Reviews for Grand Hotel Pomorie
Review 1:Smiling Staff .Superb food.Doorman to carry all luggage happily.Lovely room and view.Big bathroom with shower and bath with wall handle.Nothing was too much trouble.Great spa facilities.
Review 2:The Hotel has lost a bit of the nice service provided couple of yearsago. The staff should be better trained and motivated. There are a lotof elderly people, mainly from Russia using the Spa facilities. There isnothing against this fact, just bear in mind that this will be yoursurrounding.
Review 3:Excellent location. Good combination of spa, pool and sea in closeproximity. Nice architecture of the hotel. Spacious Air-conditioned roomwith balcony. All rooms with Sea view.
Review 4:No inside door in the room so we could hear the people passing in the corridor or smell the smoke of people smoking with the window of the corridor open. The check out (we called the bell boy and the cleaning lady irrupted in our room to check the mini-bar status as told by the reception)
Review 5:5 pools - large spa area open until 8 pm- massages and treatments- beach reachable via a bridge- nice restaurant- view to the sea and pool- very good breakfast.
Review 6:This is our second time in the hotel.Prices for a night stay have increased but not the quality of anything else.Spiderwebs on the balcony and the whole fasade of the hotel! The breakfast, although seeming rich l,had food left from few days like the small croissants which could break a tooth,or the muffins. I paid 45€ for a massage which was performed next to the indoor pool while all people were watching..not relaxing at all..at least put a curtain or something to keep some privacy! The SPA gets too overcrawded and you actually cannot swim in the indoor pool at one point..I would never get in that foggy jacuzzi for sure. The beach is small and even when you pay for an umbrella other people could lay next to you on their towels and we all become a large group. Defenately will not visit a third time.
Review 7:The hotel is close to the beach and relatevily close to the city center by car. However nithing much to do after a 2-3 days stay. The staff is very helpful and polite. The bathroom is big and confi.
Review 8:The cleaning lady started making noise in the corridor outside my room at 08:00 a.m. on Sunday morning (I went to bed at 05:30 a.m. I have put the "do not disturb" sign on. It did not help :)
Review 9:Nice place. Bulgaria doesn't really have 5* hotels - the bulgarians don't even grasp the concept of the 5 stars and what it actually means, but all was fine, staff was friendly, location was great, breakfast was free and quite tasty. I would visit again.
Review 10:Some staff didn't smile but most very accomodating and extremely helpful. The sky bar was excellent best Piña Colada cocktails ever but not well used as not publisised enough
Review 11:Best hotel I have ever stayed at for pure comfort, cleanliness and relaxation. Just what the doctor ordered. Breakfast every day was very high standard with plenty of choice for both vegan like myself and and meat eaters like my husband. We ate in the hotel 3 nights of the 10 night stay and again very good value and choice. 5star hotel at budget prices. The spa was excellent with indoor facilities to include Turkish bath, salt pool, jazukkci and sauna. Lovely can't wait to book again for next year.
Review 12:The gourmet food was delicious. The choices were so many that I couldn't even try everything I wanted. The room was a good size. The spa was very good as well. I had an amazing massage in the evening. The best thing was that they just changed their policy about the internet and now it was free.
Review 13:Great food, friendly staff, and amazing location. I was nicely surprised when I was told that the wifi is free of charge. Great place to have business meetings as well
Review 14:Especially the salt water pool because of its minerals. Comfortable room size and perfectly clean surfaces. Breakfast had a large choice. Will definitely visit again!
Review 15:Excellent location, right between the sea and the salt lake. The salt pool and mud treatments were excellent. My wife had a great kinesotherapy massage. We tried the barbecue menu and it was very good. Rooms are clean with an excellent sea view. Excellent for families!
Review 16:Wifi not free at rooms and the dinner was not so good for a 5* hotel.
Review 17:Very clean hotel. The breakfast was very good. Very nice spa facilities.Ideal destination for relax.
Review 18:Very Musty smell - Old type Hotel The area is full of construction sites Why charge for wifi in the Room?
Review 19:The Restaurant was trying very hard to impress and food was good
Review 20:the salt water pool is amazing. the spa is also excellent, although it could use a bit of refreshing. the mud treatments and massage therapists are excellent. beachfront location and views, to top it all off.
