mountains + Good view from the rooftop + Calm area, safe to walk around at evening + Breakfast was nice + Clean rooms and building overall We liked the hotel and would come back. As a bonus, I really recommend you to take the road down to a restaurant called "Brasa" (the hotel staff recommended it to us for its great grilled meat, we weren't disappointed). It is an amazing restaurant, great atmosphere and food was delicious!
Review 30:Not allowed to use the private hotel-pool after 19.00 (7 p.m). Why?? Beeing away all day in the heat with the kids, you naturally want to be able to relax and cool off in the pool...?! There were many things more noisy and disturbing, such as "paperdoors" and people walking in the iron-starway late at night...
Review 31:Fantastic surroundings! Extremely funny road up to the village - maybe nothing for a beginner... Free parking in garage away from the sun! Tidy. Good breakfast.
Review 32:Very small rooms. Uncomfortable mattresses. Dated decor and the whole place does not smell clean.
Review 33:Location
Review 34:Out standing place loved it
Review 35:Stunning view of lake Garda and a memorable drive to get there (not for the faint of heart). Will definitely stay there again.
Review 36:the WiFi signal was very poor, very difficult to commute
Review 37:Clean room, good breakfast, nice view to the lake
Review 38:bad wifi connection, no reaches into rooms
Review 39:pleasant environment, nice view, breakfast
Review 40:No wifi signal in apartment.
Review 41:Friendly and helpful staff. Great views. Spacious, nicely appointed apartment. Swimming pool and grounds very nice and well maintained. Underground carpark with allocated space. Peaceful surroundings. Good value for money.
Review 42:Poor Wi-Fi connection on the second floor although good in the lobby. VPN connections not allowed which could be a factor if you're going to stay in touch with your work environment while being on vacation. Cleaners have a habit of putting fresh towels on a bidet which is... kind of an interesting approach :)
Review 43:Overall good hotel, no major complaints. Amazing view at Lake Garda from the room. Driving up to the hotel by the mountain road by car is not an issue with decent driving skills but getting there by bus must be scary as the road is very narrow at times.
Review 44:Staff hardly speaks English. Shower cabin might have been bigger.
Review 45:Breakfast is rich and delicious and lasts till 11 AM, lake and mountain views are splendid.
Review 46:Driving to the hotel was an amazing experience, winding road and need a Careful drive, but worth every minute. When we arrived, we were greeted at reception, even though it was late and served us politely and patiently. the Reflected view from the window of the room, is gorgeous, good breakfast, highly recommend.
Review 47:The short road to hotel requires driving skills, but the second road is longer and is more convenient if traveling north (to Limone/Riva).
Review 48:Staff is great, everything was clean. Pool is available anytime.
Review 49:Nice staff, excellent breakfast including fresh cherries. Good WiFi in the room (2nd floor).
Review 50:The wifi did't work properly in the room
Review 51:Very beautifull view from the window. Very nice room.