Review 21:Disaster area around the hotel (construction, excavation and road works, mud and dirt) quite a few parking places. In a five star hotel one expects a bell boy to help with the luggage.
Review 22:Spacious rooms, clean. Good SPA, although overcrowded in the weekend.
Review 23:Staff and service - typical Bulgarian - i.e. not professional and rude
Review 24:spa center - shabby but still ok, because of the Nature contribution not human's
Review 25:Although the staff was very helpful and polite in general I think that for a 5-star hotel the quality of the staff should be higher.
Review 26:The spa centre's facilities were excellent! Double room was quite spacious. Room was cleaned every day.
Review 27:they didn't tell us they're changing the water in the main indoor pool; the ice room was out of order; on Monday, besides changing the water in the main indoor pool, the staff behaved very rude (turning off all the lights 5 mins before closing time) and most of the facilities were turned off (dry sauna, russian sauna, steam room). also, although our reservation clearly stated we have free wifi included, they told us they changed the policy on our last day there - u had to pay 3.5 eur/day.
Review 28:the spa facilities the location - seaview rooms the breakfast the staff, except the spa staff
Review 29:- right in front of the hotel there is a night bar(not very good for sleeping) - the medical prosedures were made with old equipment ( no renovation of the procedure rooms either) - not the best value for that price
Review 30:- exellent spa - clean rooms - easy to find - close to the beach
Review 31:The beach organisation is poor even they have a beach bar. You should hire an umbrella and shezlongs as well otherwise you are under the sun.
Review 32:Thre are two nice swimming pool. Spa center is also very nice. The breakfast is good. You can find at least 5 kinds of cheese, hot snackes, fruits almost whatever you want. Wi-fi is fast and strong from all of the hotel and it is free.
Review 33:Staff!!! While this does not apply to all the staff some of whom werefriendly, overall the most negative impression is from both hotel andspa reception staff. A few of them really should not be working inpositions with customers. They are unfrendly, difficult to steal a smilfrom and above arrogant - giving a clear indication that questions youask annoy them and responding with a really bad attitude. I really hopethat owners of the hotel can look into this.Food could be easily improved. With some effort owners could make this a perfect holiday destination.
Review 34:The hotel is great and offers great value for money. Excellent locationoutside the town center and next to/between the sea and the lake. The spa facilities are great (although procedures themself are pricey).
Review 35:Most of the staff don't speak Englisch. I book 2 rooms and get 2 rooms with 2 beds. They give 2 times the wrong keys and promisse to put the beds together( I ask for this) and don't do this. Never see so unprofessional staff in my live. You have to put before your booking that you want a kingsize bed and they can not guarantee this.
Review 36:Nice rooms
Review 37:wi-fi was not enough capacity. we paid money for beach and it was expensive.
Review 38:Staff was talent. room was large and clean. breakfast had many kind of food.
Review 39:Staff at breakfast was really bad for the quality of hôtel. Obnoxius and impolite. I would fire them all and hire a complète New crew. The chair and beach facilities are way over priced, should be free for an hôtel of That standard.
Review 40:This is one of the best hôtel on the coast. Facilities are great. Really enjoyed our stay.
Review 41:Service of all staff - in the spa, restaurant, reception does not meet the 5 star hotel standars and the price of the hotel. Poor breakfast at hotel 2 level, no variety, and no ordered, the food was complemented into the empty already dirty dishes - eggs/cheese/fruit, drip it in front of the guests. Unprovided included in the price service - sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool. Incorrect account at check out.
Review 42:Nice spacious rooms with good furniture, sea view, large bathroom with separate shower, small but maintained green areas and gardens.
Review 43:My unpleasant surprise was how unprofessional the staff at the reception was. This hotel has such a potential to cross sell services and to make people want to come back, but at the time of check-in we were just given a bunch of cards and sent to our room. No explanation where the breakfast would be, where we can have lunch (since we arrived at 1.30pm), that 2 of the plastic cards are for the towels at the beach, how to take benefit of the main USP of the hotel- the spa (that was our intention when we chose this hotel). The staff at the spa reception and those performing spa treatments behaved in a similar absurd way. I had a feeling that the cleanliness at the pools and the spa is below par. And btw, should you go there with the intention to relax in the spa, it won't happen. Not at least in the high season. Don't imagine tranquilly surrounding with Asian music. Music is not there at all and the jacuzzis and the salt water pool resembled of soup of human bodies and children were splashing everywhere around. That made relaxation next to the swimming pools much better. Probably the low season will be better from that point of view. All in all, I'm not sure if I'm going to head back there. I'm 38 yr old and I was there with my mother who's 58yr old. I live in Dubai, where 5-star hotels offer unmatched luxury and have high expectations. Of course the price we paid at pomorie grand was not a match, but still basic things like service and cleanliness has to be bettered to match the facilities offered.
Review 44:Rooms are ok for a 5-star category. Nice bathrooms. The spa has plenty of free facilities to be used - 2 jacuzzis, salt water pool, ice room, shock room with a bucket with ice cold water, sauna, steam, Turkish bath, Russian bath etc. the hotel has 3 outdoor swimming pools. I think the water in the 2 of them I tried, could have been a little warmer - in the morning it was chilling for me. The whole day restaurant was nothing special but I got a good service there. In general the F&B staff was very helpful and courteous. Not too far from the old city, the beach is cross the road and we were told it is paid. There's a nice beach bar opposite the hotel.
Review 45:Have to pay for beach umbrella and chair extra
Review 46:SPA
Review 47:Attitude of few staff members
Review 48:Location. Hotel services.
Review 49:Wasps and spiders all over!
Review 50:Good food in the restaurant.

Review 53:Wi-Fi with has bad coverage, breakfast is good but the same every day.
Review 54:Spa center, mud procedures, beautiful garden.
Review 55:- breakfast; - spa zone, swiming pools; - room with perfect sea view.
Review 56:There was a diference between price from booking and price requested to pay at the reception!!!!
Review 57:Hotel is very good
Review 58:only place in the country with the presence of mad and lye
Review 59:The SPA center is wonderful.
Review 60:For a 5 stars hotel there should be free Wi-Fi in the rooms
Review 61:The warm salty pool, sauna, steam bath, etc. SPA facilities, the cuisine
Review 62:Free wifi is only available in public area.
Review 63:Spa center was very nice! Salt pool, saunas, mad treatments... We spend whole day there.
Review 64:spa could be open longer (only till 8pm)
Review 65:nice clean spacious room, nice view, good breakfast
Review 66:Poor wi-Fi signal, nothing else!
Review 67:Everything was perfect!
Review 70:Cleaning .Some dirt and dust .Must be improoved .Wireless internet in the rooms , poor signal.
Review 71:Great Spa . Inside swiming pool , sauna , mud bath . Spacious rooms , confortable beds . Nice sea view . Good breakfast and lunch , restaurant a la carte , good bulgarian wines from local area
Review 72:The breakfast was a bit poor for such high class hotel, and wi-fi was a bit slow and didn't work properly every time in the room
Review 73:I enjoyed almost every moment of my stay in this hotel. Spa is excellent!!
Review 74:Children should not be allowed into the spa area, as many disturb the relaxation in the Jacuzzi, steam, Turkish, sauna, etc... since they go there to play. no fresh juices in the breakfast (the ones served were poor quality) there is a bar playing loud disco music right in front of the hotel which can be clearly heard in the rooms. Very annoying and difficult to sleep before midnight.
Review 75:price quality very good great staff (we had an electrical switch board problem in our room - promptly and friendly solved) Great location well maintained pools and equipment
Review 76:They tried to rob 40 euros from us , accusing of having broken a lamp which we even did not touched. We are regular guests, and we were very disappointed by this tentative of stealing money from us. Luckily we speak Bulgarian, and after a big fight we got the 40 euros back, but a non Bulgarian speaking person would not be able to do it. So basically there is no customer care in this place. If things are going well , good for you. If things are going badly , you are on your own.
Review 77:Everything was perfect
Review 78:I liked tho hotel, the swimming pool, the comfort and food.Thank you!
Review 79:A little bit slow wifi connectivity
Review 80:Excellent facilities, especially spa center with salty mineral water
Review 81:tv in the room is not good, on some places in the SPA it is quite dirty
Review 82:very kind personnel, close to the beach
Review 83:I liked everything
Review 84:mud treatment + fair good spa
